1 Hazard Flashing Warning Light Unit problem of the 2011 Ford Edge

Failure Date: 05/10/2020

While driving in the city my hazard lights came on automatically and I could not turn them off. This also made my blinkers incapable of being used, a clear safety issue and law offense. My hazard lights continued to turn on and off automatically leaving me with a drained battery. I have researched the recalls and it seems this can be a fire hazard but my car was not on this recall list.

2 Hazard Flashing Warning Light Unit problem of the 2019 Ford Edge

Failure Date: 06/03/2019

Single point of failure where ground wire disconnected from ecm and car lost 100% functionality and shut down completely while operating/driving while stopped at a red light. Hazards warning lights were non operable therefore my concern is if airbags would of even actuated if a rear end accident would of occurred since the vehicle had no functionality. Issue caused major traffic back up and police had to have vehicle towed to dealer. While waiting for tow truck, I had to climb over center console to manually open rear door to remove my toddler from stranded vehicle on a main road (13 mile and drake, farmington hills). I already voiced a corporate complaint with Ford and they did nothing to resolve issue or put me into an equivalent vehicle. The vehicle has also had previous odd/screaching rear axle noises and brake sticking/locking up issues when putting into reverse after parked overnight and has been into the dealer 2-3x for this issue. Vehicle is <6 months old.

3 Hazard Flashing Warning Light Unit problem of the 2012 Ford Edge

Failure Date: 05/18/2019

I get ready to start my day as usual I go and start my vehicle (stationary) to warm it up, as I got ready to set the temperature in the SUV I noticed the bottom touch panel did not light up. So I pushed the button to turn off the heat that was blowing and it didnt turn off, I tried and again and nothing. Its to hot in texas with little children to have electrical problems that effect the air conditioning. I pushed other buttons to see if anything worked and still nothing, the hazard lights will not function nor will the electric windows. My family and I drove the vehicle to my destination afterwards I had the fuses tested they are good, but was told it is front interface control module. This is my only vehicle and hopefully a Ford dealership can give a better diagnosis than auto part store.
