Tl-the contact owns a 2005 Ford Excursion. The contact stated while driving approximately 10 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated and the spark plugs detached from the cylinder head. The vehicle was taken to a independent mechanic. The helicore was installed and the spark plugs was replaced. The failure recurred but on a different cylinder. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage 140,000. Mf.

2 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2005 Ford Excursion

Failure Date: 04/14/2010

2005 6. 0 l diesel Excursion engine light illuminated. Took vehicle to private garage who determined that fuel injection control module is bad. This is a recall (#05v27) on many similar vehicles, but not mine. I feel the recall should be expanded to the oxford plant vehicles.

3 Check Engine Light On problem of the 2003 Ford Excursion

: the contact stated while driving 60 mph on normal road conditions, the check engine light illuminated intermittently and then remained illuminated. The illuminated light indicated the cam shaft was off center which created undesirable emissions. The epa was contacted who declared it should be under warranty for 5 years or 50,000 miles however the manufacturer refused repair the defect without a cost.
