1 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 08/24/2026

I own a 2021 Ford F-150, VIN [xxx]. Nhtsa recall 25v455 / Ford recall 25s75 affects my vehicle because of a potential fuel-pump failure that can cause loss of fuel pressure and an engine stall while driving. The recall was issued xxx, and my vehicle still shows an unrepaired recall with the remedy not yet available. I am concerned about the length of time that has passed without a repair being available for a safety-related defect that could cause the engine to stall while driving. I am requesting that NHTSA review the continued delay in providing a remedy. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

2 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 08/23/2026

We broke down because the fuel pump broke, which has a recall out there. We had stopped at buc-ee’s for a break and when we got back to the truck, it wouldn’t start back up. We got it fixed at banner Ford and were forced to pay $1822. 50 for a fix that a known recall is out for that they claim there’s no remedy for. But, then you’re telling me you can fix it for $1800. It makes no sense that we have to pay for something that there’s a recall for. We are just trying to get our money back.

3 Other Fuel System problem of the 2022 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 08/17/2026

Failure by Ford to fix a fuel pump issue that has been known since Feb 2025. Should a vehicle stall while being operated due to this issue it could lead to a crash. I would think such a serious safety issue would be addressed and fixed to prevent unnecessary accidents/injuries/death.

4 Other Fuel System problem of the 2022 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 08/16/2026

While driving, my 2022 Ford F-150 equipped with the 2. 7l ecoboost experienced abnormal engine operation, a check-engine light, and reduced engine power. The unexpected reduction in available engine power created a safety concern because loss of acceleration or propulsion can be dangerous when merging, crossing traffic, passing, or traveling at highway speeds. The vehicle was inspected and diagnosed by an authorized Ford dealership. The pcm stored dtc p0332, knock/combustion vibration sensor “b” circuit low. The dealer performed Ford pinpoint test dg. Testing reportedly found no open circuit, short to ground, short to voltage, or intermittent circuit fault. The dealer determined that the knock-sensor assembly required replacement. The repair involves replacement of Ford knock-sensor assembly ft4z-12a699-e, which contains both knock sensors. Access to the assembly requires extensive disassembly of engine fuel and cooling-system components. Ford’s service procedure includes removal of both direct-injection fuel rails, draining the cooling system, removal of the coolant pump, and removal of the coolant outlet connector. I am concerned about the possibility of coolant leakage or contamination affecting the knock-sensor assembly because of its location in relation to cooling-system components. I do not currently know whether coolant contamination caused this particular failure. I request that NHTSA investigate whether coolant leakage or contamination in this area contributes to premature knock-sensor failures on 2. 7l ecoboost engines. I have also identified another 2022 Ford F-150 with the 2. 7l ecoboost that was diagnosed by a Ford dealership with a similar knock-sensor circuit-low fault, p0327 also quoted replacement of the same ft4z-12a699-e assembly. I request investigation knock-sensor failures on 2. 7l ecoboost F-150s, including Ford warranty/field data and whether coolant leakage or contamination contributes to failures capable of causing unexpected reduced engine powe.

5 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 08/05/2026

I've noticed that the vehicle struggle when acceleration, specially at full stop (stoplight and intersection). Feels like the engine is going to die out if I step on gas pedal.

6 Other Fuel System problem of the 2022 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 08/01/2026

My 2022 Ford F-150 has experienced intermittent delayed starting, uneven idle, and hesitation during acceleration. At times, the engine sounds and feels as though it may shut off. I began noticing these symptoms several months ago, and the most recent occurrence was approximately August 2026. I do not recall seeing any warning lamps or warning messages when these symptoms occurred. The vehicle has not yet been inspected or diagnosed by a Ford dealer or independent repair facility for these specific symptoms, and the cause has not been confirmed. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I am concerned because my vehicle is affected by Ford recall 25s75 / NHTSA recall 25v455 involving potential fuel pump failure and loss of fuel pressure, which may result in poor engine performance and engine stalling. I am concerned that the symptoms I am experiencing could create a safety risk if the engine loses power or shuts off while driving.

7 Other Fuel System problem of the 2022 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 07/30/2026

I’m complaining that the recall for our vehicle, a software update, has now been over a year with no remedy. No parts need to be made, just a software update.

