Engine Noise problems of the 2010 Ford Escape

Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving at 75 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to coast over to the side of the road. And turn the hazard light on, shifting into neutral while attempted to restart the vehicle, but it failed to start. The contact quickly shifted into park and powered off the engine. The started that when attempted to restart the vehicle, the engine sounded as if was about to start but it failed to start. The vehicle was towed to the contact residence. The contact stated that a friend of the family google the failure and it was indicated to reset the fuel pump switch which was located on the front passenger side. The fuel pump switch was reset; the vehicle was able to drive. In another occasion, the contact stated that while driving and when slowing down the vehicle hesitated to stop. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 137,000. Aw.

While driving home from louisville headed back to cincinnati my daughter experienced our vehicle stalling out at highway speeds 3 different times. She was able to work her way over to the side of the road and restart the vehicle each time. However this was very scary as at highway speeds the sudden loss of power and speed caused traffic to almost rear end her vehicle on two of the three ocassions. When I contacted the local Ford dealer upon safely returning home they made it sound like it was an issue with the throttle body and that this is a very common problem in these vehicles. I was also told by my son that I needed to report this because this is a widespread problem. He did a quick google search and was able to see the investigation into this issue. Please do something about this before there is innocent loss of life.
