Driveshaft Problems of Ford F-550

Truck will shake uncontrollably at highway speeds. We have had the front end/drive shaft/new tires/wheels either replaced or gone through. Nothing has improved.

Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Ford F-550. The contact stated that the vehicle made an abnormal noise while being operated 70 mph. As a result the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power. The vehicle was towed to shults Ford Lincoln located 10401 perry hwy, wexford, PA where the failure was confirmed and diagnosed the componets connected to the driveshaft were damage as a result of the driveline vibrating. The vehicle was reapired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure where the contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 17212000(powertrain) however no futher assistance was offered due to no recall beung attributted to the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 24705. Kh.

While driving vehicle on highway all of a sudden clutch went out. Consumer has taken vehicle into dealer almost every 20ooo miles. Contacted dealer, and dealer was not willing to do anything. The vehicle had electrical problems. The cruise control goes off while driving for no reason. The bolts sheered off from the drive shaft. The air bag deployed while driving at 65 mph, injuring the consumers son, also consumer states emergency brake was on recall, however did not specify if repairs had been done.

Stabilizer bar has broken 8 times . Ford has mentioned there was an engineering problem, but was not offering to do anything for consumer. They were just replacing part. They had not tried to find a permenant solution. The drive shaft makes noise while driving.
