Clutch Pedal/linkage problems of the 2000 Ford F-250

Four problems related to clutch pedal/linkage have been reported for the 2000 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Clutch Pedal/linkage problem

2000 Ford f250. Consumer writes in regards to defective clutch pedal. The consumer stated the connection between the clutch pedal and the linkage failed at least 4 times.

2 Clutch Pedal/linkage problem

Failure Date: 06/04/2004

Had a throw out bearing fork break into two pieces on my 2000 f250 Ford pick up. Clutch became totally inoperative and the truck had to be towed. Truck had 52,000 miles on it at the time of the failure. On examination the t. O. Bearing fork appears to have been cracked since new.

3 Clutch Pedal/linkage problem

Failure Date: 04/20/2004

While driving at 50 mph clutch did not disengage to change gears. Vehicle was taken to a dealer. The dealer determined that the housing for one of the springs in the clutch pad broke between the sprind and outer housing.

4 Clutch Pedal/linkage problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2001

Hydraulic clutch has failed two times while traveling less than 5 mph. Dealership has replaced clutch disc assembly in an attempt to remedy problem. Please provide any additional information / documentation.
