The fuel pump fuse (fuse 27) overheats and burns out resulting in the entire truck shutting off at speeds. This happened to me at 65 mph on a highway leaving me with no engine at that speed.

Engine would crank but not start. The wrench emblem appeared on my instrument panel computer. The Ford dealer said it was the fuse for the fuel pump had actually gotten hot and melted. It seem this is a very common problem with this vehicle. It was sitting in my garage, and would not start.
The fuel pump on the 2015. F150 2. 7 l ecoboost is faulty. Ford has recalled all other vehicles with this engine except the f150 model. Why? 2 fuel pumps have gone bad on my f150. After the 3 fuel pump was put in Ford also had to replace the pcm so the fuel pump would work. My vehicle was being driven in traffic when the pump failed causing complete loss of power.

Vehicle power suddenly shutdown while driving down the freeway. After pulling to the side of the road, engine would only idle. Engine would not rev up to a higher rpms. Vehicle required towing to a repair center. The following 2 issues were found: 1. Throttle body needed replaced. 2. Fuel pump electrical circuit was heat damaged. The repair center told me they are starting to see more of these type of issues on these vehicles. The repair center moved this circuit away from the heat source causing the damage. This appears to be a design issue which could pose a safety problem. A recall should be issued for this problem.
The fuel management system blew the fuse. I looked online and saw where many people have had this happen and Ford has a service advisory issued for this problem but charge the owner with making the correction to the defective wiring. They do not simply replace the Mini 10 amp fuse but instead replace a part of the wiring and relocate it to a standard 20 amp fuse. When I explained my concern about engineering a fuel management system for a 10 amp rating and switching it to the 20 amp which could allow other parts of the system to overload he basically told me that Ford had decided this was how they would fix the problem but now I have the concern other components of the system failing and sure enough it was less than two weeks later the fuel pump driver module failed causing my vehicle to stop running. The service manager also told me I was lucky as he had seen total melt downs of fuse panels from this defect. This has cost me $805 in repairs due to a faulty wiring design. The vehicle was stationary at the time, once in a parking lot and once in my driveway.
Fuel pump control module fuse burned out (fuse #27) and truck stopped running while on freeway without any warning.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated the vehicle could not be started. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was towed family Ford located 30 NJ-183, netcong, NJ where it was diagnosed that the fuse that connects to the fuel pump failed and the wiring would need to be rewired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue however no further assistance was offered and the contact was transferred to the NHTSA. The failure mileage was 38000. Kh.
3 times this has happened, 1st time I had just filled up went to pull off and proceeded to get on highway, truck started to run rough and had no throttle response and wrench light came on. Pulled off road, turned off, after a few minutes restarted truck and no problems the rest of the day. The 2nd time I was getting ready to get on the interstate and truck did the same thing started running rough, no throttle response and wrench light came on again. Pulled on shoulder and shut vehicle off, restarted after a few minutes again after the restart no problems ( no check engine light either time). Then on the same evening it did it again and in traffic this time and with no where to pull over. Ford knows about the problem, every Ford forum talks about the problem especially when it comes to the ecoboost. Someone is going to get killed with this problem. Took vehicle to dealer and there was a TSB to relocate the fuel pump driver fuse because they say it gets hot and shorts out( if that's the case it shouldn't do it right after initial start up). Again Ford is playing with people's lives; all they care about is the dollars. .

Ive had the same problem now twice in a row with the fuel pump 20a fuel in the fuse box under the hood getting hot and melting then blowing the fuse. This fuse if it hadn't blown would have caught the fuse box on fire. Ford makes a kit to bypass the tiny fuse to relicate it to a larger fuse in an open spot. There are multiple others in numerous forums who state they have had the same problem. Ford has never issued a recall for this issue that can turn bad if the fuse does not pop.

