2 Trunk Lid problem of the 2013 Ford Edge

Failure Date: 07/01/2012

The automatic trunk has no sensor for items or people in the way. When you hit the close button, it continues to close despite someone or something in its path. It has no sensor to retract or stop closing. It is extremely dangerous considering the speed and weight of the door. I worry that my child will get caught in the door as my spouse and I have been hit by the door on multiple occasions.
