The rear view camera glitches and the display is either blacked out or scattered. The motion sensor does not always work when this happens. I was not aware of an on coming car while backing up causing a safety risk. The screen will start glitching and become distorted while I am already backing up, making it hard to know where the objects are. There are not any warning lights to indicate a problem. I brought the car to the service center at the dealership from where I purchased it, they said I would have to pay for a new camera. I did not do that because there is a recall in the 2021 model and other Ford vehicles for the same issue .

Rear view (back up) camera works only on and off. The screen goes black and a warning to contact the dealer shows up. It is getting more and more frequent lately. I am having a very hard time in crowded parking lots. Now it has stopped completely.

The panoramic sun roof has cracked suddenly due to stress. There was no damage or fracture due to an impact from a rock or other outside projectile. The glass roof has simply begun to fail due to stress. I am having this issue repaired next week, but I have taken pictures for documentation. I was able to find forums online where numerous people have complained about this issue with what appears to be years 2015-2017 Ford Edges.
Backup camera not working properly. Unsure if this falls under any recall headings for safety. I’ve seen many recalls on newer backup cameras but none on this year model. Was displaying upside down or with green lines across the screen and now just completely unavailable. Has not been diagnosed by Ford and will not be diagnosed by Ford out of my pocket. Can’t afford it. But it is available for inspection. I did clean some corrosion off of some wiring harness connections to no avail. Please advise.

My rearview camera images are upside down, and sometimes do not display when reversing, just as the recall they are having on the newer models right now.

When I got into my vehicle one morning after it had been parked outside overnight the panoramic sun/moonroof glass looked like it had big cracks throughout, but initially thought it was just puddled water outlines since we'd had a good rain event overnight. After vehicle dried later that day I still saw the lines and when I investigated I could feel the cracks/crevices in the outer glass but it had not cracked on the inner layer of glass. I am not certain if that cracking happened overnight in the rain and/or night cold temp fluctuations in WI, or whether it had started smaller earlier in the week and hadn't immediately noticed it. I am not aware of any stones or hail hitting it that could have pinpointed the cause & and the repair technicians did not find any indication of an impact point which could have been the starting point. I have been limiting my driving until I get it fixed to ensure it doesn't either crack all the way thru and let moisture inside and cause interier damage or completely break apart and fly off into roadway while I'm driving.

Windshield wiperblades motor out not working. On wiper blade makes a noise the other wiper blade comes up and doesn't go back down.
Rear window suddenly shattered while driving . No other vehicles around . Entire windshield shattered and pieces are now falling into back hatch area . There were no passengers with me at the time . This renders the car not safe to drive . I was pulling into my driveway but had I been out on the highway (in January) this would soon become an issue of exposure to below freezing temperatures. Ford claims they have never heard of this when I’m finding other reports of this happening online . Dealership is saying it’s replaced at all my cost also ? seems like a manufacturing fault ? there is a fsa # 17b39 that canadian owners have listed. My car originally was sold in north dakota. Currently I’m in nebraska .

The driver's side view mirror glass has been distorted/warped since I bought the vehicle new. It jeopardizes my safety every time I drive the vehicle as I feel like I need extra time to focus when looking at my mirror because of the distortion. I have taken my vehicle to 2 different Ford dealerships, 1 said that they didn't see an issue and the other one verbally said that they could see some distortion but it did not justify them to do a replacement but that glass degrades over time and to just ask them to check the mirror next time when I get an oil change so that they can test to see if it's bad enough to justify a replacement. They would not give me that statement in writing. Also, as I write this I have a friend whose from out of state visiting me and they rented a car (same exact car, a 2024 Ford Edge) and I looked at the driver's side mirror on that one and the glass was perfect. . . So I now know for a fact my vehicle has defective glass and Ford doesn't want to do anything about it, instead my family and my safety is jeopardized each and every time I drive the vehicle due to a blurry driver's side mirror. I wish I could get a good picture of it but the distortion doesn't show up on my camera, but it is indeed there. It's hard to explain but when I look at it, it's as if I'm wearing out of focus glasses and as I mentioned earlier, I don't feel that's safe.

On multiple occasions, the climate control system cuts out causing no defrost, the wipers stop working, and while driving the rear brake line failed which almost caused an accident. Ford stated it was outside of the warranty however the vehicle is driven only on streets and seems like a strange failure.

