When I am driving my car is fine, however when I come to a complete stop then try to accelerate, my car's transmission seems to stick. . . Then it causes my car to shudder. It happens every time my car hits 1600rpms.

I literally just bought this car and the stereo is popping very loudly when it is turned off , loud, low nothing seems to work but turning the car off and on. This a extreme safety hazard from being scared from the popping notices out of no where to my hearing on the road which is a danger. I have read many many problems with this happening but there is no recall. I am also have power issues to where my car jerks and shudders after a complete stop like it doesn't want to take off which it should not do. I have read many defects on this problem too.

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. While the contact's son was driving 60 mph, the vehicle began to shudder, seize, and the power train assist warning indicator illuminated. The contact's son managed to veer to the shoulder of the road. When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, it resumed normal operation. The vehicle was taken to asheville Ford Lincoln (611 brevard rd, asheville, nc 28806, (828) 276-1075) where it was diagnosed that the power control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred multiple times. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 13v523000 (power train). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

Car has been vibrating whenever accelerating since the first 6 months after it was purchased. Car was purchased in 2016. Started stalling a few months ago after any stops. Thought maybe transmission oil was low or dirty so I had it changed. Right after oil change check engine light came on and car began driving as it would get stuck. Had the car coded and it came back that the clutch was getting jammed. When I contacted Ford they said this was a known problem and that they would fix it as long as I was under 100k. I am an uber driver full time and my car is over 100k. Called Ford recall office and they told me I was never notified of this extended warranty because my car didn't fall under the year of the clutch issues. Ford has been trying to buy back my car 4months since I drove off the lot and I should of knew that was a red flag. I am currently spending 55 dollar a day on a rental so that I may continue doing uber which is how I earn my income. I do not want to pay money to get this car fixed and then another issue arises.

After driving the vehicle continually for approx. 30 minutes, there is a lull in gear switching from stationary to accelerated motion. Upon continued driving, the problem increases and car shakes, jerks and feels like it's going to explode. Car was purchased less than 1 month ago with approx. 37,500 mi. It now has approx. 37,600 miles. Car was taken to dealership today and after diagnostics screening, I was told to bring car back next Monday and they would replace both transmission clutches. I went online this evening to research the Ford Focus transmission and found articles telling about problems with the 2018 models. Articles tell of sudden accelerations that lead to accidents. I am terrified to get behind the wheel of my car now.

While in columbus, ohio, caught in heavy traffic, uphill, a red "transmission malfunction!" light went on, and the car immediately started shuddering and lurching forward. I was only going 5 - 10 mph in traffic, but the car was also shaking and when I came to a full stop the rpms would go up and down.

Car began shuddering and then would no longer shift gears or accelerate while going up an on ramp to the highway. Had to put the car in neutral to roll out of traffics way.

Vehicle loses power to the point of almost stalling out, and then surges forward, spinning the back tires. This happened on a hill, and I was almost hit by the car behind me! the rpm's rev way up and the engine won't shift. The car shudders and jerks and won't get going upon take off. This happened several times at an intersection/stop light, and I am afraid I am going to be rear ended. The car will not get going when it's supposed to.

When pulling off from a stop the car shudders and shakes. There is zero power behind it when pulling out no matter a flat road or hill. When going up hill the car struggles greatly. When you add passengers to the equation it gets incredibly worse. When there are passengers in the car when taking off from a stop the car shakes bad and has no power. It takes a long period to get to even 20 mph which means getting onto a highway is extremely dangerous. I am terrified to have my children in this car.

My vehicle vibrates, shimmies, and shakes on take off and on turns. Dangerous to drive especially crossing a highway. I have had it accessed at my Ford dealership and they said to replace the clutch and transmission input seals. There is a program out 14m01 that extends the warranty and field service alerts for this vehicle. Ford customer service said the vehicle is covered. When the dealership entered it in the system, the repair was denied by Ford. I know there is a law suit against Ford for this same problem. I need help to get my vehicle repaired by Ford. The customer service said that the dealership service manager should submit for warranty. I don't understand why there are denying this repair. I hope nothing else goes wrong with the leaking transmission seals while I am driving the vehicle because Ford refuses the repair. Driving somewhere where there is a stop light on every corner will give you whiplash. Crossing highways is very dangerous. You need to make sure nothing is coming for a long way away. This has happened since I bought it new in 2012. At first I thought it was because it was new. When I took it to the Ford dealership, I was told there was no fix. Now there is a fix. I took it this last time to the dealership 9/23/2019. There aare 41000 miles on the vehicle. Please help!.

From a dead stop car shudders, between gears will slip then pull. Not really accelerating. Clutch will slip, then jerk when it catches. This is prevalent in lower gears.

Received a notice for a clutch repair, bringing in on Friday. Car still shudders at slow speeds, and jerks into gear. When backing up on incline driveway, car rolls back.

