Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator Problems of Ford Fusion Hybrid

I got a recall notice for the passenger side airbag inflator. ( 5/2018) I called flammer Ford, and I was told I'd get a call back when the parts came in. I am still waiting my car is in florida, and I'd really like to just disable the driver's side airbag. Will the dealership do this for me? car is 8 years old!.

2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Consumer writes in regards to passenger airbag inflator safety recall. The consumer stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time completing the recall repair. The consumer was was informed that the parts necessary to complete the recall repair were not yet available.

Takata inflators. I have been notified by Ford that there has been a recall, I have called different dealers to schedule a time to perform the work needed to fix the problem and all they have told me is that they do not have the materials needed to complete the work. The person I spoke to said that they will notify me by phone or text. This has been going on for over a year now.

Takata recall. Psan inflator is defective and could rupture, creating a risk of personal injury or death. We reside in a warmer part of the u. S. And were told by Ford motor company when I called them previously that our repair should be expedited because we are at higher risk for injury (the inflator malfunctions more quickly in warmer climates).

I received a recall notice in March 2017 about the frontal airbag inflators, and the letter stated that I would receive notice when the parts were available so I could schedule the repairs with my dealer. That was almost 5 months ago amd I'm still waiting. When will my vehicle be repaired?.

"takata recall" this "joke" has gone on far too long. Until parts actually become available, how about having the dealer simply remove the defective inflator and let us rely on the 3-point seat belt???!!! it would be tons better than having to suffer with only 3/4 of a car and having to put my mobility challenged wife in the back seat. This is just plane wrong and stupid!!!!.

Takata recall - I received my first letter about this dated July 2016 which stated the passenger frontal airbag inflator may rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. I have received a second letter dated December 2017 which states "do not let anyone sit in the first row passenger seat". This letter was received just after I returned home from a long trip with a front seat passenger. Why was I not warned not to have front seat passengers for 18 months? I have contacted my dealership repeatedly who say parts are unavailable and I have called the Ford customer relationship center who told me parts may be available in the spring of 2018 but would not commit to a definite month. I believe I am in zone a which is a higher priority area - California. Why is this taking so long? not to allow a front seat passenger is very inconvenient.

Takata recall. Received "safety recall notice 16s26/nhtsa16v-384 warning ruptured inflator could cause "death. " yet Ford dealer has no parts and Ford says no idea when parts will arrive and that "car is safe to drive". Have large family and cannot use car because of this. No loaners available.

Takata recall I have received two notices of a safety recall on the passenger frontal airbag inflators. I received my first notice in July of 2016 and my second notice a few days ago. I contacted my local dealership and they said the replacement parts have been on back order for over a year. He said he has no idea when they will come in. I need this issue resolved immediately as I drive with passengers on a consistent basis.

Takata recall - I received notification of an active recall for the airbag inflator in my car in June 2016 (NHTSA recall number 16v384). . However, the recall is incomplete with no remedy available. How am I supposed to protect myself or sell my car with no fix for this active recall?.
