Air bag on dash board is on. My gears won't switch how they used to. It takes a very long time for me to get the gear on drive mode. Stepping on the gas break to move gear, it also doesn't help.

The airbag warning light was on and stayed on. The passenger airbag light said the airbag was off when a person was in the passenger seat. I had to turn the car off while in park in my driveway and turn it back on after a few minutes. The light went off and didn't come back on. The transmission does not shift smooth when switching gears from park to drive.

"takata recall" - 16s26 2nd notice I received a letter in January that parts would be available in spring 2018 and it gives a warning of not letting anyone sit in the front passenger seat. This car now belongs to my 17 year old son and am concerned for him and the fact that he takes his siblings to school and other places. I think for the safety of the public who has these vehicles, Ford needs to provide loaner cars. I sent a complaint to you in October 2017 and have heard nothing. This recall is dangerous!!! and should have been handled better and faster. The public relies on these vehicles and to tell them not to drive them or not to have a passenger is a major problem, especially if it's the only vehicle they own. All cars should be required to have an air bag shut off switch! I want this resolved ASAP!!!!! people have been waiting long enough and are being put in harms way because this is taking too long. I expect a response from you! if I don't receive a response soon, I will be contacting local and/or national news agencies!.

Takata recall (16v-384). I received a letter one year ago (Jul 2016) regarding this recall. I am still operating this car on a daily basis. This model does not have an off switch for the passenger side front air bag so I cannot have a front passenger ride safely with me in this car as it stands now. Can you at least have a Ford mechanic install an off switch for this dangerous air bag at least until a total recall can be performed? if not, I expect this recall (16v-384) to be accomplished very soon because having to wait over a year would be extremely irresponsible on your part. Please get this done now. Thank you! my next step will be to write the potus!.

Takata recall ac/heat continues to go out randomly. Ac/heat/defroster is not working. Have to manually lock each door upon exit of vehicle because automatic switch not working, the car shutdown and I cant enter the vehicle at times the key will not open my car door, I had to enter my car through the trunk at 3a. Engines problems, electrical problems, back tail/brake light continues to go out often, and other issues. Sometimes key wont turn in the ignition and brakes lock up.

Takata recall. Received recall notification in Mar 2017 from Ford. Search of VIN on safecar. Gov shows remedy not yet available. Contacted dealership, they have no expected date for remedy and have received no guidance from Ford manufacturer to date. This is unacceptable. Ford is supposed to be working on supplier for this recall, yet seems to be doing nothing. The NHTSA also has not initiated inquiry as to why Ford has not yet started to work on this recall - also unacceptable. This is a serious recall, I wish someone would make Ford act. Now receiving bankruptcy notices from takata informing me that I may not have any remedy after all. Someone needs to make Ford step up or create an exception for vehicle owners to have airbag switch installed on their vehicle. I will be contacting my congressman on Monday about the switch exception - I suggest everyone who owns a Ford Fusion 2009 do the same. There is no fix on the horizon and no one seems to be working to address this issue.

1. Takata recall- air bag: air bag sensor or light goes blinking for 30 mins or more than it switches to the panel light and stays there lit up. . 2. Steering column-stiff and grinding noise: when it drives backward reverse it makes that noise and when on the road it begins to make loud noise, then the steering gets hard to steer. 3. Ac coolant does not blow cold air: does not get cold and blows out warm air only.
For at least two years now I been getting recall letters and no parts are available and if this is a recall for safety for my airbag and they have not been able to resolve the problem then they need to be held responsible for the issue. I had purchased this car new and was the only owner with low miles for years on the car. I also had a problem with the power steering box some switch that controlled the pump kept leaking and leaking and I replaced it at least once a year and it was a manufacturing part of Ford as I only serviced my car there.
Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while at a stop light, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle causing the contact to crash into the rear of the vehicle in front and the air bags failed to deploy. In addition, the fuel safety cut off switch failed to activate. The air bag warning light illuminated. The contact sustained minor bruises that did not require medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was driven from the crash scene and was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 112,000. The VIN was unavailable. Oo.
Drivers side door lock became inoperable. Drivers side door will not lock using the lock switch or the lock button on the key. The only way to let yourself out from the drivers side is to roll down the window and open the door from the outside. The only way to lock the drivers side door is with the actual key itself. This is very inconvenient and dangerous I feel if I were in an accident. Also, my 2008 Fusions air bag on the passenger side dash is starting to lift away. Anything to due with my family's safety is a big deal! these things are dangerous and need to be recalled and fixed!.

I am the adult CO-owner of 2014 Ford Fusion hybrid. The dashboard airbag light is lit indicating the airbag is off when I occupy the front passenger seat. The service manager at the selling dealership claims the air bag is functioning properly and is designed to work in conjunction with the seat belt. Therefore, Ford is telling me I must learn to live with this hazard. I understand a disabled airbag is intended to protect children. I am not a child! I am the adult, CO-owner and CO-driver of the car. I weigh 90 lbs and am 51. I am in jeopardy because this car does not offer me the full protection of the current passenger seat belt/ air bag combination. Nhtsa warns, in part e of its form request for air bag on-off switch¿, that the seatbelt operating without the airbag, can allow me to hit the dashboard or the windshield. Ford is aware of this problem because the Ford owner'¿¿s manual suggests I sit in the rear seat. I have optimum protection when I drive the car. This 2014 Ford Fusion hybrid denies me, as a small stature adult, full airbag seatbelt protection while offering full airbag seat belt protection to larger adults. This gap in protection increases my risk of injury and is contrary to nhtsa¿s mission statement of ¿preventing injuries. I am not as safe as I should be in this car. I contacted the dealer immediately regarding this safety issue. The dealership¿s owner promised me that a Ford engineer would look at the car. To date I have not seen this representative this is an urgent safety matter. I request the NHTSA to direct the Ford motor company to fix this airbag safety failure making me as safe as other adult passengers.

I was driving our 2008 Fusion on winding roads near our home in wnc. I was into a switch back turn and was approached by an oncoming vehicle which was on my side of the double yellow line. I did not have to swerve but allowed plenty of room for the other vehicle to pass. As they passed I was pulled into the snow and ice and off the road. I hit the side of a mountain and came to an instant stop. Our vehicle has sustained many thousands of dollars worth of damage ie front end bumper and sheet metal engine cradle broken, frame floor roof buckled doors on the right side windshield. All this damage with no air bag deployment or seat belt interlock! I was driving approximately 30 to 35 mph and sustained several injuries among which are; facial lacerations and contusions, knee injury resulting in bruising and contusions and reinjuring of recent shoulder surgery. I also am seeking legal advise as to Fords liabilities.
