Front Suspension Springs Problems of Ford Expedition

The vehicle is rated to easily tow my boat and trailer. While moving my boat so I could mow aroung where it sits the air suspension system let out a very load sound of air. I unhooked the trailer and the rear of my vehicle was almost on the ground. I just dropped it off at the dealer and was told the air link coupler separated and this caused the air to leak out. It was a very rough ride to the dealer and also very dangerous. I am just glad I wasn't going down the road when this occured. Please let me know if this a common problem, and can I expect it to happen again.

Have had the air suspension repaired as the "check suspension" light was constantly on. Required 3 trips to dealers before problem diagnosed. Cost $255. 50 to have the air spring sole and solenoid assy replaced at ron hopkins Ford dealer in elgin, illinois. Is this covered on a recall or still under investigation. Has been a problem since we purchased vehicle.

While driving truck began to bounce uncontrolable, consumer was going to take it to be looked at and vehicle was about 2inches off the ground so consumer could not get underneath. Consumer had problem fixed. A week ago consumer started hearing the same sound again, went back to mech, and they said consumer had air ride suspension problems. Mechanic said it was a repeated problem that has not been recalled.

While driving front and rear suspension dropped which may have caused a loss of vehicle control and crash. Dealer said they need to replace the front and rear air pump automated lever ride. Please provide further information.
