: the contact stated while driving at 65mph the front end of the suspension in the vehicle dropped down. This in turn caused the contact to loose control of the vehicle. It slid into a guard rail, there was no warnings prior to the crash. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop and then towed to the dealership. The manufacturer has been alerted, no repairs made.

While traveling on highway and without prior warning, steering wheel will wander off to the left. Dealership is aware of problem.
Track bar affects handling and safety of vehicle, I have heard of many complaints of this part.
The vehicle vibrates (up/down) severely in the 40-45mph and 60-65mph range. Since the original tires were fairly worn, new tires were purchased and were force balanced by the dealership. The problem still persists with no solution in sight. Correspondence with daimler/Chrysler has not raised any concern or interest on their part. There is currently one other complaint in the odi database identical to this one.

The truck wanders left and right while going down the road. Since new, the steering has seemed "vague". The play in steering wheel can be 4" before turning the truck, this may vary. The steering seems "rubbery". I have had the front wheels aligned two times. The dealer can do no more; they have done a great job of bringing the truck into "specs". A square "linkage tube" was replaced, which provided little or no improvement. The problem persists, constant correction is required to maintain a semblance of a straight path. This problem must be repaired before one of the many complainants runs off the road.
Truck wanders all over the road with constant need for correction by moving steering wheel back and forth. Also steering wheel is not able to be moved when truck is at a standstill, power steering pump does not put out enough power to turn if truck is not moving.
When applying brake pedal while driving at a highway speeds vehicle will pull to left, causing poor vehicle control. Consumer has contacted dealer, and dealer has yet to make any changes.
Experiencing excessive effort while going up hills and a pinging noise when driving.

Problem #1: front suspension bottoming out on speed bumps, and at low speed bumps. Vehicle frame is smacking down on top of axle. Front suspension bushings wearing out prematurely. Problem #2: driver door mirror glass loose. Dealer installed new mirror, still loose, ordering a second mirror. Problem #3: engine shakes at start up and while idling. Also gas mileage has not improved.
Severe pulling to the right when brake were applied. Vehicle been into dealer shop on five occasions, and unable to locate problem. Provide any further information on this matter.
Steering problem. Vehicle has a severe wander problem. Front end has been aligned and recently a new track bar installed, but vehicle still continues to demonstrate the wandering problem. This condition causes an unsafe handling problem although I have not had an accident.
Consumer states that the front end of the vehicle will continuously break while the consumer is driving. Please add further information.
I contacted you by phone but was not satisfied with the operator and I am submitting you this e-mail ontop of the info I gave the operator. While driving n. Bound on i69 my truck had a shake in the front end for a split second and the rim and tire flew off. After getting the truck off the highway I observed that all the studs that hold the rim on had snapped off at the base of the threads. The holes in the rim for the lugs showed no sign of wear that would have indicated that the lugnuts were loose. These tires were last removed by danville Dodge dealer on 3/26/99 to replace the u-joints that went bad on the front axel. The tow truck operator informed me that he had picked up several Dodge trucks with the same problem. I also have a cousin that had a Dodge on which one rim had all the lugnuts break off. The truck is currently at mike anderson Dodge, 3527 s western Ave. , marion in, 46953, phone# 765-674-3394, my contact is ed in the service dept. I have contacted daimler Chrysler customer center who has opened a file #6331098 and is sending a investigator to look at the damage and determine the cause. Thanks rick.

At highway speeds, vehicle has vibration. Feels like tire slightly out of balance, but tires have been balanced repeatedly, wheels have been checked for true, and tires have been checked for out of round. Dealer stated that stock goodyear tires "are known for having a rough ride" but are not covered by warranty because they are "wear items". Dealer suggested replacing wheels and tires, both of which were done, but not at dealer; problem was not resolved and cost nearly $2000. Vibration is significant enough that front passenger seat can be seen vibrating. This is more of a nuisance than a safety hazard, but can make for an uncomfortable ride. Dealer's comment has been that "that's the way a truck rides," and stated that there was nothing that they could do to resolve it.

When driving over a bump or pothole, front suspension will shimmy violently. Shimmying continues until vehicle is pulled to side of road and speed is reduced. Shocks have been replaced, and did not resolve problem. There is no rhyme or reason to cause. Some bumps and potholes cause, some do not. Sometimes, shimmy starts mildly and progressively gets worse. Although occurred at 65, also occurs at slower highway speeds. If you know of a fix that is available (e. G. , dealer retrofit), please e-mail me! although this has not caused an accident, chances are it eventually will!.
While driving 60 mph front end vibrates or shakes, causing the wheel to feel like a wave in which the occupant may lose control which could result in a crash. Manufacturer is aware of the problem, but consumer has to pay for repairs. Please provide further information.
