Warnings Problems of Ford Edge

Was driving about 30 miles a hour and there were no other cars on the road and there were no obstacles in the road and tbe forward collision warning alert started flashing and dinging on the dashboard. There was absolutely no reason it should have gone off this is about the 4th time it has randomly done this now and it’s a bit concerning.

Was driving about 35 mph and out of no where the frontal collision warning went off for no reason. I was the only car on the road at the time and there was no objects in the road either.

The pre-collision camera stopped working. I was given a notice on my dashboard and had to repeat cancel 2 warnings that that indicated the front collision camera was no longer working. I brought it to g stone Ford dealership in vermont , which confirmed the camera had to be replaced. Because of the seriousness of the defective camera, I did have to have it replaced. I was concerned that the camera broke down much too early, as my mileage was only 20,235 miles. The invoice that shows it was replaced is number #10921. The car has never been in an accident.

Just recently as I was driving, I got off the freeway and my vehicle started jerking really hard when changed gears. It has been doing it ever since. I tried taking it to the dealership to assess the issue and they said it would be about a week before they could even look at the possible transmission issues and that I would have to leave the vehicle with them in order to get it in line to be assessed. After looking into my particular vehicle is seems that this is a common issue with the 2019 Edge.

Front camera malfunction, not available. I’ve tried to reset by disconnecting the battery for over an hour. Will not reset. Every time I start my vehicle I get the warning. Cleaned the windshield and that has not helped. I have 25,000 miles on my 2020 Ford Edge.

When backing up in the morning the brakes squeak and the camera goes blank when turning on the car or backing up and collision warning is coming on when no collision. And the car jerks when sitting at light, stop sign etc. According to your records this vehicle has no recalls please check your records and get back to me.

My cars rpm's started randomly jumping which would coincide with a slight jerking feeling when the car shifted gears. First I was told it was my spark plugs and then the coil packs. When both of those were changed and the problem persisted they ran multiple diagnostic tests and came up with nothing. Then my car started to shudder when I put gas in it and then the radio screen and door locks would intermittently stop working and again they found no error codes. Then my pre-collision warning system started going off when there are no cars even remotely near. The same for my blind spot indicators. They just go off for no reason. Now after months of issues and zero error codes, they say it's the transmission failing and it will cost me $6,000 to fix. That's assuming that is actually the problem.

I took my car into the dealership because my crash sensor light kept coming on & my cruise control wouldn’t work. The dealer said that the crash sensor bracket was fractured & the dealer wouldn’t repair it under warranty. The bracket wasn’t repaired, they wanted $595. 00 to repair it. While I am driving my vehicle Ford Edge when I press the gas pedal the vehicle do not respond property. Is acting like the vehicle has no enough gas and its shake the car a little bit. I took it to the Ford dealer in asheboro nc, but because is no recall in place the only option for me was to pay for a initial inspection and see if the problem can be found. About the forward collision warning is coming one in a while when we are driving for no reason. I also notified to the dealership that my dash board have a little bubbles for no reason because has always sleep inside the garage. I also reporter at Ford dealer at sanford years ago, but it's was they did not found any solution and cover to it. I am very frustrate with this situation.

Continue to experience the soft brake pedal / loss of brakes / pedal to the floor without warning. Warning collision lights continue to flash off and on. Has been checked by Ford several times and none can figure out the issue.

On 11-16-2021 I put my 2020 Ford Edge in park, got out, and it rolled away. After I put the Edge in park, I opened my door and was moving a trash can, when the Edge rolled forward pinning me.

Ford did an over the air update claiming to fix a rear distortion camera… I took to dealership (sarasota Ford to fix) that over the air update cause my front forward camera to no longer work. . My vehicle is now over a year old and I have been making payments… I have 4 case numbers, spoke with plently of mother Ford people plus its lived at the dealership … they have no fix… and they make sure they release my car at the 5 day mark, so I cannot get a buy back…. I was denied a buyback bc my vehicle wasnt there “long enough” really? there is many many folks with same issue…. This is a danger issue when u cannot see what is infront of this camera bc it stopped working… I purchased a 56k plus car and no one will help me… perhaps a class action suit to buy back or fix this issue?.

While in motion with no road traffic ahead of vehicle crash detector engages, occurred on highway straightaway. While in motion lane assist made a hard pull to the right, driver overcorrected to the left resulting in collision, occurred on highway straightaway.

While out driving my 2019 Ford Edge I began experiencing difficulty with steering. I started heading home when I tried to stop the brakes were not working. I had to use the emergency brake to stop. When I tried to turn the steering wheel it would not turn. I managed to get it parked with great difficulty. I had several warnings that flashed on the dash. I had it flat bedded to seabreeze Ford. I am currently waiting to hear from them regarding what repairs are need. This was a terrified experience to be in control of my vehicle. I just wanted to warn everyone that this could be a potential issue with the 2019 for Edge.

Bought vehicle approx 1. 5 years ago from a Chrysler dealer with 28000 miles. Presently about 46000 miles. While driving at city speed, came to a red light and started smelling this odor of burnt differential fluid or rotten egg smell. Immediately called dealer and made appt, for following day. We were told it was not the catalytic converter (which we thought it was and under warranty), but it was the cpu unit. We were also told it would cost us $3000. 00 . The warranty on the unit is 5 years or 60000 miles. Whichever comes first. How could this happen on a unit that normally lasts a lifetime. Especially at 46000 miles. We did some research because dealer said they cannot warranty or even check with manufacture on warranty. We found that this is a common defect with the 2014 Ford Edge anf Ford knows the issye and will not do anything to recall or repair any of these issues. We dont have $3000 dollars to repair the issue but am disappointed that we have to make a known repair on a vehicle boutght a year and a half ago that should not happen. Camera backup does not work, the passenger door will not latch, so it is open and flew open while driving.

Continuous failure of collision warning system that eliminates the use of cruise control. Warning has to be acknowledged and shut off via ok in controls. This occurs at start up.
