Tl-the contact owns 2016 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 50-65 mpg, without warning the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the purge solenoid was seized opened or closed which caused the vehicle to stall. The vehicle was repaired. Additionally, the vehicle experienced a shudder in the transmission and hard shift between gears while the vehicle was being driven. The contact also stated that intermittently the vehicle failed to shift to reverse after the clutch was replaced. The failure to shift to reverse was a new symptom which occurred only after the clutch was replaced. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were contacted and informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 72573. Ah.