I had my truck towed to auto fair Ford and had to have the fuel pump replaced with $100 extended warranty and the car is a year old. After fixing it they were having issues with it not starting and called Ford to trouble shoot the issue. Today 3/2/18 they called to say a mouse or rodent chewed through the wiring. I have lived I'm my home since 1999 and many cars in the drive way this has never happened before. My brother said the wiring is soy based. I called liberty mutual insurance and comprehensive has a $500 deductible. They will look at the truck 3/5/18 at auto fair Ford in manchester nh. I now have to pay$600 to a vehicle I have owned less then 5 months to auto fair Ford. Seems odd this is happing on a new vehicle.

I have several occasion for the past couple of years of my f150 not starting when turning the key on. I have taken it to the Ford dealership several times but they couldn't determine the problem. I've had several occasion of the low oil pressure light turn on and the vehicle has stalled. Just recently I was making a right turn and at a small angle and the truck completely stalled out while driving. I had to coast to a stop without any power steering until it finally stopped. I tried to crank it over but it wouldn't start. After about 5 minutes it finally started without issue. I've had it stall twice while I lost total control of my truck and it is extremely dangerous. I had to tow it to my dealership again today. I think I may have finally found the issue which may point to a faulty 20amp fuel pump fuse. I found some articles pointing to fuse 27 and sure enough it was burnt on one side. I am completely shocked that Ford is aware of this issue and not issuing a mandatory recall until all these trucks are fixed. Had this been on the freeway it could have been a complete failure of the vehicle which may have caused a serious or life threatening accident. Please force a recall.

Fuel pump control module failure.
Ford F-150 will not start intermittently. The engine cranks but will not start. The issue has been identified with fuse #27 over heating but not blowing. Fuse #27 is the fuse for the fuel pump diver module. The engine has not died on me while in motion though there are multiple other instances of individuals who have had their vehicle die on them. . Fuel pump fuse melted and I was doing some online research to try to find out the cost of part and repair, and notice a lot of Ford owners having the exact same issue with the 2013 Ford F-150.
I've had my truck for just under 2 years and 42,000 and the fuel pump, relay and modular went out. Ford is not covering this under warranty. One of these items is on back order. So I feel that this maybe a faulty part. Is there anything you can do to look into this. It is a major safety issue. My car just stalled in a parking lot. What if I was on a highway I could have gotten rear ended and killed. Please hold Ford responsible for this issue. I also dont want to be held responsible for paying for this either.
While driving vehicle it stalled in middle of street in traffic. It would not restart. Pushed truck to side of road. Had truck towed to dealership. Has bad fuel pump driver module and fuel pump not working properly. Truck has 42,000 miles on it. Ford has already recalled 91,000 vehicles with this issue but not include the F-150.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was at stand still on the outside of his residence, when the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to independent mechanic, where he was informed needing to replaced the fuel pump. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated he continue to experience the failure and has the repairs done on 2 different occasion. The vehicle was taken to local dealer five star Ford Lincoln located at 711 e wishkah st, aberdeen, wa 98520, (360) 533-3673, where it was diagnosed with a needing a fuse to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The manufacturer has been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 77,000. Dp.
Vehicle was moving, was parking in my driveway when it stalled and wouldn't start. Vehicle towed to mullinax Ford, new smyrna beach, florida. Invoice # 191885. The wire from the fuel pump/relay overheated and burned the wire and the fuse causing the vehicle to stop. Fors is aware of this problem and even have a relocate kit el3z 14293 a to correct the problem. This should be a recall not a repair paid for by the customer. There is obviously a defect in the design and they even have a kit to correct.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 50 mph, the steering wheel seized and the power steering warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle then lost power. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump relay box failed and caused the fuel pump to burn. The mechanic stated that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called cavalier Ford Lincoln greenbrier (1515 s military hwy, chesapeake, va 23320, phone: 757) 424-1111) and was informed that he would be responsible for the diagnostic and repair fees. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that they knew about the failure and, in order for the vehicle to be repaired, there would be a fee. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000. The VIN was not available.
Truck would turn over but not start , no fuel was making it to spark as fuse for fuel pump had melted into fuel box and damaged it. This is a faulty setup and needs to be address before someones life is taken or injured badly.
Fuel pump malfunctions causing truck to dangerously stall out at highway speeds.
Engine cranks but does not start one morning. Found fried fuel pump fuse was the issue. Not a blown fuse. A fried fuse. Blackened and charred.
Engine was running rough on the freeway. When I exited, the engine stopped running. I had to have it towed to the garage. The mechanic diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump driver control unit. He said it is a common problem with the f150 trucks. My opinion is this is a safety problem and the driver module was damaged due to corrosion.
Intermittent problem with truck not starting. Took truck to Ford dealer and they said they will need to installl a fuel pump fuse relocation kit. I asked the reason why and was told that this fuse will continue to short out until the kit was installed. Truck is three years old and fuse location or some problem exists that will shut down fuel pump. No recall and no warranty? truck would not start for me about 10 to 15 different times. I'm glad the fuse did not short out while driving. No damage other then my time and $330. 00 for diagnostic and repair "kit" from Ford.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle did not start and was not operable. Prior to the failure, the vehicle experienced a loss of power. The vehicle was towed to len stoler Ford (11275 reisterstown rd, owings mills, MD) where it was diagnosed that the fuse that runs through the fuel pump was defective due to the fuel wiring harness overheating. A new wire needed to be relocated to another fuse box. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 40,372.
My truck would lose power at times then would not start. Dealer advised the fuse to the fuel relay pump was burned and needed to be bypassed to a larger fuse because the fuse installed by the manufacture is too small. This repair cost me $411. Dealer advised this was a defect from manufacture and was common in the 2012 year model. I researched the issue and located many complaints about vehicles losing power on the highways and almost involved in collisions due to the fuel pump problem. I'm sure there are many complaints and accidents that can be attributed to the defect which causes fuel disruption.

