The contact owns a 2001 Ford Focus. The cv-joint makes a noise when the vehicle made a right turn at approximately 5 mph. The dealer stated that they were unable to diagnose the failure. An independent mechanic stated that the cv-joint was defective. The vehicle has not been repaired. The current mileage was 40100 and the failure mileage was 40000.

2 Constant Velocity Joint problem of the 2000 Ford Focus

Failure Date: 05/15/2002

C v joint and shaft fell apart when the car was put in reverse leaving driveway. Pieces throw everywhere. Wheel bearings melting to rear drums . Back drums replaced and all 4 wheel bearings. Door lock system replced after stop working.

Right passenger front wheel collasped ,pulling cv joint out while driving at 30mph, causing wheel to fall sideways and into curb, resulting in damage to vehicle.
