The contact stated while driving at various speeds and making sharp turns, the rear end of the vehicle made an abnormal popping sound and was swaying from side to side. The vehicle was taken to a tire mechanic, where it was determined that the rear differential had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then taken to another independent mechanic, where it was determined that the rear differential bushing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