8 Other Fuel System problem of the 2022 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 07/23/2026

I am reporting a safety-related defect involving the 10r80 automatic transmission in my 2022 Ford F-150 stx. While slowing to a stop during normal driving, the transmission unexpectedly performed an extremely harsh downshift. The truck jerked forward violently as it shifted into a lower gear, making it difficult to slow the vehicle in a smooth and predictable manner. This occurred without warning and created a dangerous situation while approaching an intersection. A vehicle should decelerate in a controlled and predictable way. Instead, the sudden downshift upset the vehicle’s behavior and reduced my confidence in its safe operation. If this happens in heavy traffic, on wet roads, or near pedestrians, it could easily contribute to a crash. This is not simply an issue of comfort or drivability. It is a safety concern because it affects the driver’s ability to safely control the vehicle. My truck is equipped with Ford’s 10r80 transmission, which has been the subject of thousands of owner complaints describing harsh downshifts, delayed engagement, slipping, gear hunting, and other dangerous shifting behavior. Publicly available technical information also discusses failures involving the cdf clutch cylinder and sleeve, which can cause hydraulic pressure loss and unpredictable transmission operation. Based on my experience and the large number of similar reports from other owners, I believe this issue deserves a thorough safety investigation. Nhtsa should review warranty claims, dealer repair records, transmission replacements, technical service information, and consumer complaints to determine whether this transmission contains a safety-related defect that warrants a recall or other corrective action. Owners should not have to wait until a harsh downshift causes a serious collision before this issue is addressed. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this defect and require an effective repair to protect drivers, passengers, and everyone sharing the road.

9 Other Fuel System problem of the 2016 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 07/22/2026

I made an appointment for July 22,2026 with purvis Ford in fredericksburg to have the 28s26 recall for a transmission issue outlined in the recall. The process was estimated to be 4-6 hours. Purvis Ford called said the software upgrade was completed and I could get my truck. The truck would not shift out of 1st gear so I turned around and went back to the dealer and told the service advisor the situation. He told me I had to drive it for about two hundred miles to get it adapted to my driving habits. I drove it about 20 miles to my home and never shifted out of low gear. I called the service advisor and he said it needed to be towed back to the dealership for a second recall procedure. That was scheduled for the following Friday. On Thursday they called and said it needed a new transmission. The transmission was working fine when I delivered it to them. I did exact all what they told me to do. I’ve made several calls to Ford customer service with no help from them. Monday the service manager told me it was going to be test driven by a factory technician and they would get back to me. It’s now Wednesday and no word on what the results are. I called this morning and was supposed to get called back but as of this hour nothing. What course of action do I have at this point.

10 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 07/06/2026

Good morning :) this is my second complaint (1st #xxx) as my truck completely shut down as I was leaving the shop around 4:30pm. As I accelerated it shut down in the middle of the street blocking traffic. I was able to start it again, however it shut down a second time as soon I accelerated. Note: on xxx I did take my truck into Ford for this issue, however nothing could be done as there was no solution yet. (mileage 32899) thank you, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

11 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 06/30/2026

Truck has just started misfiring out of the blue, have had Ford dealerships look at it, have changed all 6 spark plugs and one ignition coil. The recall NHTSA 2025-366 may be the reason, it states there still is no remedy for this, recall was issued 1 year ago, July 2025. I need this remedy.

12 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 06/22/2026

While driving at a low speed, when pressing the accelerator, the auto initially didn't respond, but then accelerated sharply after a delay (when the accelerator wasn't engaged). The transmission seemed to abrubtly shift up by 2 or 3 gears without warning requiring me to immediately depress the brake to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of me.

13 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 06/20/2026

On June 20, 2026, my 2021 Ford F-150 5. 0l v8 suddenly lost engine power while I was driving on the freeway. The vehicle became disabled and had to be towed. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Ford dealership on June 23, 2026, where it remains. The dealership inspected the vehicle and confirmed that it is affected by Ford recall 25s75 / NHTSA recall 25v455 and advised that there is currently no available repair or remedy for the fuel pump issue. Ford customer service has also opened a case regarding the vehicle and provided a loaner vehicle, but no repair or estimated date for a remedy has been provided. The sudden loss of engine power while traveling on the freeway created a significant safety hazard. The vehicle could no longer maintain normal speed or acceleration, creating a risk of being struck by other vehicles traveling at highway speeds and a risk to surrounding motorists. Ford's recall identifies this fuel pump issue as capable of causing an engine stall while driving. The vehicle remains at the Ford dealership and is available for inspection upon request. To my knowledge, it has not been inspected by police or an insurance representative. There were no known warning symptoms prior to the failure; the vehicle was operating normally until it suddenly lost engine power on June 20, 2026. The failure is particularly concerning because the recalled component appears to have failed in the exact manner described in the recall, leaving the vehicle disabled while driving. Ford currently has no available remedy, and the vehicle remains unrepaired at the dealership.

