2006 Ford f250 pickup. On 1/14/07, I noticed that the rubber seal around the windshield was beginning to lift from the vehicle body (near the top of the windshield). I took the vehicle to my dealer who had a windshield professional inspect the rubber. On 1/23/07, I was notified by my dealer that the windshield professional glued down the lifted portion and that if there were any additional problems, it would not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Nothing has been altered on the vehicle to cause this. It is a manufacturer defect and Ford is claiming that it was damaged during usage. Through further research, I learned that Ford crown victoria's have a similar problem that resulted in a service bulletin. I am demanding that the entire windshield assembly (and seal) be replaced under warranty.

The dashboard's reflection in the windshield is terrible! it is especially bad on a bright, sunny day or when I'm pulling into my garage. The glare makes it so difficult that I must roll down the side window and put my head out to be able to pull into the garage! when I drive it in the dark, the street lights light up the dashboard and that too reflects into the windshield. I've reported this to Ford executive office (karen jones) and they say it's just the way the vehicle was desgned. They claim it's not safety issue and have no plans to modify the vehicle. I disagree! they have not driven my truck and seen this!.

The contact stated the components under the dashboard got wet. Therefore, he took the vehicle to the dealership. They found the components were wet because the windshield was installed improperly. The windshield could be moved out one inch. The dealership stated it was probably a factory defect. But the warranty expired, and h the contact would have to pay for the repairs, which have been made. All of the electronic components under the dashboard had to be replaced .

The vehicle will lose power with the engine light coming on, cause unknown. The Ford dealership has had the vehicle for three days, stating that vehicle was getting some sort of resistance. The vehicle was again failing with the same problem. The consumer states that he had taken the vehicle to another Ford dealer and they seemed to have remedied the problem-linkage accelerator. The windshield was leaking-resealed-still leaking. The vehicle has been okay since the last repair. Now the windshield is leaking water, and is running behind the dashboard. The consumer has also experienced the following: when stopping the vehicle feels like the drivline shifts forward-loud bang, when starting off, the vehicle shifts backwards, the connector is not fully seated(pcm module), and the injector harness intermittenly opens-repair loose left valve cover injector harness connector causing high resistance cleared.
When vehicle goes through large puddles of water it splashs onto windshield, causing it to be very blurred. It takes several wipes before windshield is cleared enough to see. Windshield is so covered that driver can't tell what is in front or where he is going. Manufacturer will look into the problem.

Driver of the truck lizabeth salinas, driving north on interstate 25 from colorado springs to denver, very cold outside, approx 17 degrees , well below freezing, I had the heat on the lower vents only, after driving approximately 30 miles I switched the heat to come out the dash vents, soon after without warning the glass in the front passenger window exploded. I maintained control of the truck. Glass was everywhere in the cab, the majority of the glass was in the right passenger seat and floor, glass was also found in the bed of the truck. I had the glass replaced while I was at work in denver ($240. 00 my expense) damage was done to the paint outside right door and side of truck also the rubber inside and outside of the window was damaged. The inside plastic door surface was also damaged. I cannot afford to fix the paint and body work on the truck, it is Fords responsibility anyway. I am suffering an injured left shoulder and ear ache in my right ear. I noticed the vent on the right side dash was facing directly to the right window. I believe the high heat blowing directly on the glass caused it to explode during our cold weather. These vents need to be lower so they don't direct intense heat directly on the glass, this model truck has the lower cut front part of the window to accomodate the new larger side view mirrrors. Luckily I had no passenger and maintained control, this could have been much worse. During winter weather conditions most families choose to drive their trucks, turning on the heat in below freezing temperatures will happen again if it hasn't already.
Driver side glass shattered while driving at 75 mph. Interior of vehicle and passengers were left covered with glass.

While driving the truck, the window on the driver's side blew out. The driver was going about 40-45 mph.
While driving 65 mph windshield was impacted by a small object. When this occurred windshield glass spiraled out, and small pieces of spare shape glass went into the cabin of the vehicle and hit the occupants.
On nearly every f250/350 super duty I have seen in wy, there developes a crack in the windshield side to side about 5 inches up from the bottom, where the defroster hits. As many as I have seen, this seems to be a engineering or windshield defect. Are there other reports of this?.
