Takata recall. The recall date for the airbag recall was June 2016 and it has now been nearly a year and Ford still has "no remedy" for this recall. This is extremely dangerous in the case of an accident. In addition, I was not notified of this recall or the electronic throttle body issue that my car also has but now is past the "extended warranty" and they will not fix for free, despite me having made a complaint about it in the past. Last week, I was on the freeway traveling at 70 mph, my car suddenly stopped accelerating and slowed down rapidly. I had been lucky no one was closely following behind me and I was in the right lane and quickly could pull over or I could have been hit from behind at a very fast speed because of the etb failing. I have never been notified of any of the safety issues that my car has. Ford has failed to notify me and I feel that because they did not send me anything, even though they have my address and email, they put me at risk of an accident that could have led to serious injuries.
My husband was speeding up to pass someone when the car lost power and stopped accelerating. The vehicle behind him almost hit him because the car slowed down so rapidly. We contacted Ford and they said it was the throttle body. They've had the car for almost 2 weeks-the part is on back-order.

My husband was driving 65 in the fast lane of busy hwy 99. Wrench light came on, and vehicle suddenly slowed down. I put on flashers. Why is all the information about the cause of the error code (wrench) erased when car is turned off??????.
Was driving on at 65mph on a state highway and passing another vehicle when my vehicle suddenly stopped responding to the accelerator. The engine dropped to 750 rpm and wouldn't do anything in response to my attempts to accelerate. The vehicle slowed quite rapidly because of this problem and I had to take evasive action to avoid a crash. There was no warning prior to it happening and no sounds associated with the incident. If my wife had been driving I know there would have been an accident. After turning off the vehicle and restarting it, the vehicle drove properly. When I returned home, I checked for any codes and found there were none. Took the vehicle to the dealer for repair and was told "it is probably the throttle body control; we know there have been many incidents like this". This was reported yesterday in another incident but not with "speed control" as the affected part. I did not know it was an option at that time.
