Ford Expedition owners have reported 3 problems related to strut failure (under the suspension category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Ford Expedition based on all problems reported for the Expedition.
Front struts are leaking at 38,000 miles. Vehicle was never taken off road. Driver is mild at use of vehicle. Feel that the struts should not fail being this new of vehicle and low mileage. Replacement of this part takes time to receive, there are backorders. Is there a demand for this part through the country that there may be a larger problem with this part which controls the stability of the vehicle. Is Ford trying to sweep under the rug a part problem which would require another recall. Incident was reported to Ford but they said it is not covered by bumper to bumper warrany.
