Wiring Problems of Dodge Neon - part 2

I drive a Dodge Neon srt-4. The number 4 spark plug wire is turning snow white, it look s like if I keep it on, it will eventually fail and burn up. I have heard about someone else's wires burning u, and also have seen pictures. I do not want the same thing to happen to me.

Air conditioning suddenly went out from cold to hot air. Code in system is p0645, says a/c clutch relay circuit, an open or shorted condition detected in the a/c clutch relay control circuit. I bought the service manual for Dodge 2000 Neon. I went to the Dodge dealer and they said a wire breaks on the black harness attached to the clutch relay on the air conditioner. I hit a bump in the road when the air went from cold to hot air. I checked all fuses are ok. There is no power though to the harness to the high pressure cut out switch or the low pressure cut off switch or the black connector on the air conditioner. The service manual says this may be caused from defective wiring - fuse - or relay. I can't afford to go to the dealer and have them trouble shoot the problem. Any ideas to what my problem is and how to fix it? I'm still paying my car off and already spent 400. 00 to replace brake rotors etc. . , now my air conditioning is faulty. Help! help!.

Car electrical intermittently goes out without warning, while moving or parked. Radio goes out, all dials go down to zero, power steering and brakes do not work. I have taken the car to the dealership on numerous occasions, mostly by tow-truck, to fix the problem. Dealer says they cannot duplicate the problem, installs CO-pilot, but car does not act up while it's installed. I have contacted daimlerchrysler assistance center, but they say it's not their problem. My warrenty is almost up and I am afraid I won't have the money to take the car in anymore, this situation is severely dangerous, the car will come to a dead stop on the freeway or in the middle of an intersection, I have had a few close calls and am worried that I will get hurt, or worse.

While driving at any speed vehicle will intermittently stall. After a few minutes engine could be started as if nothing ever happened. Vehicle experienced this problem twelve times in the last year. Dealer informed consumer that there was a problem with the wiring harness, and there was a recall. However, consumer's vehicle was not included due to VIN.

Vehicle would overheat if it was sitting at stop light. Dealer replaced jumper wiring and radiator fan relay. Also, manufacturer had a technical service bulletin. Consumer will add additional information relating to TSB.

Thursday, January 16th, 2003: when driving at night, my lights turned off. I stopped and then discovered my high beams still owrked. Drove home Sunday, January 19th, 2003: attended funeral of uncle and did get to leave till dark. Drove home with high beams. When arrived home, low beams now work conditons: was extremely cold, temperature well below normal.

While driving electrical system malfunctions/ gauges on instrument panel all go haywire. Dealer has been contacted. Please provide any further information.

Dealer notified. Replaced air conditioner compressor and fixed broken wires. Second time wires came loose (date: 5-24-2000), dealer fixed and reluctantly accepted the charges.

Wiring shorted out in steering column, causing a melt down of other wires, this condition caused smoke to come from steering column on five occasions within two weeks. Brought vehicle to dealer for repair, told wiring harness needed to be replaced. The short occurred in the steering column due to rubbing or vibration causing the wire to become exposed and overheated, melting the other wires near it.

While driving noticed that there was smoke coming from front of the windshield and hood located on the outside of the vehicle. Then all of a sudden a fire broke out by the outside of the hood and windshield.

While driving engine back fired. Also when reversing vehicle stalled. Dealer changed the spark plugs and wires, but the problem continued.

Engine, wire harness and brake problems. Engine and wire harness were replaced two or three times. Left front pads and rotors were replaced on numerous occasions. Engine blew up for the third time and was towed to a local mechanic. Mechanic said that vehicle's engine needed replacement. Also, instrument panel never worked properly. Air conditioner (ac) went out after two years of purchase. Ac was never repaired. Vehicle overheat most of the time. Consumer received recall notice on engine wiring harness may short circuit due to contact with egr tube from Chrysler corporation.

Power windows and air conditioner failed due to short in wiring.

Recall 676 electrical harness wiring; f. X. Caprara Chrysler not aware of recall instructions or parts. Please describe details.

Hit a pole on an parking lot access road at approximately 15 mph. Car started on fire and burnt the entire car. The interior was completely destroyed.
