Side/window Air Bag Problems of Ford Fusion Hybrid

Takata recall. I have a letter from Ford advising of a passenger side airbag recall for my vehicle from July 2016. There has been no communication since. Calls to Ford have been unproductive at resolving the problem.

Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid, the contact had received a recall in July of 2016 and contacted Ford and was advised that parts were not available to complete the recall. The contact then received a second letter in July of 2017 for NHTSA recall number 16v384 (passenger side airbag) had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The contact had again contacted auto nation Ford 2305 s college st, auburn, al 36832 334) 316-8628 , and was advised that the parts were not available to complete the recall. The VIN tool shows recall incomplete , remedy not yet available. The manufacturer was contacted and made aware of the situation and had advised the contact they were not sure how long it would be for parts to become available. No failure was experienced with the vehicle cb.

Takata recall - my vehicle was issued a recall July 2016 for passenger-side airbag. I have contacted my dealer to request a fix. The dealer has indicated that parts are not available. I received notification of chapter 11 bankruptcy from tk holdings 10/26/2017. Notification stated to contact the dealer to have the car repaired. The dealer maintains that parts are not available. My car is unsafe to drive with a passenger.

Takata recall -- we have been unable to get Ford to complete necessary recall repairs. We received a letter dated July 2016 stating that the passenger side air bag was defective and that they would contact us when parts were available. We have checked several times since and have not been able to get the air bag replaced.

Ford notified me of recall for passenger side airbag in 2016. Dealers told me they could not replace it at that time. It is over a year later, they still cannot replace it or disable it. So my passengers need to ride in the back seat now for over a year.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated that the light for the passenger's side air bag would not illuminate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis but the dealer could not duplicate problem. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage 10,000.
