There has been safety recall for six months with no updates or fix. The fix is simple but they are not implementing it. It is causing issues for me.

The back up camera view is distorted, the image is upside down. This causes a visibility issue. I cannot use the camera to back up, I’m dependent on the side and rear view mirrors. This car has several blind spots that make using the mirrors difficult when backing up. I have nearly hit numerous cars.

The rear camera started to turn into a blue screen and sometimes it looked like static. We were told to go to Ford to change the camera (2020 or 2021?). After paying over $900 to fix the camera it broke yet again. We were 3 months past the 2 year warranty and was told if we wanted it fixed we would have to pay again. Now sometimes the camera works when backing out and sometimes its just solid blue. It is available for inspection upon request. This is risky because sometimes there are blind spots when turning our heads to ensure we are not going to hit a pedestrian. Also it takes me twice as long to reverse park due to having to use my mirrors to see the lines which causes drivers to honk or appear restless because I'm not fast enough which could cause me to crash into a parked vehicle. The problem has been confirmed by a dealership which is why they told us to replace it, but now they want us to replace it yet again. No warning lights. The vehicle no longer detects if objects are nearby. This happened shortly before the camera went out. They quoted us on fixing it and we refused due to cost. The vehicle drivers seat cooling and heating no longer works. It works for the passenger, but not the driver. This happened in 2019.

The rear view camera glitches and the display is either blacked out or scattered. The motion sensor does not always work when this happens. I was not aware of an on coming car while backing up causing a safety risk. The screen will start glitching and become distorted while I am already backing up, making it hard to know where the objects are. There are not any warning lights to indicate a problem. I brought the car to the service center at the dealership from where I purchased it, they said I would have to pay for a new camera. I did not do that because there is a recall in the 2021 model and other Ford vehicles for the same issue .

Rear camera works intermittently and is often blurry/glitches. Rear powered hatch often only closes partway then reopens.
Rear backup camera is not working telling me to contact Ford dealership when I'm backing up and is delayed on showing it I've tried resetting it and it still don't work.

I woke up one day and this is what my door looked like and it shattered my window when I rolled it down. This is the front left drivers door.
There is a shudder while driving and the rear parking system gives a warning and doesn’t work. Both issues have recalls in the same and other years of this vehicle but according to my VIN there’s no recalls. I have received a recall report for my vehicle but my VIN says no recalls.

In 2020, I paid a local Ford dealership to replace my back up camera on my 2014 Ford Edge sel. The camera had failed and gave the " camera not available" to driver. Worked until July of 2024. In July, the new camera failed. The camera "inverted" the image the driver sees. This makes it impossible to use the camera safely for backing up or hazard during back up. I feel this is a critical safety issue, causing disorientation of the driver while backing up. A call to the Ford dealer got the reply " your vehicle is not covered under any Ford recall to date. The back-up camera has failed, and we can replace it at your cost".
The rearview camera does not function properly. Most of the time, it shows a blank screen or nothing at all. Sometimes it tells me to contact the dealership. Other times, it shows the camera view but upside down. It puts myself and others at risk because I can't see clearly when I am backing up. The problem is covered by a known recall. However, my vehicle is not covered by the recall.

The rear view camera on my 2020 Ford Edge works intermittently. I found recall "NHTSA id21v011000" and called Ford, but they say this does not apply to my vehicle. The symptoms described in the recall are the same as I am experiencing. This is definitely a safety issue and I am asking that this recall be extended to include my vehicle.
Problem with car jerking when driving went to dealership and still having the problem he said that it was internal and nothing else he can do he said he changed parts paying a $725 note a month while it sits can't drive it . Scare to put on the road don't want it to break down I also end up paying out of pocket. The car was purchased through enterprise car sales payment is going to santander consumer USA payments are always paid in advance of a week and a half.
After over the air update to fix rear camera issues the front camera does not operate. The camera is used when operating at slow speeds. When the button is pushed the camera does not come on.

Vehicle transmission while in park failed to remain and moved backward on its own. My safety was at risk as a tractor trailer pulled into rest stop and had to brake b4 colliding with the said vehicle, also if anything was behind me it could have been at risk. Unknown unknown no there was no warning lamps or messages of this problem, however there were indications on the dashboard lights that stated blind spot system fault and cross traffic system fault at 45478 miles and prior.
Backup camera shows image in upside down position.

Rearview camera screen is blank or scrambled 98% of the time. The backup sensor has also stopped working. This does not allow me to utilize the safety features for parking or reversing. This issue has been found in newer models of my vehicle and those are currently being recalled. There is no warning for the rearview camera screen, but sometimes it does say that the camera is not available. This issue has been ongoing for years.
The backup camera on my 2014 Ford Edge is upside down. At night, the picture is completely unrecognizable. This year should have been included in the recent recall.