My vehicle simply stalled without warning while I was traveling on the highway, twice. After a small cool down period, the vehicle started up again and seemed fine till a few days later when it happened again on the highway. According to Ford, this is a very common problem with a fuse that controls the fuel pump. It overheats and fails causing the fuel pump to stop working. They also have a $20 kit to fix the problem because it is so common. Why this is not a recall is beyond me. My wife and I could have been seriously hurt or worse.

On a trip, September 20th going to the smoky mountains, our 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck suddenly lost power. We were on mile marker 295 eastbound on interstate 40, in the left side passing lane going about 55 mph up a hill. The engine stopped with no warning. The dash screen flashed a picture of a wrench and then said "low oil pressure. " the oil pressure gauge showed no pressure. I thought the engine had blown. As I tried to navigate to the right side of the road, while on a hill, many semi-trucks slammed on their brakes trying to avoid my truck pulling a 5th wheel trailer. We miraculously avoided a possible major accident. Ultimately we learned it was a small $0. 50, number 27, 20 amp fuse to the fuel pump that caused the engine to stop. We were stuck on the side of the road for 2 hours until we could get a tow truck for both our truck and 5th wheel. Ford is aware of fuse 27 (for fuel pump) frequently melting. They even have a relocation kit to move the fuse when it melts due to overheating because of its location. In our case this nearly caused an accident involving semi trucks.
2004 Ford f150 started up fine, drove it for 10 minutes, slowed down and it stalled in the middle of an intersection. Would not start back up, called a tow truck to get the truck home. Next day, started up and did the same thing, stalled out. The fuel pump driver module is causing this, along with a lot of other Ford f150's. This is a safety issue! I had my child in the truck when it stalled in the middle of an intersection. The fpdm gets corroded due to the bad positioning of the part.

My truck cranks but won't start. The fuse to the fuel pump relay was blown. I understand this is a problem with many truck owners and Ford is offering a bypass kit for this system for $400-$500. Shouldn't this be a recall if they're having to install a bypass kit?.
Fuse #27 for the fuel pump is burning up on one side. Engine stalls intermittently. Will not restart for a while after.
Fuel pump fuse melted causing truck to lose power while on freeway. Very dangerous.
