1 Coolant Leaking problem of the 2007 Ford Freestar

Failure Date: 02/28/2011

My 2007 Freestar with 64k miles started overheating. I had to add 2 gallons of water to make it home. Coolant was pouring out by passanger tire. Had it towed to Ford and found out that the oil coolant lines had corroded thru and was leaking. Ford does not sell the metal lines and had to replace the entire oil cooling system at a cost of $756. 00. Ford would not help us out. Said it was not there problem and the van was out of warranty. If my wife was out with our grand daughter and it was in the winter it could have been deadly being stranded on a back road. A 4 1/2 year old van should not have lines rotting out like this.