14 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 06/17/2026

My check engine light has been on for a few months, I called sioux falls Ford to ask about it and they told me it's a minimum $200 out of pocket to even look at it. I asked what would happen if the check engine alert had to do with the active recall that is almost a year old that Ford has made no progress to fix, and they said I could file for reimbursement if they deemed the engine warning had to do with the recall. I took my truck to another garage and they found that the check engine light was indeed caused by the fuel pump running at 52psi - the recommended is 51-85psi for my truck. They said the new part would be in the following week to fix it for $1200. When I relayed all of this information to Ford national they told me they weren't able to help me and they were still investigating. They told me that they also weren't responsible for damage to my truck as my powertrain warranty expires next month. They refused to help in any way or offer a timeline of when I could expect a fix. Ford has left me stuck with no options to prevent a potential crash if this faulty piece makes my truck stall on a highway - I can either pay $1200+ for a part from another garage they are legally supposed to fix, or continue to drive a potentially unsafe vehicle based on Ford's negligence. Sioux falls Ford and Ford national, based on a year timeline with several calls and text chats with both, are refusing to comply with their legal responsibility to remedy this safety recall.

15 Other Fuel System problem of the 2016 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 06/16/2026

My 2016 Ford F-150 (VIN [xxx]) experienced an intermittent failure involving the transmission range sensor system. While driving, the vehicle displayed a check engine light and a “see service manual” message. The truck became noticeably underpowered. When shifted into reverse, the transmission engaged harshly and the prndl (gear position indicator) disappeared from the instrument cluster. The backup camera also became inoperative. After shutting the vehicle off, it would not restart. Electrical accessories and the instrument cluster remained functional, but the engine would not crank. After sitting for a period of time, the vehicle eventually restarted and the prndl display returned. The same failure occurred on three separate occasions within approximately 24 hours, including while arriving at a Ford dealership for service. The failure creates a safety concern because the vehicle can unexpectedly become unable to start, loses indication of the selected gear, and may experience transmission-related issues while being operated. The vehicle is currently unreliable for transportation and could leave occupants stranded. An independent repair facility scanned the vehicle and documented dtcs p0706 (transmission range sensor a circuit range/performance), p0707 (transmission range sensor a circuit low), p1702 (transmission range sensor circuit intermittent), and p1921 (transmission range signal). The vehicle is included in Ford safety recall 26s28 involving 2015-2017 F-150 vehicles equipped with the 6r80 transmission. A Ford dealership inspected the vehicle and advised that the concern appears related to the transmission range sensor/lead frame issue associated with the pending recall. However, the dealership advised that a repair cannot currently be submitted because the recall remedy has not yet been activated. The vehicle had approximately 124,000 miles at the time of failure. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

16 Other Fuel System problem of the 2025 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 06/15/2026

Description vehicle emissions control information veci label updatedescription on your vehicle, the integrated park module ipm may not properly engage the park pawl, preventing the vehicle from locking into park when park p is selected. 17 Other Fuel System problem of the 2024 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 06/11/2026

While traveling at cruising speed (70 mph) on interstate 95 south, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic electrical and mechanical failure, resulting in an immediate engine stall. The vehicle lost all propulsion. Due to the sudden loss of power, the vehicle could not safely clear the active lanes of traffic, coasting to a stop near an exit ramp and dangerously blocking highway traffic. Upon attempting to restart the vehicle to move it out of harm's way, the vehicle emitted a rapid clicking noise and again stalled out. Because this vehicle utilizes an electronic shift-by-wire system, the total power failure permanently locked the transmission into "park. " the vehicle could not be shifted into "neutral" or "drive" to be pushed safely off the road. This total vehicle failure created an immediate, life-threatening hazard for the occupants and surrounding motorists on a high-speed interstate, requiring emergency police intervention to manage traffic until a flatbed tow truck arrived.

19 Other Fuel System problem of the 2022 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 05/15/2026

The recall is 10 months old and no remedy offered. Every time I get behind tge wheel I'm risking an injury or death of myself or someone else. I can't sell my vehicle because it would put the next owner at risk. Do I have to wait until there's an injury or death to have something done about this?.

20 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 05/13/2026

This is a continuation/escalation of NHTSA complaint 11689917. My 2021 Ford F-150 has experienced repeated fuel-system/electrical fuel-pump failures. The vehicle previously stalled and later cranked but would not start, returning code p0627 “fuel pump a control circuit / open. ” the in-tank fuel pump was replaced at owner expense for approximately $1,400 at an independent service center in September of 2025, but the repair did not permanently resolve the issue. The vehicle has now again lost fuel pressure/propulsion while traveling approximately 50 mph on a two-lane highway in a similar manner to prior failures. I was able to get the vehicle off the roadway, and it required towing back to my residence. This is approximately the fourth or fifth fuel-related failure, including stalls at low speed and non-start conditions related to fuel in parking lots. The symptoms appear consistent with Ford/NHTSA recall 25v455 / Ford recall 25s75, but my VIN was not included in the affected group. I am concerned that the recall population may be too narrow or that the remedy does not address the full defect pattern.

