Takata recall. Passenger airbag warning light has been going on for over a year. Ford notified me for a recall June 2016, but they still have no solution. Notice from tk holdings inc. Suggests possible defective ammonium nitrate propellant that could rupture, with risk of injury or death. 1. 5 years is too long for Ford to respond to dangerous situation.

The cars warning lights for hill stop assist, service advance trac, traction control, and the air bags all came on indicating that these safety features we're not working properly. Taken to the dealer and they said its the rcm or restraint control module that failed. The car was in no accidents, and was driving normally. This part is backordered for weeks but Ford would not provide a loner vehicle, so we faced with driving a car that is definitely not as safe as purchased, and the mandated safety features are not working. This problem is happening t many fusion 2013 hybrid owners as seen on the Ford forums, and it needs to be a recall, and people should get a loner car while waiting for these to get fixed.

Airbag disabled warning light appeared on dash. Took it to dealer and after 2 days, it was decided that the computer controlling the airbags had to be replaced. For the next 4 years this same light has come on indicating the airbags are not operating. Each time the same dealer has said the problem was "in the wiring harness under the passenger seat". It works for a time and then with no warning fails again. On one occasion it occurred just when leaving on a 2500 mile trip so we were without airbag protection. I am convinced that it has to do with having a passenger in the right rear seat and that feet under the seat interfere with the wiring. The dealer has never resolved it. Multiple times it has resolved itself before I can get in for service so I am brushed off by the dealer. I consider driving this car without working airbags a great life threatening hazard. I was the passenger in a vehicle with airbag deployment once and am convinced my life was saved by them.
