The rear u-joints on my 2008 Ford superduty f250 truck has been replaced twice in less than 50,000 miles, once at 24,000 miles and again at 47,000 miles. Ford has fixed the problem both time at no charge. But has not tried to determine the cause for this problem to prevent it from happening again at a increased rate. Truck now has 51,652 miles on it.

: the contact stated while traveling 65 mph, a vibration was felt from the steering wheel along with the front and rear of the vehicle. The service dealer and manufacturer replaced the entire front end, all axles, rotors, ring and pinion and wheel hubs, but the vibration continued. The manufacturer had an engineer test the vehicle and found the vibration to be within operating standards. The fuel light illuminated, the center console squeaked, the lower ball joints were replaced. Updated 11/21/06.

While coming off a ramp onto freeway at 30 mph vehicle completely shut down, causing loss of power brakes and steering control. After gaining control of the vehicle , vehicle restarted, but driveline would not engage. Cause has not been determined. No collision or injuries occurred. Please give any further details.

Automatic transmission was making a noise while driving. Vehicle was taken to the dealer,who replaced the driveline. 1200 miles later, transmission had to be replaced again.
