Drivers side air bag cover split open exposing the airbag. This was not the result of a collision. Appears to be a faulty cover.

Water is getting in the truck, wetting and staining the driver side airbag, and coming out of the driver side grab handle, running down the electrical instrument panel. This is most apparent when the vehicle is parked on an incline during a rain storm, with the front of the vehicle lower than the back.

Bought the truck, found out the truck had been wrecked and we were never informed. We went to have the oil changed and was told about the recalls. The man told me that someone had replaced the driver side airbag, but instead of bolting it back in, the airbag was riveted back in. After being told about the airbag, we contacted the place where we bought the truck and was told the guy that sold us the truck was unavailable and that he would call us back. To this day we haven't heard back from them.

5/25/2018 - head on collision. I was a passenger. Our vehicle going 25 mph uphill. Striking vehicle going est 60+ mph coming down hill collided head on with us. No fatalities but 3 injured. Seat belts locked correctly. Drivers side airbag deployed and the passenger (my side) airbag did not. Driver of the vehicle striking us heavily inebriated. One of the firemen, when opening passenger door, commented about plastic pieces in the airbag area.

Unknown if takata recall or other air bag issue. I am investigating officer not vehicle owner. Observed that post moving 2 car intersection crash and airbag deployment, b-pillar started on fire, melting seat belt, most of b-pillar and parts of curtain and side airbags. Fire put itself out. Owner was not injured but concerned. Heat appeared to have melted seat belt through, air bags were burnt. Case#m18-1676.

This vehicle belongs to osceola county, FL (company vehicle). The car was in motion at a speed of 25mph in a city street (st. Cloud,FL). I was driving the car. A front collision accident occurred. The driver side air bag deployed. The seat belt retracted in a hard manner. Due to this accident my left shoulder/shoulder blade & collar bone were injured. When awaken from surgery was told 4 inches of clavical removed from heart and right lung.

Takata recall---my driver side air bag deployed around oct of 2015. I started the vehicle in a parking lot, put my seat belt on, put the transmission in reverse and the bag exploded before even letting off the brake. It startled me beyond belief, the horn would not shut off, the cloud of ignition was all over me and filled the cab, and the ignitor bruised my hand. I called Ford and they said it was a recall and I had it towed to leif johnson Ford in austin TX. The vehicle sat in their lot for one week as the dealer and myself went back and forth with Ford hq in michigan. I finally ended picking up the truck because I need it for work. Ford said they sent me recall notices in the mail. . . I never received any. They would not pay for repairs or new airbags. Had I been driving on a road or highway I could have easily crashed. I can't believe they can get away with this.

This is in reguards to Ford's 2006 f150 driver side air bag recall. Ford is refusing to give the dealerships the key to unlock the anti theft box that the air bag is in to do the safety recall. They instruct the service team to "use a dremel tool". This is not acceptable. Service team is "not comfortable" using a dremel to fix this. Any thing done like this to this vehicle will void any and all warranties!!!! safety recall has not been done on this vehicle.

I own a 2004 Ford F-150 truck. 3 weeks ago, I received a recall notice #11s18 from Ford motor CO,explaining that a defect with the wiring harness could cause the driver's side airbag to spontaneous inflate while driving. I called the dealer, sheehy Ford of warrenton, va. To schedule service to address the hazard, but they said Ford "had underestimated demand on the recall" and they didn't have "the neccessary parts" to fix my vehicle, and to call back "in a couple of days. " that's been their response now for 3 weeks. The letter from Ford stresses the potential danger of my vehicle's defect, but the dealer is suggesting Ford sent out letters and alerted people to the problem without producing enough replacement parts to fix it. The situation is not being handled properly. 3 weeks after receiving a recall letter, my dealer has yet to act, and nothing has been done to address the problem.

I took my car to the dealership randall noe in terrell texas on oct 24, 2009 and they told me they would run some tests and let me know whether they would repair it or not and it has been three weeks and they still have not made up their minds whether they are going to fix it or not. I have been without a vehicle for almost 3 weeks now and they can't make up their mind whether they want to fix it or not. I am tired of being jerked around and not being told what will be done. They took the steering wheel apart because they said they could tell what made it deploy but after doing that now they say they still don't know why it deployed. They told me I could come pick it up and drive around with no airbag until they make a decision.
