1 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2008 Dodge RAM

Failure Date: 10/22/2022

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Ram. The contact stated that he heard an abnormal noise in the front driver’s side wheel. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the wheel bearing failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30-35 mph making a left turn, the front driver’s side wheel detached from the wheel bearing. As a result, the vehicle started to spark and dragged into the concrete of the street. No injuries were sustained. No medical assistance was required. The contact was unsure if a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the driver’s side brake line and wheel bearing failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall, but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 186,000.

2 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2007 Dodge RAM

Failure Date: 12/31/2009

2007 Dodge Ram 15. Consumer states vehicle has bad wheel bearing. The consumer stated she heard a loud noise while driving. The consumer pulled over and discovered the tire was sideways.

3 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2006 Dodge RAM

Failure Date: 11/20/2008

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram. While driving less than 30 mph, the vehicle began to vibrate hard and the front driver's side wheel detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The dealer stated that the wheel bearings were more than likely the cause of the failure; however, they could not assist because the vehicle was 2,000 miles out of warranty. 4 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2003 Dodge RAM

Failure Date: 11/27/2007

Both front wheel bearings on my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 failed at 60,300 miles. I was informed by the dealer and Chrysler that the power train warranty does not cover wheel bearings / hub assemblies. The 2006 version of this vehicle has a national recall on the same assembly / part due to insufficient lubrication. This truck is not used for commercial or towing, it is primarily a passenger vehicle.

5 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2006 Dodge RAM

Failure Date: 05/08/2007

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact received recall notice # 07v038000 (suspension:front:wheel bearing). The recall part is on back order and the contact has been waiting for approximately three months. The vehicle has not experienced any failures at this time. The current and failure mileages were 20,000.

6 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2006 Dodge RAM

Failure Date: 03/23/2007

- the contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram. The contact received a recall #07v038000 for the front wheel bearings. The dealer did not have the part because the manufacturer was not releasing the part. The manufacturer stated that the dealer had not ordered the part. The vehicle currently had 26000 miles. There had been no failures to date.

7 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem of the 2000 Dodge RAM

Failure Date: 03/15/2004

While having the front passenger side tire check by the dealership because it was balled. The dealership noticed that the wheel bearing lubrication had depleted. This resulted in the hub developing rust and the axle seizing.
