1 Throttle Control Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 03/08/2020

I have a Ford Fusion 2010 we purchased last year and apparently it had throttle issues that we covered a few years ago our car is starting to act up with this to where last week I could have died on a major highway in PA cause I lost engine power and your company is refusing to fix the problem if something happens to me or my family I will sue Ford because your company is refusing to help fix my car because it's past the 10 years or 150,000 it should not matter. I know it's the throttle cause both the engine light and the wrench will come on and it shakes bad please I want this fixed by Ford at no charge.

3 Throttle Control Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2012

As I was driving down the road, my vehicle "stalled" ('limp" home mode) for no reason, the transmission/throttle control indicator light appeared on the instrument panel. I safely pulled the car over, as I slowed down the vehicle began to "gerk". The only way I was able to stop this was by putting the car in park and shutting off the engine. This happened after I had been on the road for about 15-20 min. I pulled back on to the road and a very short time later it happened again. I pulled over, shut the car off and started it back up and again it was "fine" (operational). I then made it the rest of the way home. This happened late on a Saturday evening of labor day weekend. I took the car to the dealership on Tuesday and on my way there it went into "limp home mode" 4 times in a 7 mile commute. Ford did a diagnostic test and informed me that it would need a new throttle body. I am waiting to hear from Ford if they are going to cover the expense as this is a known issue. The Ford dealership told me it would be $460. 00 +tax to perform the repair.
