Ford F-250 owners have reported 6 problems related to front suspension coil spring (under the suspension category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My 2014 Ford f250 platinum diesel has exhibited death wobble on multiple occasions. I have experienced the issue at different speeds on the highway anywhere from 50 to 70 mph after hitting small bumps in the road. I have taken the truck to blaise alexander Ford on multiple occasions to address the issue. The first time they replaced steering stabilizer and it was worse after I got the truck back, the second time they replaced the tie rods and gave it a front brake job, got the truck back and it was even worse, the third time they replaced the steering gear box. Still no effect on the death wobble issue. I then drove the truck with their mechanic who told me it could be the shocks or the tires or maybe a spring or coil is broken. The truck is unsafe and Ford needs to figure out how to fix it. The truck only has 70,000 miles on it.

2006 Ford 250 super crew, severe front end vibration after hitting small potholes or road transitions at highway speed. Occurs frequently while driving on the interstate and causes the loss of control of the vehicle. I have replaced the front shocks, stabilizer shock, and the coil springs. Ford has issued a letter to owners stating to check the tire pressure and that as long as factory tire sizes are adhered to and proper pressure maintained there is no problem. If this problem is not corrected it will eventually cause deaths. I have the old coil springs if they are needed for the investigation. There are several blog sites on the internet that discuss this issue and many owners are experiencing the same issue with a wide range of year models in question and not limited to the 2006 year.

'08 Ford f250. Severe front end shimmy. Ford said that this is related to tire pressure. Ii have owned 5 f250's and did not experience this until Ford went to coil spring/trailing arm front suspension. Tire pressure on a truck is relative to the load carried. My dealer just quoted the company line and did nothing. The company did send out a notice concerning the problem, so obviously they are aware of it. I believe this is a design flaw that warrants your attention. The various forums on line with Ford truck owners cites this again and again. When the shimmy happens it is difficult to control the truck, particularly in a curve. If I put company recommended pressure of 80psi in my tires in an empty truck, it would be a safety hazard related to traction and also greatly reduce tire mileage. It appears to me that Ford changed the front suspension design with no long term research and development and therefore is marketing a unsafe and defective product. I respectively request you look into this matter and anything you can do will be sincerely appreciated.

06 Ford F-250 sd front suspension shimmy. Tire pressure checked often shimmy still persists. No bump or dip needed seems as though most times in a slight turn traveling at 40 to 60 mph shimmy is there. I've tried dual shock steering stabilizers installed new casters replaced shocks and coils nothing seems to work.
There is a squealing noise coming from the front end in the suspension. Dealership knows about the problem & referred owner to the hotline.
