Electrical system fails every day. It affects the engine, transmission, radio, windows, gauges. Wiring issue causes the radio to just go out, windows stop working, all gauges stops working, the transmission doesn't shift right, engine doesn't run right. Yes vehicle is available for inspecting. Engine cuts off and won't start back, leaves you stranded side the road. Truck stalls in front of other vehicles. Windows won't roll down when it's 100 degrees inside truck. Fuel gauge doesn't let you know when there's no fuel again leaving you stranded beside the road. Other gauge don't work could cause more damage. Yes it has been inspected my mechanic and he said there are wiring issues. No warning lamps or anything now but the wrench light has came on allot. There is a wiring recall on this year truck but said mine doesn't fall under that recall and I don't know why because I'm having this issue.

While on an incline with the front-end facing up-hill, in 2wd mode, the truck rolls backward after placed in "park. " the truck will continue rolling until application of the brakes. This happens every time. When in 4wd (h) mode, the truck does not roll when in "park. " this has occurred since we purchased the truck on 23 December 2024; however, until yesterday, we thought the truck was only sliding on our icy driveway. On 20 February 2025, we confirmed without a doubt that the truck is actually rolling while in "park. " to ensure the truck does not roll, after placing in "park," we also apply the parking/emergency brake. This was reported to our local Ford dealer on 21 February 2025. A service appointment has been made.
Injector offset learning limits keeps triggering a engine light. Fuel consumption goes way up. Ford doesnt fix the problem they just keep clearing the code, but it always comes back.

Driving the vehicle and the transmission jerks really hard shifts from 6th gear to 1st gear. This happened while I was driving it. It loses power and won't go the check manual wrench pops up and then the check engine light comes in. I was doing 50mph when this happened for the second time. First time I was doing 45mph. The dealership I had gotten it from worked on the truck and replaced the computer and it still popped up the same code. Hadn't had the truck 3 weeks when the first incident happened. Then they had it for 3monhs and got it back saying it was fixed and it done it again on my way home from work. The transmission jumps gears while driving without warning or anything. Put my life and others in harm.
Transmission failure, 10 speed Ford transmission. Failure noted by delayed shifting between gears, and momentary loss of power when accelerating to highway speed. Ford has had numerous failures in its 10 speed transmission, and class action suits have been filed. The quoted repair costs are $8,360, at seth wadley Ford in perry, ok.
The tie rod broke while the vehicle was in motion. This caused the vehicle to lose control and crash into another vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles. There was no warning and no sign of any issues. Vehicle has been very well maintained, in fact, it has been in the shop at least once per month for the past year due to a number of mechanical issues unrelated to the tie rod.