I bought this car used from Honda dealership. It had 84,000 mileage on it and since then. The headlights are so dim and I can’t see you have to drive with high beam on every time I go at night I’ve changed almost we like 56 different types light bulb, but still nothing still worst. If I used one for the manufacturer one it’s nothing it’s literally dark outside. I can’t see nothing and another problem is as the ball joint since I bought it I took it from my first oil change when they did the inspection on the car they told me one of my passenger side ball joint was loose but that time I didn’t have money to repair it because it was almost $5000 they said and I was like I don’t have the money. I’m a college student so and recently my car wheel is to the left side more. Something if there’s anything I can do is there anything y’all can do to help cause I don’t want to get in an accident because of that thing.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the front windshield wipers were activated; however, the passenger’s side windshield wiper was not functioning correctly. The contact stated that the passenger’s side windshield wiper was not contacting the windshield. The contact replaced the windshield wipers however, the failure reoccurred. The dealer was contacted but provided no assistance. The contact was referred to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was provided. The contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.
At interstate highway speed and without warning, front panel of panoramic sunroof (vista roof) shattered, throwing shards of glass upward, rearward, and down into the sunshade. The closed cloth constructed sunshade was the only thing that prevented a barrage of glass fragments from injuring passengers in our vehicle, as the pieces remaining on the top of the sunshade were numerous. There was no warning for this, nor environmental cause that we could see. Incident happened on a rural stretch of highway, so other cars were not impacted. In a more densely traveled area and if the sunshade were open, this could have caused injury. Vehicle is being repaired by a dealer-group-affiliated body shop. Two of the manufacturer's dealerships were consulted and denied this being experienced before. They indicated this was not a repair covered by warranty or extended service contract and referred us to glass or body repair shops for advice and repair.
Panoramic sunroof has wavy cracks and no impact makes from anything hitting it.
The vehicle was in park, idling. We heard a pop sound and discovered the rear windshield had exploded. There was no one near or around the vehicle. I had heard this was a common issue with the Ford Edge.
Rear window breaking for no apparent issue. Broke on me over night sitting parked. Could break on someone driving dow the road and cause an accident.
(first incident) went to replace wiper blades as they were chattering. Lifted driver side arm and wiper blade fell right off without any intervention. (second incident) installed bosch icon wiper blades as they were supposed to be the best on the market. My wife was driving home at the start of the blizzard 12/21/2022 in iowa and once again, the driver’s side wiper blade fell off while in use. Extremely dangerous situation for her and everyone else she met on the highway.
Rear window shattered without anything coming in contact with the window.
My rear window exploded and created a large hole and shattered the window.
Panoramic sun roof suddenly cracked. Nothing hit it. Had it shattered while on the freeway it could have caused safety issues with the driver maintaining control of the vehicle. Not to mention injuries to any rear seat passengers.
I used the remote start to warm up my car, went outside got in shut my car door and before I could push the break and hit the start button my rear window shattered.
The windshield shattered, no collision. Just simply shattered. Cooler than ambient temperatures outside, I was using the rear defrost before the damage accrued.
The first issue I am having is that the vehicle is telling me to put my car in park when it’s already in park. This has been going on for many months now. My second issue is when I fill my tank to full and try to start it, it has a hard time turning over. This has been going on for many months now. My third issue is that my front wipers will not turn off no matter what I do. And it’s been weeks. The fourth issue I have is that two of my tires keep leaking air since I have purchased a vehicle from the dealership and I have had it in and they claim they sealed it but they are still leaking. So I constantly have to fill them up with air. This has been going on since I bought it from the dealership.
Found sun roof cracked. No impact noted just opened sliding visor and saw cracked glass.
Ford recently responded to a recall concerning the back up camera, and updated the software package. Since that time, the forward camera no longer works. The camera is used daily for parking purposes.
Rear panoramic sunroof glass curving crack. Parked in driveway when happened. Not moving.
Rear windshield shattered spontaneously. 28 degree morning 7am commuted to work without issue. 40 degrees sunny after work 4pm and glass was shattered. No foreign objects or impact.
Wipers won't shut off, they randomly turn on even while driving on sunny days. Anti-lock brake system acts up, but sensor doesn't detect that there's an issue with it. Causes problems stopping when acting up. No warning lights come on to show that there's anything wrong, just can't really stop.
Sitting in my car this morning and turn the rear defroster on and out of no where my back window explodes from the inside out. Nothing was touching it or fell on it. Alot of people have this same issue but Ford won't cover it. Luckily my daughter wasn't in her rear facing carseat or I'd be one super angry mom. Seriously a safety hazard, what if we were driving down the road and it exploded causing us to swerve and cause serious injuries to ourselves or someone else, who'd be liable then.
Sun/panoramic glass roof shattered for no reason.
The “vista” sunroof on my car is stuck open. This allows rain to come into my car providing hazardous driving conditions. The Ford dealer wants $4000 to repair & $500 to close. I’ve asked Ford several times for a detailed breakdown of costs, they have not provided anything to date.
I was driving my car in normal operations on the highway in indiana with all windows and sunroof closed. We were going straight, no sudden movements of the vehicle. Without warning the sunroof just blew out, from the inside out. Some of the glass landed on me, my wife and my son, but most of it was just gone. We had to cancel our vacation, did not get a refund. Looking to see what Ford says tomorrow when I take the car in, because of course this happened on a Sunday when dealers are closed.
