Consumer received recall 99v062001, speed control cable. Contacted dealer, and no parts were available to remedy recall problem. Please give any further details.
Consumer received recall 99v062000, speed control cable. Contacted dealer and no parts were available to remedy problem. *adjpoor coordination between manufacturer and dealer. No monetary remedy for lack of use of cruise control for 3 months.
In March 1999, you issued recall nr. 99v062000 which stated that these vehicles(including mine) might have defective cruise control cables which "could potentially result in a crash. " owners were advised"not to use the speed control system until a replacement can be made. " I bought this vehicle on may 1, 1999, and was not informed of the outstanding recall notice. After driving over 1000 miles mostly with the speed contol on, I received a letter from Ford, stating "during March of this year you were notified not to use the speed contol system until you had the speed control cable inspected. . . " I wrote the dealer asking for an explanation. He has'nt replied. What do you think?.

Throttle is sticking in the close position,and upon depressing accelerator pedal, vehicle suddenly took off in full throttle. Consumer has contacted dealer, dealer has replaced throttle body. Please provide any further details.
While pulling into a parking space vehicle suddenly accelerated up to the speed of 20 mph, causing vehicle to run into a brick building. No one was injured. After repairs were made, consumer told that the four wheel drive sensor was caked wtih mud and dirt which caused it to lock up, even though the vehicle had never been used off road tothe consumer's knowledge. Dealer has not been contacted.
While trying to pass other vehicles consumer's vehicle started accellerating. Dealer has been contacted. Please provide further inofrmation.

While sitting at a stop sign vehicle unexpectedly accelerated forward without application of gas pedal. Vehicle hit another car. Dealer has repaired vehicle.
While driving 70 mph with the cruise control on, the vehicle increased its speed to 85 mph and would not decrease speed, until after having to press brakes for several seconds. Please describe details.
While driving with cruise control on or off, the throttle sticks, causing the vehicle to increase its speed without warning.
Consumer recieved recall letter 97v074000 concerning throttle linkage and control. Contacted dealer, and was informed that no parts were available to correct the problem. Please give any further details.
Consumer was sent a recall 97v074000, concerning throttle linkages and control. Contacted dealer in reference to recall. Dealer refused to correct recall's application to cold climate areas only. The car may not slow down or stop as promptly as expected, and the throttle plate may stay in the highway cruising position. This could mean a potential accident. 'jn.
Consumer contacted the dealer regarding recallnumber 97v074000/mfr recall 98r03 regarding throttle linkages and control. Dealer stated parts did not need replacing.
