Driving south on hwy 42, mcdonough, GA. Speed limit 55mph. Wife was traveling between 45-50mph. Car in front of her slammed on brakes to turn into a gas station, which happened to have the counties cheapest gas. Wife attempted to stop, but not in time, resulting in the front of her 2003 Ford Expedition crashing into the rear of the stopped driver. On a fairly severe traffic crash, the airbags for our 2003 Ford Expedition did not deploy. All damage to the Expedition was frontal. All damages to the stopped vehicle were to the rear.

I have a 2003 Ford Expedition. I keep getting my spark plugs fixed and the just keep blowing out on my engine creating my engine light to come on and my SUV sounds like a mac truck. This is unsafe for me and my children. We like to travel I purchased this car because I have several children and we can all fit in it. I like the truck but this is a major issue that continues and is not free.
Other vehicle ran a red light and I struck his vehicle broadside with the front of my car. Car is totaled.

A lady pulled out in front of our 2003 Ford Expedition causing an automobile accident. The day was clear, the weather was warm. My wife hit her monte carlo doing approximately 45 mph. After hitting the ladies car, both vehicles went off the road into the trees. Our car hit a rather large pine tree. With both of these major impacts, totaling both cars, none of the air bags deployed, and my wife's seat belt failed to lock. The front of our car was hit on both the front right and front left corners. We are depending and paying for these safety, it is not acceptable that they don't operate when needed. Photos are available.
- the contact's vehicle air bag deployed when she put her car in reverse. Contact is upset that dealer wont help her because the air bag has a 50,000 mile warranty and her car is at 107,000 miles. The contact received injuries as a result of the air bag deploying.
I have a 2004 Expedition eddie bauer. I rear ended a 7 ton dump truck going 40 miles an hour while he was at a dead stop. My hood was in a v and none of the doors would open. The front airbags did not go off. It was a very solid hit in the front of the vehicle. I believe the air bags should have went off. The dump truck did not budge so did not absorb much of the impact.

Vehicle with 29,300 miles. Lightly driven, well maintained, inspected, tires checked & oil changed March of 2006. Borrowed my mom's Expedition. (big mistake), leaving the houston area headed for saint louis we got about 200+ miles before the tread came off. Tomball Ford, Ford company & continental / general grabber tires changed our lives. Headed in bound in the right or center lane a grassy steep median seperated the south bound traffic. Felt a small bump so I took my foot off the accelerator to slow down & lightly braked to pull over to the right, I didn't have a chance to hit the brake when the right rear passenger tire tread came off, tried maintaining a straight direction to slow the vehicle down, but being so top heavy no matter how hard I tried it shot toward the median leaning to the passenger side where my teenage son was. Thank god he partially laid back his seat & seat belt on. When it rolled on the passenger side, from this point I am told (we both hit our heads & were unconcious) SUV shot out of the median upside down onto another car we contined to roll across the s-bound lanes & came to a stop facing east. Airbags didn't delploy, all windows were busted out(xcpt 2), driver door is the only door that opened. My son & I are thankful, I received staples to the back of my head, I have to have an mri on my head & neck, son has to have his shoulder & hip checked. Drivers seat broke loose, entire dash was destroyed. People in the other car were visiting from another country (I'm filled with sorrow & a lot of counseling ahead of me) their families are in my prayers & thoughts daily, two of the people in the other car passed away upon impact. I didn't know another car was involved. An er lady was talking about the wreck, mentioned 2 people died. I was thinkng no we didn't we are right here. I got the medic there to give me the details. All due to a faulty tire that had problems 00 & 01 model owners were notified but not 02 owners. P275/grabbers.
I was traveling at 50mph in my 2005 Ford Expedition (3,700 miles) when a chevy cavalier ran a stop sign. I impacted the vehicle without having an opportunity to hit my brakes. I was the sole person in the vehicle. Impact destroyed the front end of my vehivle, and pushed the passenger side of the cavalier to the drivers seat. My vehicle then exited the road through a stand of trees, down an embankment and came to rest on the far side of the embankment. Failure: passnger airbag deployed, but driver's airbag did not, resulting in neck injuries. Majority of damage was to driver's side of front end. Ford has expressed no interest as to the cause of the airbag failure.

While parking front air bags inadvertently deployed. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.
While sitting in a parking lot the driver air bag deployed in my 2003 Expedition. I hit nothing and nothing hit me. I called Ford they had the vehicle towed to a dealer who told me he couldn't replace the bag for three days. I could either stay in texas or cut the air bag off and drive the vehicle another eight hundred miles to home. I carried it to a dealer in birmingham and they kept it for three weeks. I'm still not sure why the bag deployed. When the bag deployed it hit me so hard it injured my left arm and my neck, I had to go to the doctor and am still taking anti inflammatory medicine.
I rear ended a truck at about 35-40 mph and neither air bag deployed. My vehicle is at planet Ford here in texas and they told me last week they was going to investigate why they did not deploy. Today they told me that it has to be a direct hit and with $9,000. 00 and the whole front folding on impact I consider that a direct hit. They totaled the vehicle I hit.
The air bag did not come out all way, when I press the horn on the steer wheel it will not respond because the airbage built up pressure . The airbage stuck.
Initial contact with oncoming vehicle at 35 mph. No air bags wnet off. Bounced off car and hit a telephone pole straight on the front of the vehicle and again no air bags went off.

While key was in ignition, but engine was not running, a child knocked gear shift lever out of the park gear which allowed vehicle to start rolling in reverse. Vehicle rolled backwards approximately 30 feet, and then started moving forward for an approximate distance of 150 feet. Vehicle crashed into a tree, causing both frontal air bags to deploy from which child sustained minor injuries. Dealership has not examined vehicle. Please provide any additional information / documentation.
While driving, consumer hit a semi-tractor and then into a telephone pole. After all of these collisions neither of the air bags deployed. The driver survived the accident with minor injuries.
