2000 Ford f-550 was being towed and experienced under hood fire. The consumer was driving a Ford f550 and was towing a 2001 Ford Escape. The owner of the Escape started the vehicle before the tow truck driver arrived. He informed her to shut it off. While he was towing the vehicle, he heard a booff sound and noticed white smoke coming from under the hood. He then pulled over, unhooked the vehicle and moved a safe distance away.