21 Other Fuel System problem of the 2023 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 05/13/2026

I have a 2023 f150 powerboost. I slowed down to a yielding sign to turn right onto the state highway. The engine was in electric mode, I went to push the acceleration pedal and nothing happened. The truck would not accelerate for 4-5 seconds. I then put the accelerator pedal to the floor and it finally engaged and the truck flew. I’ve had it happen once before but for only a second so I thought nothing of it. It was a scary experience as I could have been hit if another drive wasn’t paying attention. I’m scared to drive it now, and have made an appointment with the local Ford dealership to diagnose. No engines lights are on. Only happens when stopping briefly.

24 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 04/27/2026

Brought f150 in for scheduled service - oil change. Also asked for inspection of a problem with the fuel door hatch that was causing "refuel error" messages on the instrument panel and several grinding noises every time the fuel release button was pressed. Note that I have an active extended Ford premiumcare warranty. Dealership diagnosis was that the fuel door solenoid was bad, verified that the gears could be heard grinding with this part. However, there is no separate motor part, therefore the entire fuel door assembly must be replaced. Ford warranty system does not cover this part because it is considered "body and structural". I called Ford protect to discuss this, and explained the motor defect and problem, that this has nothing at all to do with wear & tear or body damage. They explained that in this case, the dealership should call and get the part pre-authorized with the justification. Seelye Ford called and tried to do this on 28 April 2026, but ultimately was still denied by Ford. The attached service report from seelye describes the technician findings and confirms the bad solenoid and audible gear grinding sound coming from the fuel door assembly - and that the entire assembly must be replaced. As this is related to the fuel system and has a defective motor, this is an example a safety defect that should not only be repaired on this vehicle, but for other vehicles with similar problems. Note that the dealership also pointed out that Ford appears to have created this part layout with the intent of having the motor be a separate part, but ultimately did not offer that option, only a full housing replacement, which is excluded because it is mostly made of plastic and metal, which is considered to be structural in nature, despite being a part of the fuel system that has active motor buttons and instrumentation sensors for driver interaction.

25 Other Fuel System problem of the 2025 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 04/21/2026

My wife was parking our f150 in a parking lot with landscaped dividers I was a passenger. The vehicle was in one foot driving mode. As she approached the curb going 1 to 3 mph, she moved her foot from the accelerator to the brake. As soon as she left the accelerator the vehicle rocketed off. She put her foot down on the brake, but the power of the vehicle was so great and so fast the vehicle went over the curb and a 4 inch landscaping tree. Luckily we were facing a drive on the other side and not a car. The vehicle stopped in the drive. The surge possibly lasted 1-2 seconds, but that was enough to lose complete control. If we were facing another car we would have landed on top of it. We were not injured and no pedestrians were in the vicinity. The body shop and the Ford dealership were unable to tell us what occurred. Ford needs to access the edr module. Online research shows this event has happened to other owners.

26 Other Fuel System problem of the 2023 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 04/17/2026

Hello, my range should be 320 mph on my f150 lightning. It is 226 fully charged was lower the last charge. This effects safety, time and money wheh traveling. I took it to the dealer and they said that there is nothing they can do. That I should run the range down to zero miles and that should reset the range. That didnt work. I have had several propulsion proplems. So many that I won a lemon law suit. According to the NHTSA the range loss is tied to the systematic battery or drivetrain defect and Ford refuses to honor my warranty and my extended warranty or address a potiential safety hazzard.

27 Other Fuel System problem of the 2022 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 04/09/2026

I just started the truck, put it in gear, and began driving slowly through the parking lot. The gas pedal was unresponsive—even when pressed all the way to the floor, the truck would not accelerate or move. This has happened multiple times, both while rolling slowly and sometimes from a complete stop. It occurs intermittently.

