The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and the failure was diagnosed with set cylinder over temperature and engine coolant level low. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 98,000. The VIN was not available.

My 2013 Ford Escape has an antifreeze leak somewhere. The mechanic at independence Ford cannot find the leak. The antifreeze warning light comes on. We have been replacing coils randomly 1 through 4. Now the check engine light is on again. The only code that comes up are the codes for the coils. How can they coils be bad when we just replaced them again.

The check engine light came on and it said coolant engine, while it was in motion then it turned red and said stop the vehicle. I stop my husband put water in it to drive it home and the light went off. Then when I drove the car about 30 miles again it did the same thing.

While driving the check engine light stays on with code p0128. I check this code is the thermastat defective or something else causing the problem. I did not notice any coolent loss or leaks is this an internal problem. I think this is a on going problem with this 2013 Ford Escape. Ford should take responsibility and own this problem not the owners of the vehical.

With in a year, the following happened; the vehicle turned off while driving on the highway at 75 mph. Vehicle would not start on two separate occasions, and when it did, it immediately died but was not related to the battery. Key fob would not register to vehicle, vehicle was in motion when smoke was pouring out of the hood, no check engine light came on and nor temperature gage moved. This car is lemon based on the history from previous owner and the two years I have owned it.

Vehicle is talling intermitten while stopped or idling. Problem is becoming more and more commen. Vehicle starts back but will continue to stall when stopping or idling. The issues are the same as previous recalled vehicles with wiring harness issues. Please figure something out so this doesn't become more of a safety issues. No check engine lights come on and no mechanic can find an issue. This problem needs to be fixed ASAP Ford!.

The car stalls out from a standing stop randomly and without warning, yet no check engine light ever comes on. It is dangerous because it has stalled just as I'm pulling out into traffic. It has randomly been happening in the past two weeks.

Me and my dad had brought this 2013 Ford Escape with warranty on August 20, 2018 at don davis Nissan it had 70,093 miles on the truck the sales man name mr. Freeman was the one who had sold us this truck he had this truck was at don davis Nissan for a week the salesman mr. Freeman told me and my dad that the reason the truck had took long because they were doing work to it to make sure that everything on it would be ok before they brought it too me and my dad. So we had the truck for about two weeks and everything on their was good until September 5 2018 the check engine light had came on I told my dad what happen he told me to take it back up their to don davis Nissan I took back up to them they tested and they came back and told me that the turbo charge needs fixing and it was going to be $500 dollars so when I told my dad he told the people at don davis Nissan that why should we have to pay for something out of his pockets when we have warranty on this truck and we just gotten this truck so my dad was pissed because we just gave don davis $500 and I looked on the internet and I seen were they a had a recall on this truck so I went out their to don davis Nissan and told them this and they come telling me that my truck doesn't have a recall and I told them like how do you know what I have and I seen on the internet that the same thing that the other customers who had a recall on their truck and as I look at the comments and I seen the same thing happening to my truck like for example the electrical system engine to wear my truck overheats to wear I hardly drive it sometimes I do because I go to school and to my doctor and run errands for my mother or father. And I been telling don davis Nissan since last and now and they acted like they don't want to help me but always be lying to me and my dad I have been telling don davis Nissan this and they straight ignore me.

I bought my car this year and the handle never worked. It stays stuck in the open position and the passenger door flys open while driving every time. I have also had coolant problems since the day that I bought the car. These are all shown on a recall list for my model car but when I check with my VIN it says I have 0 recalls. I have always owned Ford such as expeditions and explorers but I am not a fan of this Escape and all it's problems. While driving, it will go hit and say low coolant and I have to refill coolant every week or so. It's cute off on my and the check engine light reads words and not codes. It says association of �something�. This has been happening since I bought it April 2019 and I'm fed up. My kids can fall out of the car because of the door or I can have big problems with these coolant issues and motor issues.

Car would have hesitation and stall while idle and check engine light would come on (p1450). Also had vibration from fuel tank and/or fuel cap. Ford dealer said has to due with evaporator purge valve. Said has seen this on �lots of Escapes from 2013-2014�. This needs to be a recall. My car stalled while driving on the highway with no symptoms beforehand.

Car shut off in traffic when idling in right turn lane. Hazards turned on and coasted to side. Pressed power button again and car started. Pulled into parking lot. Check engine light was on. My check engine light came on and I received an error reading stating my engine coolant is low. I checked coolant and it is full. My car started to stall while I was driving it. I looked up info on this website which mimicked my issues exactly. The Ford recall campaign number is 12s41. I called Ford motor compay customer relationship center and asked them about my car and explained the problems and how they mimicked the recall listed above. They said my car was not included in that. I informed them that it was a 2013 Escape which shows to fall under it and they told me that my car probably didn't get made with the same parts and may have been made at a different time. I will now have to pay out of pocket and I have a hard time doing that since obviously the symptoms mimic the recall. My vehicle is in motion when it stalls out and tells me my system is overheating and to pull over. It is a random thing. It can happen when just started or when I'm driving down the road.

Check engine light came on and I was told that it was the turbo boost. I had seen that other vehicles the same make, model, year and manufacturing date had been recalled for that issue but mine has not and now I'm looking at a very expensive fix. Car ecelerates on its on, transmisi�n jerks when u put it in gear after disengaging the hand break, rolling while in park with engine off, transmission jerks when charging from 1st to 2nd gear especially when pulling a hill. A quick internet search reveals that this is a well documented problem in several different forums, yet Ford has not taken any steps to ensure the safety of its customers. My car, in a fashion identical to the 140,000 Escapes with the 2. 0l engines, stalls suddenly while driving. It does this randomly, repeatedly, and without warning. I've been fortunate so far and have had the stalling occur only in low speed situations but I understand that other owners have stalled at high speeds. My car is a 1. 6l and was not included in the recall. I've had the power control module replaced but that has not resolved the problem. How many more accidents are required before all vehicles will be fixed? the check engine light does not consistently illuminate preventing dealers from pulling the error codes and safely and efficiently resolving the problem. This is incredibly frustrating given the danger of the situation and the extensive documentation on the internet and the existence and correction of an identical problem in 140,000 other vehicles. It's unclear why the owners of 1. 6l engines, which clearly suffer the same flaws and risks, are subject to severe injury, immense frustration, unresolved issues and escalating costs to drive what was supposed to be a reliable, safe family vehicle.

