Vehicle equipped with myford touch system. System controls heating/defrosting system. This system has failed to operate properly on multiple occassions. Ford motor company is aware of issue and has not corrected it. Ford should not be allowed to market vehicles that do not have properly functioning heating/defrosting controls. These vehicles are dangerous and the issue is well know by internet searches. People rely on vehicles to operate properly in winter conditions. This needs to be addressed. Thank you for your help.
The mirrors on the Edge are placed so that they continually block ,significantly, vision on either side of the vehicle. They are placed very high and are large enough to interfere with with left and right vision. This problem seems to be significant enough to have resulted in a lowering on the Ford 150 trucks with the same high mirrow problem.
The instrument panel contrast is inadequate in my 2009 Ford Edge. The gray background does not provide adequate contrast in many daylight situations to allow safe review of speed along with fuel level, engine temp, and rpm. The primary concern is that the driver must turn attention from the road to try to read the gauges in daylight conditions thus creating a potentially unsafe operating condition. I have reported the problem to Ford and my local dealer. The local dealer has indicated that he has received other complaints about this condition, but at this time there is no resolution offered by Ford. Ford indicates this vehicle operates within the specifications for make/'model. The night time readability is good. This is only a daylight issue under differing levels of ambient light.

While driving down the road, my sunroof completely shattered. Today was very hot approximately 110 f. Upon inspection of the sunroof, there were no striking marks. The event was so fast and loud, some debris blew back onto following vehicles creating a hazard. At this time, the vehicle is at the dealership for assessment. The vehicle is a 2007 Ford Edge with less than 9000 miles.
This vehicle has a couple of problems I am concerned about. First, when you roll down the windows, reach speeds of 30+ miles per hour, then try to roll the windows up, it creates a terrible vacuum pressure inside of the car. This pressure always makes my ears hurt, and I believe may be damaging my eardrums. I find it disturbing that as a consumer, I can not roll down the windows of my car in acclimate weather, because of the pressure that is created inside of the car when I do so. Also, I don't know if others have had the same problem, but this car is a shock hazard. I am constantly getting shocked every time I close the door of this car. It is a concern, and I always worry that when I go to a gas station it will create a spark (god-forbid). I have no contacted Ford motor company, but I have every intention on doing so. Right now, I have a laundry list of issues, but none as major, in my opinion, as these. I thank you very much for your time. It is my hope that if you get enough of these complaints, because I refuse to believe I am the only one, some changes will be made. Hopefully, no one will have to sustain any ear damage or spark a fire, before these issues are resolved.
