Air Conditioner Problems of Ford Focus

Air conditioning system, after about 45 minutes of use, will greatly reduce fan speed. Dealer says condensor may be freezing up due to a bad sensor. The car does not store a code for the dealer to diagnose which sensor is bad so they won't fix it. Dealer says next time it is in failure mode, bring it in to try to get a code.

Had to replace the power steering unit, replaced computer chips still comes on saying check engine, section of air conditioner rusted through, a small leak, have to keep getting it recharged.

Air conditioner failing to cool. My car has 33,000 miles on it. I bought it new in oct 2009. I am told it will be about $1,600 or more to repair the ac. This is not acceptable on a car with 33,000 miles on it. I am told the dash, steering column and console have to be removed to repair. I bought this car to last me the rest of my life. The factory warranty is for 36,000 which obviously I am under but it is five years old. I can't afford to fix it on my ss disability income and can't live in texas without ac.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. While attempting to start the vehicle, there was an abnormal sound from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The mechanic stated that it could be the air conditioner compressor and stated that the vehicle was safe to drive. The vehicle was not repaired. While driving approximately 30 mph, there was a smell of smoke inside the vehicle and noticed that the rear of the vehicle was smoking. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was confirmed that the air conditioner compressor and the belt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 51,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while parked, the contact turned the air conditioning on to levels 3 & 4 and noticed that the air would not blow. The failure recurred on one other occasion. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the pigtail and the switch melted together. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was unavailable. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

I have had only two problems with my 2006 Ford Focus. First we have had to change the ignition switch twice due to the key being stick in lock would restart but would not come out. Second the inner door on the defrost sticks when on full defrost or full air conditioning and the cables brake keeping the driver from using the air conditioner or defrost at this point it is stuck on air.

The hvac controls are frozen in the air condition and cold air position. If it starts raining the windows and windshield fog up making it impossible to see.

My air conditioner quit working to soon only about 4 years old at the time was told by mechanic that my compressor was out completly. I also have changed my low beam head light about 4 times why? another problem I have is my rear end tires keep wearing out way faster than the front tires why? also while I drive my car squeaks the noise comes from my dash and under my dash more so when I drive slower like around town also why?.

When air conditioner is running can not put car in park or the car stalls. . . This starting happening after a hose of some type was replaced at the back of the engine.