Intermittent check engine light (happens when in park or when driving). Hooked up to code reader and got p026b7; found online that the the engine coolant bypass valve is defective, but not recalled (TSB 13-02-15). Dealer confirms code and that engine coolant bypass valve is defective and should be replaced but referenced TSB 16-0052. The dealer claims it isn't covered under any form of warranty/recall.

I came to a stop at sign. The engine stalled. I put it in park and restarted the engine. It took an extra amount of time to start but did restart. I then proceeded to turn onto a busy road. Upon acceleration the vehicle hesitated and would not accelerate or respond to throttle input. I was able to pull to the side of road and narrowly avoid an accident. The check engine light did not illuminate nor are there any obd codes. Doing a little research, I have noticed that there are other year make and models that are having the same issue. I urge you to rectify this situation with Ford. This is not only a danger to me and my family but also to other drivers on the road.

Vehicle has stalled many times when first proceeding into traffic after a cold start or has even stalled after cold start before proceeding(while parked). Vehicle has been taken to a Ford dealership for service. They did not fix the issue due to the fact that there was no check engine light showing and they could not recreate the problem.

Engine shuts off while driving. It only happens when you first start the car and begin to accelerate, which is particularly problematic because you are usually pulling into traffic in those moments. I have been crossing busy roads many times when the engine completely stalls out. It is hard to duplicate the problem at the dealership because it doesn't always happen, and it doesn't turn on a check engine light. The Ford dealership has been unable to diagnose this problem for months, leaving me driving a death trap. It finally happened enough times in a row yesterday that it turned on a check engine light, Ford is able to replace the part now. I was standing next to someone at Ford who had the exact same problem, and many other drivers have experienced this as well.

Car has check engine light on for coolant bypass valve needing replaced. I am going through coolant quicker than it should, and the engine light for overheating comes on about once a month. The part has been part of a recall for later models of my car, but not mine.

On 8/29/2018 I felt like my was losing power while driving home from work. On 8/30/18 my engine completely stalled out and lost power in the middle of the road while I was driving home from work. Both times my check engine light never came on. I was able to restart my vehicle after my engine lost power on 8/30/18, and I drove it to the nearest repair place. I'm lucky that it did start back up because I was not in a safe place to leave it. I put my flashers on and began honking so that cars behind me would take notice and avoid crashing into me. I am also lucky that it did not die while driving on the freeway! the repair place told me that they took it out for a test drive to try and figure out what was wrong with it and it died again in the middle of the road while the technician was driving it.

Engine hesitates, stumbles, or loses power. The check engine light will be illuminated. Have replaced ecoboost sensor and still have the same problems. I do not feel that it is safe to drive this car.

The vehicle was taken to rye Ford dealer at (914) 967-6300 located at 1151 boston post rd, rye, NY 10580, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty and did not offer further assistance. The manufacturer referred the contact to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 67,000.

Engine wiring harness and sensor problems in 2013 Ford Escape with 2. 0 liter engine that was not included in previous safety recall. While on a vacation trip in February, 2018, the engine fault warning light came on in our 2013 Ford Escape titanium with the 2. 0 liter engine after restarting the car and entering the highway. It was followed by the check engine light. As we drove to the nearest Ford dealership, the car was increasingly hesitating and seemed to be misfiring, a dangerous situation since highway driving was required. The service technician at the dealership did an analysis and determined that the problem was in the map sensor. He replaced that sensor under warranty and the problem was apparently fixed until June 4, 2018, when identical problems appeared after a stop on a local trip. The car was parked at a safe location and on June 6 driven to a local dealership for service and repair. Analysis by the technician showed that there are problems in the engine wiring harness that are disrupting signals from the map sensor and the cam sensor, and that replacement of the complete engine wiring harness is required to fix the problem. Although this car was built during the same period as the cars covered by NHTSA campaign number 14v495000 and it has the same engine specifications and the same apparent problems, it was not included in that recall. It is clear to me it should have been. Further, it seems there are potential significant safety concerns regarding all 2013 and 2014 Ford Escapes with the 2. 0 liter engine that were not included in the original recall.

1/11/18 - throughout the driving of our vehicle as a rideshare vehicle, the engine stopped over 20 different occasions while in the drive gear, going down the street, or when trying to pull into traffic. This is becoming an extreme safety issue to all passengers in my vehicle. Please do something regarding this issue. The check engine light never comes on, therefore no diagnostic test is able to "recreate" the issue will someone need to die because of this constant stalling before Ford will fix the problem? we are extremely frustrated with the non-acknowledgement of there being an issue, when there clearly is, and no one has a solution to fix the constant stalling issues. We are ready to find an attorney an sue, prior to this being a wrongful death suit.

Was driving down road and low coolent light came on. Car went into safety mode it would not go over 5 miles per hour. Got it to auto store added small amount of coolent and it started back up with the check engine light on took it to dealer. January 5 got the car back after need hoses,valve,drove for one day and low coolent light came back on. Haven't received the vehicle back yet,called Ford called dealer but still with out vehicle millage is 89000.