The contact owns a 2020 F-250. The contact stated that while driving in low gear, the vehicle started surging, plunging, and shifting erratically. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and confirmed there were no open recalls on the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.
When shifting into drive the truck will lurch forward, a very hard shift. It also does the same thing in reverse. Several times the if my foot was not pressing very hard on the brake when shifting into drive or reverse the truck would lurch forward several feet. It there was an obstruction or person in front of the truck it would have put them at risk of being hit. While driving on cruise control it is very slow to shift and will skip multiple gears when shifting down when going up a hill. Sometimes also going downhill. This can cause the truck to slow down rapidly without a brake indicator which could cause a rear end collision if there is someone following closely. The truck is only 4. 5yrs old and has 60,597miles. Symptoms started about 3-4months earlier when truck was well under 60,000 miles however I was unable to get it to the dealer until 60,597 which puts the truck out of warranty. The dealer was able to reproduce the issues and performed a code reset as well as a reprogram and the issue was not resolved. Dealer tore down the transmission and said one of the clutch packs in the transmission has failed along with several other parts. It is now requiring a full rebuild or replacement. There were no warning lights, alarms or messages. Date below is approximately when symptoms started occurring. I do not yet have my vehicle back so do not have the full report from the dealer. I will submit when I receive my vehicle back.
The transmission would hang up in 7th gear when stopping at red light, caution light or stop signs without warning. It would roll like normal when letting of brakes however when out in the middle of traffic stop signs or caution lights the truck would not move and would not shift as it was hung in 7th gear. The only way to get the truck back in 1st gear was to place the truck in park and turn the ignition off then restart the vehicle. This has happened 3 different times post bringing the truck to silsbee Ford for a ecm and tcm reprogram. Originally called dealer back to reports extreme rough shifting and was told they did not mess with anything in the transmission and it was not due to anything they did, never received a call back from manager. No warning lights messages ever appeared to show the transmission had failed to down shift into first gear at the stop lights. All three of these events happened while my 7 year old child was in the truck and two of the times it was a near miss and narrowly avoided accidents. Prior to this since around 50,000 miles truck would shift rough with rough engagement into 3,4th,5th,6th, gears with frequent flare shifts and was told by dealers this was normal characteristic of the transmission.
My 2021 Ford F-250 equipped with the 10r140 10-speed transmission suffered a sudden internal failure around ~100,000 miles. The failure symptoms and internal damage match the defect Ford acknowledged in safety recall 22v-256, which applies to the 2020 F-250/f-350 trucks using the same 10r140 transmission. Despite identical symptoms and the same transmission design, my VIN [xxx] ) was excluded from the recall. Nhtsa’s VIN decoder also returned an “ambiguous model year” notice, suggesting this vehicle may have been built during the transition period where Ford continued using the same defective 10r140 components. Symptoms experienced prior to failure included harsh shifting, delayed engagement, gear slipping, and eventual loss of drive. A transmission shop stated they “won’t touch these transmissions” due to known issues. The failure created a serious safety risk due to sudden loss of power while driving. This appears to be a recall scope error. Early 2021 units like mine are experiencing the same 10r140 internal failures as the recalled 2020 population. I request NHTSA investigate whether Ford under-reported the affected VIN range and whether the recall should be expanded to include early-2021 F-250 trucks. 10r140 transmission failure on a 2021 Ford F-250. Identical to the failure described in 2020 recall 22v-256. Early 2021 VIN, suspected recall scope error. Approximately sometime in January 2025 not exact date. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Bad transmission at only 75,000 miles.
The investigation into the f-150 sudden transmission downshifts into a lower gear at highway speeds needs to be expanded and also include F-250 6. 7 l diesel. It has happened in my F-250 twice while traveling on the interstate at highway speeds, down shifts from gear 6 to gear 3. Very dangerous.

December 24, 2024, traveling in a line of vehicles on a two lane road, the vehicles ahead of me slowed to almost a complete stop. I braked and slowed along with the traffic to a near stop. As the traffic began moving again, I released my brake and pressed the accelerator pedal. The engine rpm's raised but the the vehicle did not move. It felt as if the transmission was in neutral. After releasing the accelerator and pressing it a second time, the engine revved again and then the transmission made a loud bang engaging the transmission and lurched the truck forward. I released the accelerator and braked to avoid striking the vehicle ahead of me. I pressed the accelerator again only to have the same scenario happen again. Fortunately, each time the truck did this, I did not strike the vehicle ahead of me. This is the not the first incident of this occurring with this vehicle. The truck then drove normally and did not experience this again on this trip. This had occurred previously a several months before with the same issue. I am unable to duplicate the issue and am unsure what causes the truck to do this. It appears that the transmission is unable to determine what gear it needs to be in and therefore acts as if it is in neutral when this occurs.
Transfer case is shifting from 2 wheel high to 4 wheel high while driving down the highway. It does not engage the the 4wheel drive front hubs when doing this so no indication this is happening. Eventually the shift fork breaks and transfer case is then either locked in 4 wheel high without knowing or the transfer case goes to a neutral position and loss of all power. In the my incident I was driving on the interstate and transfer case went to neutral without warning. I was in the middle of 4 lanes of traffic and total loss of movement. I was able to navigate the truck to the side of the interstate safely. However had this been in the middle of rush hour traffic this would most likely been a fatality report with multiple cars involved. After discussions with Ford techs I was advised this is an ongoing issue that has not been addressed by Ford and they are seeing more and more of these issues, so much so that their transmission techs are backed up for 3-5 weeks with these repairs. Seems to me this kind of failure NHTSA would be very aware of and demanding a recall be issued to fix this issue. Rather the owners are eating the cost of repair for a blatant safety issue being over looked.

