The contact stated that while driving approximately 80 mph, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted from fifth gear to first gear, causing the vehicle to abruptly decelerate. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated but in limp mode. The vehicle was taken to the local service center who diagnosed that the wheel speed sensor and lead frame needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 140,000.

2 Antilock/traction Control/electronic Limited Slip Wheel Speed Sensor problem of the 2013 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 09/16/2020

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving at varouis speeds the vehicle hydroplanned without warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the rear wheel siezed spung 360 around crashing inot the gardrail. The contact sustained no injuires. No medical attention contacted. A police report was made. The vehicle was towed by the contact insurance company to a lot for repairs to the passenger side of the vehicle. The dealer nor manufacturer was notifed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximatley unknown.
