36 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 04/29/2013

Vehicle bucked violently and stalled. Called Ford to have it towed. Before tow truck arrived, vehicle restarted and drove 2 miles to nearest Ford dealer. Throttle body was found to be faulty and replaced. I had made numerous complaints about poor shifting, bucking, bad mileage, etc. And dealership always told me it was not broken in yet, and nothing could be done unless it "threw a code". Well it threw one this time. Since the replacement, software updates have been made, a warranty extension issued, and the problems with rough shifting, bad mileage and an occasional feeling like I have been rear ended (when no one is around) have continued. I have just gotten a case number from Ford. We'll see where this goes.

The vehicle did not have a diagnostic test performed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 45,500 and the current mileage was 47,000. Kmj.

38 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2011

Periodically the vehicle seems to lose power or hesitated then accelerate, I've never had it stall out. Although it happened a few times early on this problem has been more frequent lately. I have also noticed that when accelerating, for example on an incline, the vehicles takes several minutes to shift into gear. The vehicle idles very rough, it has been since I bought it but has gotten worse recently. I've mentioned it to the technician when I've taken it in for service and was told this is normal for a four cylinder. I've had many cars over the years 4 cyl and 6 cyl and I've never had this happen. I've read some of the other complaints with the same description as what my vehicle is doing.