This car has had a recall for almost year. I’m am terrified to drive my truck especially with my kids in it. Sometimes if I press the gas trying to cross traffic, it takes a while to go. Also sometimes it won’t crank up and start. It takes awhile few tried. My back up camera doesn’t work the way it should.
Truck lunges forward when at stop light, in drive and foot on the brake. Almost rear ended another driver. Did this several times. Also, when merging on highway and try to pick up speed the truck bogs down and hesitates almost got into two accidents because of this. Also loud clunking and banging on start up and when idling.

October 2024 (while out of state vacation): the transmission violently downshifted upon moderate acceleration such that truck lurched with a loud bang, went into limp safe mode in traffic, with no rear warning because brakes were not applied. I was able to shut the vehicle off and restart, and able to engage the transmission, though engagement remained harsh. No check engine lights were illuminated. Upon return home, I got the truck to local dealer service center. They had the truck for a week and said they could not determine a cause or problem. . . No scanner codes recorded? their tech could not duplicate. From October 2024 until June 2025, this same behavior occurred 2-4 times, all without cels. June 2025: truck taken to local dealership with symptom list, only now occurring more frequently. At my insistence, I asked the dealer to involve Ford engineering, to diagnose, and to compel Ford to honor the active full warranty still in place. This unresolved issue began October 2024. The dealer had the truck for over a month, and said he could not proceed further in diagnosing unless Ford authorized warranty payment for labor and parts. No progress was made, and it was told to me I have to contact Ford and push, because the dealer is an independent shop, not Ford proper. I took the truck away and drove, to allow possible worsening, or some other code to be recorded or cels to show. October 2025: truck violentlt downshifted without acceleration or deceleration from 35 mph to almost )mph, skidding and fishtailing, going into limp mode, and I was almost rear ended by following traffic. . . Since brakes were not activated to cause this. Truck went immediately into limp mode, and would not now engage park. I turned it off, restarted, and transmission would hardly go into drive. I limped home, and vowed I will not drive it again until repaired! no cels illuminated. The truck was towed to the dealer at my cost, and has been there over 2. 5 weeks as of 11/8/25. Ford denies help.
Normal driving on highway. I drove over a rough section of road and the truck began shaking uncontrollably. Was able to slow down and the shaking stopped. . I've spent over $4000. 00 to fix problem. Within 6 months the issue returned. Have told Ford dealship. They will not fix problem. This is the 5th time I've reported the issue.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed hauling a trailer, the exhaust manifold dropped raw fuel into the exhaust and it caught fire. The vehicle began to hesitate upon depression of the accelerator pedal before the contact was able to safely park the vehicle. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the VIN for the failure. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed with a defective lead frame. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
This vehicle was purchased new from ray varner Ford, clinton TN. Ford issued a safety recall notice for insulating material contacting the driveshaft. I took this vehicle to varner who said they inspected it but found no defect. Last year, the vehicle was seen by the Ford dealer in st augustine FL, who told me the safety recall had not been addressed. When I explained that varner had (at least claimed to have)_ inspected it, the rep said "if so , they didnt enter it into the computer system. " I have contacted Ford who essentially ignored the matter.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? the variable displacement oil pump delivers oil to the engine at low pressure/capacity during idle conditions. Routine occurrences of prolonged idle time may result in excess wear to the engine camshaft lobes and valve tappet surfaces due to reduced lubrication. Overtime, the engine may progressively run rough due to cylinder misfire. Additionally, customers may hear engine tapping noises and the check engine light may illuminate. This causes delamination of the lifters and camshaft which sends metal throughout the engine causing total engine failure and this requires a completely new engine. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? beyond the financial implications, a sudden breakdown on a busy road can lead to dangerous situations, putting both me and other drivers at risk. Additionally, driving a vehicle with a compromised engine can result in further damage and potentially cause accidents. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes there are many forums and videos online about this issue in the 7. 3 godzilla engine produced by Ford. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? my vehicle is currently at the dealership for repairs which they said they are unable to do so I will be taking it to another dealership next week. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? in my vehicle there was no cel but in other customers vehicles the cel will appear if the problem is not caught soon enough.
