The airbag light is on as the spring in the steering column has become contaminated which caused audible cracking sounds in steering column, degrading steering and the horn not to function.

Air bag clock spring in steering wheel has broken, air bag light is on and no functions on the steering work . . . Heated, volume control buttons, horn etc will not work.

This vehicle was delivered in July 2022. Shortly after receiving it the steering controls and horn were not always working. I then noticed a clicking sound in the steering wheel. In sept 2022 my local Ford dealer said they replaced the clock spring, but two days to a week after the replacement, the same issue started again. A Ford technician is going to look at this again on Friday 2/3/23.

Airbag failed to deploy. This is a fleet vehicle. On 02/12/2022 this vehicle was traveling 60 mph when an oncoming truck turned across in front of the driver. The vehicles collided on this vehicles front driver side and drivers side. The other vehicles airbags did deploy.

Was t-boned in the passenger side of the truck which changed my direction of travel resulting in hitting a tree head on. Neither frontal air bags deployed. The frontal impact was hard enough to push the tree 18 to 20 inches into the engine compartment bending the frame where the front bumper was attached. The accident resulted in a fatality. I'm just confused why neither air bag deployed. I have had this truck since it was new so I know it's history. There was not any warnings lights on, no air bag warning lights, no modifications were ever done to the truck. All stock. There was never any indication that the air bags were not operating normal. So why did they malfunction?.

The restraint control module (rcm) is bad and needs to be replaced. There are recalls for this same part on other Ford vehicles but not on mine. Maybe there should be if there are numerous other issues with the same type of vehicles.

The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for a diagnostic. The vehicle was towed to a private residence. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. Started my truck to let it warm up before I took it in to town. Went inside for around 150 min, come outside and I seen smoke coming from my doors and as soon as I opened it feom the passenger door it was full of smoke and I seen a fire on my driver side feint seat. It completely burnt my truck and another f250 the was parked next to it.

I was driving down fm 624 when I came up to an 18 wheeler that was coming to a stop. I stepped on the brake pedal and nothing happened, the pedal was solid like I had brakes but the truck didn't respond. I hit the back of the semi at about 40mph and tore the front end off my truck and the airbags didn't go off. Ford said that there was a traction control code at the time of the accident but that did not affect the stopping and even thou the front bumper moved during the impact it didn't take a direct hit so that's why the airbag didn't go off. There is enough damage to my truck that everything from the windshield forward needs to be replaced including the front bumper. The state trooper who worked the accident got in my truck and stepped on the brakes (with the truck off) and said there is nothing wrong with my truck, but also he could not tell me the difference between power brakes and a hydro-boost brake system. Informed him that he needs to get some schooling before he can tell if the hydro-boost system on my truck is good or not. . . .

I was involved in an accident driving my 04 Ford f250 diesel pulling a 25 ft fifth wheel. A car pulled out in front of me on the highway. I swerved to try to miss, but hit the cars left front end. We went off the road, down the ditch, up the ditch and into a grove of trees. Hit a tree right in the middle of the bumper. Both my wife's and my eyeglasses flew off. My wife suffered a severe chest bruise from the seat belt. My concern and question why didn't the air bags deploy? I was traveling about 55mph and would guess about 40mph when we hit the ditch. Both the truck and camper were totaled. The camper ended up flipped over on it's side.
