Gasoline Engine Problems of Dodge Neon - part 2

This problem should not happen in modern cars. My car is only a year old. I know that I am not the only person that has found this malfunction as surprising! the dealer probably will never own their responsibility in this matter. I would like to take all percussion to insure satisfaction. I wouldn't even mind if they would agree to releasing me from any obligations. They can have the car back!.

Mechanic advsd of problem w/head gasket on Neon & to call Chrysler. Chrys paid 50% of charge, but now pay 100%. Dealer advsd of problem w/orig vendor producing faulty head gasket. Contact Chrysler for assistance.

Original motor was replaced at 22,000 miles because a bearing spun and ruined the block. Then again, this time, the same thing in the same cylinder(#2 or #3, I forget) happened again. Engein oil is checked every 3 days, and oil is changed every 3500 miles.

This car was overlooked as a severe problem at spitzer Dodge. They thought they fixed it. Problem started again about 1 month later. Another dealership fixed it was the computer took 3. 5 hrs to work on. That was on 03/12/99. On 09/30/99 the same problem developed.

The dealer is trying to blame excessive carbon buildup in an eight month old engine on poor gas. Their proposed a fix is running engine cleaner through the combustion system. It hardly seems practical to assume that the combustion system will have to be cleaned every 12,000 miles on a modern automobile running on gasoline from national companies such as amoco and shell. The dealer claims that this is a common problem with all cars nowadays.

Please help me with chrylser. I have made numberous calls and they will not listen to me. It is ridiculous that I should have to pay for all of this. The car is obviously a "lemon. ".

While stopping at a traffic light the vehicle cuts off and would not restart for about one hour. The vehicle would crank would not turn over. This incident happened 6 times between the 21st and 24th of August 1998. The dealer could not duplicate the problem, and could not find out what was wrong with the vehicle. On September 4th, the vehicle just cranked and never started. The vehicle was towed to the dealership.

Oil seal failure.

Consumer can be driving at approx 55 mph or less the vehicle will lose all power, engine will turn off , consumer tried to put it in neutral in order to gain control but cannot, had to pull over put it in park in order to start again. This defect has no warning, have taken it to dealer 6-7 times cannot find problem, changed plugs/plugs wires,put in cam sensor.

Rocker arm assembly defective.

Dealer can't get me in for 6 days b/c he said that they didn't know what was wrong, even though a garage told me. If it blows in that time, I should not be liable for all additional costs, ie. Blown engine there's a TSB out on this, but there should be a recall. I also now have to pay for a rental car. Dt.

I am having a problem with the service center. They removed a part from my car and told me it was broken when it wasn't. Then they are trying to charge me for it. They said another part was broken, but they broke it. They are committing fraud. I don't want to pay them for damage they did to my vehicle. Mr.

When traveling vehicle cut off without prior warning, causing a rear end collision. No lights illiumanted on the dashboard, indicating vehicle had cut off. Consumer has contacted the dealer. Manufacturer's recall number 676 concerns the same type of problem unsure if the vehicle is included. Please provide any further details.

This car need to be recalled. If this many Neon owners are having head gasket problems, then diamlerchrysler needs to get involved and fix it's mistake. No safety defect listed in summary.

Talked to many other Dodge Neon owners with same paint problem. The blue (periwinkle) paint chips off. No safety defect.

The car has a manual transaxel. It jerks when shifting and when releasing foot from gas and return when driving in all gears. Acts like incorrect fuel/air mixture. Dealer claims this is normal. It is elusive but not normal. It could prove dangerous merging onto freeway.
