Alternator/generator/regulator Problems of Dodge RAM

Consumer made an appointment with the dealer regarding recall remedy 02v042000. The recall letter stated remedy should not take any longer than 30 minutes. The consumer had an 8:45 am appointment, but after 2 hours, the dealer had not inspected the vehicle. The consumer then had to leave without remedy due to time constraints.

Circuit breaker had burned while driving. Prior to problem generator light had came on, and voltage regulator went very low. Vehicle had stopped dead.

Vehicle was wired to pull a fifth wheel, while driving the computer chip and alternator burned out and shorted out, causing fire, claim 55-s270-703.

Fire appeared to have started from the alternator, fire caused battery to explode/melt and got acid all over, consumer stated in March the engine had to be rebuilt, the oil had been changed 1-2 weeks prior to fire, claim 16-n124-673.

When new the vehicle in question lost all lights. Eveything went out. Dealer replaced all bulbs. In a few days the lights all flickered. The dealer replaced the alternator . The problem still existed. In florida another dealer coud not find a problem took it to anothe dealer they replaced some more parts a few months later the problem has rehatched again lights flicker this is a safety recurring problem.

Consumer was driving and smelled fumes, pulled over, the engine almost caught on fire this is the same thing that happened in the electrical recall # 95v237000, dealer said consumer not in recall . Please describe .

Dealership is giving consumer a run around regarding recall 02v042 for the central power distribution cable. Consumer has attempted to have recall completed on 3 occasions, however the dealer has never made repairs.