I purchased a 2013 Ford Focus se on October 2014. Immediately noticed issues with car shaking upon acceleration. Figured it had to do with the torque I didn't know better. Wasn't till I started having problems starting car and it was hesitating everytime I stopped at a light. After few minutes it would pick up speed without hesitating until I stopped again. ( this car is an automatic but feels like a standard. ) had recalls and repairs done in 2015, a week after that had to take car back again for same issues. It was repaired again. Here we are September 16, 2019 and same issues. But now dealership is saying recall expires 7 yrs from when car was made. Not purchased. I was just a week past the expiration date. Now I have to pay out of pocket for something Ford could not get done right. Not only the first time, second and now third time! this will be the last time I purchase a Ford.

Purchased 9/2018. Care has been shaking likes its going to fall apart ever since then. . I have a manual transmission and car grunts when picking up speed like I have a clutch shift and makes this scratching noise when I shift from park to reverse. Or reverse to drive. Also when I barely tap the breaks its stop so suddenly the jilt forces me forward. . Today 9/13/19 the transmission fault message came on. And went off. Then when I start the car back up to check systems. . The message system says all systems normal and the light didnt come back on after driving it around, shift from reverse to drive, and shutting of and starting up car 3 different times.

I have felt on several occasions the car shake and seem to struggle to take off from a stop to go. Seems to increasingly get worse.

I got the vehicle on 4/30/2019, one month later, the vehicle began with issues. After you come to a full stop and then you let you foot off the brake and press the accelerator to go forward, the car shakes / vibrates. I have already taken my vehicle 3 times to the dealership about the same issue, the issue does get fix but after a month, the same issue begins again. The dealership told me that this problem will happen every month, I was never told about it before I bought/finance the vehicle. Where a new clutch was put in and now the module that controls the clutch needs to be replaced and Ford will not cover. They want 950. 00 to do the work and I may get my money back in the settlement. The car has been there for a week and a half. I have taken pictures of the code from the car and all repair records since I filed with the settlement group. Ford is making things even more difficult to deal with any clutch issues. They even admit the issues and do nothing at the dealership. They are waiting for the customer top get made and just pay for the repair so that they may not have to cover it in the end. The code that came up is transmission malfunction service now and no hill asst. . I was driving on a flat road.

The car has been stalling, jerking, jumping and skipping every time I accelerate. I have taken the car to the dealers more than 4 or 5 times since I bought it in 2014! they told me those cars will do that. Wrong! I have all the paperwork of how many times I have taking it for the same thing. The car continues to shudders at slow speeds, and jerks into gear. When backing up on incline street/driveway, rolls back. When accelerating in a highway is dangerous as the car does not respond and making it a safety hazard when shifting lanes, entering on intersections or highway. The problem continues after taking if to the dealer many times.

Also, when taking off from a complete stop the car shudders the worse. The car also feels unsafe when trying to slow down. It feels as if the car is staying in a higher gear when letting off the accelerator pedal and not downshifting properly.

I took it to the dealer and they advised that both clutch actuators are defective. This is not in relation to any prior recalls. Was advised this is also a major issue that the dealer service department sees. This began happening several months ago and they want an outrageous amount to fix it. Major safety issue because people do not want to pay the high fee so these cars are staying on the road.

Bought this vehicle August 2018 from prince frederick Ford ever since then I have had nothing but issues with the car making a vibration grinding noise along with a shudder when I let off the gas the car increase speed causing a slam on the breaks vehicle hesitates at times when increasing speed this vehicle scares me so much have been to dealer 3 times just to say can't duplicate issue which is a lie I would love to go to a new car but the rollover amount is insane and don't wanna do that for a pos car I have written Ford but they say go to a dealer we have nothing to do with that when they do they make the crappy unsafe car not to mention the car dash makes noises and it's overall a cheap vehicle that should not be on road highly unsafe.

Recently had my transmission replaced for 7th time, car still shuddering, hesitating with lack of power whether at a standstill or on the move.

The vehicle started to shudder and jerk while it was in motion only two months after the purchase of the vehicle. The diagnosis was a bad clutch in an automatic vehicle.

Car shakes badly when accelerating from a stop, especially on an incline. Car can stall and come to a stop when traveling less than 40 mph. The first issue has been happening since the car was new and the stalling began happenin just in the last week.

When car warms up about 25 minutes when accelerating from a stop the car jolts and shutters and shakes your body as you're holding the steering wheel. So it is very dangerous when entering an intersection and your go to accelerate and the car shakes your body because it's jolting because the transmission is acting up. This is definitely a safety issue and needs to be addressed.

My car is currently shuddering and not properly shifting some days it drives and some days it won't move at all. It all started about a month ago when I was on the freeway and was almost rear ended due to it shuddering, the car started to slow down and came too a complete stop and dash read transmission is too hot wait 8 mins. I am guessing once it cooled it would be better but it kept shuddering some days it drives fine and most of the time it's dragging rpm high and shuddering when pulling off from light or stop sign.

Car will start to shudder when accelerating after coming to a stop (ex. Stop sign/light). Vehicle wont start after pumping gas. Fuel gauge seems to be off even after a recall was done. When accelerating rpm will go up but the car wont accelerate.
