1 Brake Disc Caliper problem

Failure Date: 10/17/2020

About 3 or 4 weeks ago the front driver side brake hose burst and I lost all the brake fluid. Now on 10/17/2020 the passenger front side brake hose burst. They both burst in the same area are. This is the hose that connects the main brake line to the caliper. When it was noticed the truck was in parking lot space and getting ready to drive off. Both time it happened in a walmart parking lot. I called the dealership where I purchased the truck and the service department has never seen this before. I even called my regular mechanic and he stated it was very odd for this to happen.

2 Brake Disc Caliper problem

Failure Date: 12/11/2019

I purchased this truck new in March 2015. I have had it serviced according to manufacturer recommendations every 5,000 miles. Both front brake lines have recently burst with no warning, as follows: - on 1 may 2019, when the truck had 105,488 miles on it, I pressed the brake pedal to stop at a city street red light. The pedal sunk to the floor causing the truck to enter the intersection amidst oncoming traffic. There was no warning light or sound before or after the failure. Brake fluid gushed onto the ground from the right front brake. A Ford service agent diagnosed the cause as a bulge in the right front brake hose where it met the caliper that had burst when I applied the brakes. This incident happened minutes after leaving the said Ford service facility at which they had just performed a brake inspection and said all four brakes looked new and the vehicle was in good condition. - on 11 December 2019, when the truck had 113,089 miles on it, while the truck was parked, I put my foot on the brake pedal to start the truck. The brake pedal sank to the floor. Again, there was no warning light or sound before or after the failure. I looked under the truck and saw brake fluid gushing out of the front left brake hose. A Ford service agent diagnosed the cause as a rupture in the front left brake hose.

3 Brake Disc Caliper problem

Failure Date: 05/27/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 40-50 mph, the vehicle vibrated uncontrollably. The vehicle was taken to crown Ford (located at 256 swain st, fayetteville, nc 28303, (910) 920-9614) where it was diagnosed that the driveshaft needed to be replaced, and the brake calipers, rear brake drums, front brake pads, and front brake rotors needed to be resurfaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failures were still evident. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 158,000.

4 Brake Disc Caliper problem

Failure Date: 12/30/2018

The bolts that hold the front brake caliper mounting brackets to the front spindle on both sides of the truck will come out on you, and it causes the caliper, and the caliper mounting bracket to come off on you. In my case, it came completely off once while backing up, and the other side came completely off while driving down the road. I still had somewhat back brakes left to get stopped. However, it sounded like the whole front end was coming out of it. I honestly thought the 4 wheel drive transfer case and transmission was falling out of it, due to the noise it made, and the jerking, jumping and wobbling it done when it came loose. Had I of been in rush hour traffic on the freeway, it would have caused a wreck if I would have had to stop quickly. I was lucky one come off while backing out of my driveway, and the other came off driving in my neighborhood going 20 mph. This was a scary situation due to it being a sudden event, with no warning what so ever each time it done it. I never would have thought a new truck would have a problem such as this, because it is basically the brakes falling off of it.
