While driving vehicle reached high temperatures due to the engine head gasket failure. This problem causes the engine oil and coolant to leak out of the engine. Also the fan runs erratically and on and off continuesly causing the vehicle engine to stall.

Noticed car was leaking oil; checked oil level and oil wasn't even registering on the oil dipstick. Required two (2) quarts of oil to fill to proper level. It appears as though the oil is finding its way into the coolant system and being expelled from the coolant overflow (expansion) tank. Almost two weeks later the vehicle required another quart and was losing oil and coolant at an alarming rate (pouring out of the vehicle). Dealer has insisted problem doesn't exist and has accused me of putting oil into coolant overflow tank. This is a blatant lie on their part to avoid warranty liability. He insist that there is no way for oil to find its way back into the coolant system. I have researched this statement and it is utterly false (either the head gasket or the water jacket could be responsible, among other things). They refuse to acknowledge the problem or fix it instead insisting that the car is operating according to factory specification and that it is safe to drive. My understanding is that this could result in an engine fire if the engine overheats, engine seizure, etc. , any one of which could result in the loss of life, mine or my family.

Head gasket failed. Checked repair costs at 7 different mechanics, including Dodge dealer ($650-$1000); all seemed very familiar with the problem. Many didn't even have to look up the price to repair, they knew it off hand. 4 different family/friends also have had same problem. Was told by dealer to watch for oil leaking into coolant, as this is another common problem, with more dire consequences. Why is this not a recall issue?.

Blown head gasket, causes oil and coolant leaks and overheating. Dealer notified, and informed consumer that vehicle was not covered under a manufacturer's recall, and vehicle was out of it warranty. Feel free to provide any further details on this matter.
Engine leaking oil/water mixture out through coolant bottle, average about 1 quart per engine run or 100 miles whichever is first.
I bought this car on 3/15, on 4/11 I had to go back with a major oil leak, dealer replaced oil pressure switch, went back 4/18 still leaking, put in a tracing dye, went back on 4/25 was told it would need a head and valve cover gasket to stop leaking, cam sensor mentioned but not repaired. Head gasket replaced on 5/3, by 5/6 almost all oil lost mixed w/coolant and foreign material. Dealer now says it has a cracked head. This is ridiculous, there should be an entirely new engine because we all know it won't stop here!!! this has to be stopped, I have checked other websites and not found any recalls by Dodge for this problem, your website has shown me that this is happening far too frequently.
