4 Power Train problem of the 2024 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 08/12/2025

Slight vibration at highway speed accompanied by faint grinding noise. Ford installed front auto locker to only one front wheel and a dummy full time locker to right front wheel in non trimmer 2024 f250 and f350s. They know the problem because they issued a TSB 52423 but do not contact truck owners of issue. Having only one locker makes the right side front axel spin at highway speeds and cause noise, vibration and unequal drag on the two front wheels causing the vehicle to drift to the right. Ford knows this, as evident by them going back to two locking auto hubs on 2025 models. My bigger concern is what happens in 100k k miles when the front differential being warn out by the highway speeds fails and locks up the front differential and suddenly locks the front right wheel and potentially sends the 7000 lb vehicle in an uncontrollable right turn. I am currently working with walker Ford to correct this issue with my truck. In my opion, this is a huge safety issue because Ford is aware of this problem but is not notifying owners of the issue with an official recall. Needed fix, replace right dummy locker hub with functional hub like the left side ( part number hc3z3b396a $260), instal replacement volume line (part number hc3z3c124b $51) if said truck does not already have one, and finally install 6 in vacume line (part number hc323c125c $6) to the front right hub. In my opion, Ford should be held fully liable for the human safety implications down the road if they continue to ignore this proplem.

5 Power Train problem of the 2020 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 08/07/2025

My 2020 Ford F-250 king ranch with a 6. 7l v8 turbo diesel engine experienced severe engine failure while I was driving. The engine was completely destroyed and had to be replaced. My warranty company paid to install a new engine into the truck, but did not pay to have the remaining components fixed that were directly damaged by the engine failure. There was severe damage done to the fuel pump, def system, and wiring harnesses that caused the truck to be permanently into a mode called "limp mode" which electronically governs the truck to 50 mph. There was and still is an unresolved recall on the truck. The recall is as follows: #24s78 powertrain control module software update biodiesel deposit accumulation. The NHTSA number NHTSA: #24v957. There were absolutely zero (0) warning signs that alerted me that this was an issue before the engine failed. No alerts or warning lamps were illuminated on the truck before it failed. All I got was a letter in the mail stating that the engine could fail due to this components and that there is no known solution to fixing the problem. This issue caused my engine to fail while I was driving to work. There are issues with the truck still that were directly caused by this issue that the warranty will not cover including this recalled component that has no available solution. I have a 2 month old son and a wife that rely on me having this truck. I have risked the safety of my family, and others on the roads, unknowingly by operating this truck on the roads. I am asking that Ford motor company be held liable for all damages to my truck, and the repurchase of the truck for full price. This is unacceptable from a company as big as Ford motor company.

15 Power Train problem of the 2017 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 05/27/2025

I have a 2017 f250 super duty. It downshifts from 5th to 4th so hard that it has locked the rear tires up for a brief second. Twice I have had cars behind me swerve. I spoke with my local dealership and they informed me that this is a common issue with these trucks normally caused by the transmission drum, valve body and/or solenoids. There were no warnings before this started and it's worse when the transmission is cold. As the transmission gets hotter the issue seems to get better but will suddenly hard downshift without warning.

17 Power Train problem of the 2024 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 05/06/2025

I purchased my new 2024 Ford f250 on [xxx] with less than 30 miles on the odometer. It includes a 10-speed automatic transmission. I have noticed erratic up shifting and down shifting of the transmission. The problem started at approximately 700 miles on the vehicle. Additionally I have noticed that after initial starting the vehicle, when placed into drive or reverse, the transmission appears to slam into gear as noticed by a large jerk and loud sound. The vehicle continues to sound like there is a mismatch between the engine revving up and transmission lagging behind for some time, or as if the transmission is slipping gears. The new vehicle was taken into the dealership on 6/9/2025 at 7:00am and work was reportedly completed and vehicle ready for pickup on [xxx]. I was informed that the service technician performed a break-in procedure and that everything was okay. Within 30 minutes of picking up the vehicle the same problem started reoccurring. I called my service advisor (michael garcia) the follow day, [xxx] to report the same issue. I spoke with the service agent and was not able to get a loaner vehicle until 6/28/2025. At this point the vehicle has less that 3,000 miles on it. I dropped off the vehicle at 7:00 am on the 24th for repair. Today is the 7th of July, 2025, and I am still waiting for the dealership to give me the status. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

24 Power Train problem of the 2001 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 03/29/2025

When im in traffic, starting out driving or merging between intersections my truck decides to either hard shift or not shift at all. Several times ive had to lay on my horn in an attempt to warn oncoming vehicles that I have no power and cannot accelerate and several times it has nearly caused an accident. I purchased the truck used and have yet to take it into the dealership to have them inspect the issue though from what I’ve read thus far is that Ford calls this problem “normal operation” and has been less than understanding when people attempt to have this obvious defect resolved. There are no warning lights that come on when this happens. I can have my truck inspected by whomever, whenever need be. I will also be returning to the dealer to use my warranty to help deal with this issue. The date this most recently happened causing a near miss was today, though there has been an occasional but recurring situation almost weekly.

Electrical system fails every day. It affects the engine, transmission, radio, windows, gauges. Wiring issue causes the radio to just go out, windows stop working, all gauges stops working, the transmission doesn't shift right, engine doesn't run right. Yes vehicle is available for inspecting. Engine cuts off and won't start back, leaves you stranded side the road. Truck stalls in front of other vehicles. Windows won't roll down when it's 100 degrees inside truck. Fuel gauge doesn't let you know when there's no fuel again leaving you stranded beside the road. Other gauge don't work could cause more damage. Yes it has been inspected my mechanic and he said there are wiring issues. No warning lamps or anything now but the wrench light has came on allot. There is a wiring recall on this year truck but said mine doesn't fall under that recall and I don't know why because I'm having this issue.

While on an incline with the front-end facing up-hill, in 2wd mode, the truck rolls backward after placed in "park. " the truck will continue rolling until application of the brakes. This happens every time. When in 4wd (h) mode, the truck does not roll when in "park. On 20 February 2025, we confirmed without a doubt that the truck is actually rolling while in "park.