28 Other Fuel System problem of the 2013 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 04/09/2026

Bought that as used at low milage with good service history indicated with pcm twice made me believe to trust as reliability and regular check ups. Carfax is not really honest, as well as I learned that powertrain itself has nothing to mechanism but actually programing meaning actual pcm itself has troubleshoots and not at its stability. It caused no speed on dash board sometimes even though got served but aftermath it gets more worse. I experienced collapsed in middle of high speed traffic to full stop. But the odd that mpg got great better than only during trouble times like first time ever seen over 15 mpg that reached between 16. 4 to 18. 7 for over a week. Now backward to 14 mpg. On the trouble occurances were r080 downshift to first gear notch caused by faulty outpost shift speed loss sensor. Also code of 19s 07 needs reprogram the powertrain control module has been common and I don't believe wiring is the issue thus the sensor is but reprogram itself is factor although it caused various issue like noise installing from park notch to drive notch, cannot increase or stay constant stead on speed, sometimes caused vibration that had no equality the pcm does not make correct specific of the fault. I checked with auto zone to do diagnosis code on mine was much unspecfic and inaccurate fact in which was not fact thus the manufacturer fails to program the correct troubleshoots. Pcm is very bad. I had to stay under 65 mph either stay at 60 mph sometimes and if I increase the truck has been feeling alike unstead and maybe could get collapsed for a weeks far.

29 Other Fuel System problem of the 2024 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 04/03/2026

Dash said look for safe place to pull over. When turned engine off, it would not start again. Had to wait hours to get it towed to dealership. Been there over 5 weeks and they still don't know what's wrong but suspect hybrid battery problem. Only about 21k miles and 18 mo old. No loaner provided.

30 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 03/15/2026

While driving my 2021 Ford F-150, the vehicle suddenly began shaking, lost power, and shut off completely while in motion. This created a dangerous situation as I was left without acceleration while driving. Prior to the failure, there were no major issues with the vehicle. After the engine shut off, a battery warning appeared, but the battery had been in good condition and less than a year old. The vehicle would not restart and had to be towed to a Ford dealership, where it has remained for over two weeks. Independent mechanics and the dealership have both indicated the issue is related to the fuel system. I later discovered this matches an active recall for the low-pressure fuel pump. Despite this, I was informed there is currently no remedy available for the recall. The vehicle is still at the dealership and has not been repaired. I have not been provided with a loaner or rental vehicle and have been left without transportation for work or to care for my children. I have also been asked to pay out of pocket for towing and battery replacement, even though the failure appears to be related to a known recall issue.

31 Other Fuel System problem of the 2018 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 03/13/2026

Manufacturer recall #24e12 (pcm software update) triggered a po430:00-ed code (catalyst system efficiency below threshold - bank 2) because the new software more strictly monitors the catalytic converter, causing it to detect previously ignored degradation. This reprogram scamming program makes community bothered by paying parts replacements more than 2k, even vehicle was fine before the recall. This needs resolved with free fixed and free catalytic replacement. This is not right to announce a recall with unfinished repair issues left. This needs action. Thanks, so mote it be!.

32 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 03/08/2026

There is no fix or remedy available for this recalled fuel problem. The recall and fuel pump replacement isn't available and is taking too long. There is hesitation due to this issue.

33 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 03/07/2026

Several times, the vehicle has failed to accelerate or respond to accellerator pedal input for several seconds. It seems to happen when switching from electric to hybrid modes, and when shifting between lower gears simultaneously. Once the switch to hybrid occurs the engine will rev high with some acceleration even if the accelerator pedal is no longer being pressed. This acceleration has happened when I had my foot over the brake pedal in anticipation of pulling over to stop since the truck would not accelerate. There are no warning lights or messages that appear on the vehicle. It is dangerous because it seems to happen when trying to accelerate from a lower speed. If it happens when trying to change lanes in stop and go traffic or while pulling into traffic other cars would have to brake hard to avoid hitting our vehicle that has experienced stalled acceleration. It is also dangerous because once the transition happens there is brief uncommanded acceleration.

34 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 03/06/2026

I am reporting a serious safety issue with my 2021 Ford F-150. This truck has already been subject to multiple recalls, yet the problems have continued. On several occasions while driving, the truck has suddenly shut off without warning, causing a complete loss of power while the vehicle is in motion. This has happened while my family and I were in the vehicle and has nearly resulted in a serious crash. Losing power in traffic without warning creates an extremely dangerous situation and has put my family’s lives at risk. A vehicle shutting off while being driven is a major safety hazard. Despite multiple visits for service and ongoing recall issues, the problem has not been resolved, and the truck continues to fail in a way that could easily lead to a catastrophic accident.

35 Other Fuel System problem of the 2021 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 02/20/2026

The truck’s fuel system can cut out under acceleration. This is very dangerous. Various times it has nearly stalled out under acceleration while trying to merge. The worst time was driving up a bridge, the truck began to hesitate nearly causing a crash. Every time it signals cylinder misfire, but that whole system has been replaced. Very dangerous, very disappointing.
