1 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2015 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 12/13/2017

Car fails to start on repeated occasions. Car information indicates battery voltage is at a 14. 3 on many occasions but car will not start. Lights come on as well as interior items like radio and information window. On one occasion car shut off while in traffic, and took a few minutes to get to restart. When push button start is pushed car acts like it wants to crank but does not. When this happens I have to get a jump to get the car started. I have taken it to Ford dealership for diagnostics only for them to tell me nothing is wrong, but this has happened close to 10x times now with no remedy. When it does not start is has been either stationary or in motion whether at home , work or city streets.

4 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2005 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 10/01/2013

After a light rain I noticed water dripping into the passenger side kick plate/glove box area. Car would not start. Had it towed to dealer. Started next day and could not replicate problem. Next day, same problem. Water noticeable in passenger compartment. Shook Smart junction box and notice water leaking out. Car started and stopped when sjb shaken. Took to dealer. Replaced sjb for $750. Month later same issue, this time car shut off while driving on freeway in rain. Loss of all control, electrical and power. Could not restart. Pounded on sjb and eventually started. Got it back home. Now brakes lights, turn signal, headlights, a/c and display panel not operating. I am surprised that someone has not been killed yet. In trying to solve this issue, it appears that the internet is fully of the same stories. Sickening.

5 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2006 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 05/05/2013

When someone finally dies from this incident which has been reported numerous times by consumers both on this site and with TSB's from Ford issued as early as 2007 then someone will take notice just like what just happened at gm. Please do something before someone dies. There are multiple electrical failures due to a serious water leak affecting the entire car. My 2006 Ford Mustang has been at the dealership since Feb. 8 2014 and we just picked it up for this issue which was supposedly fixed once before. Now with another fee of $1,200. 00 paid we picked up our car after 2 months and upon driving the car home the ac is not working and the sensor lights are on for the door!!! what does it take for someone to realize there is a major problem here? this comes after an extensive water leak that caused serious mold damage inside the car along with electrical issues, one of which a new battery was needed. This was first "repaired" in 5/2013 but was not repaired because in 12/2013 there was a massive interior flood which lead to a massive interior mold problem and the car also would not start and was towed to two separate dealerships. No one wants to assume responsibility and there is a huge amount of data out there supporting the fact that Ford has known about this issue as early as 2007. The manager at the Ford dealership told us that although he would assume no responsibility for the car because Ford has not issued a recall he would not let his wife or children drive in that car!!.

6 Car Will Not Start problem of the 1992 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 02/18/2013

The contact owns a 1992 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that he experienced difficulty in turning the key in the ignition on multiple occasions. There was an abnormal clicking noise that was heard when attempting to start the vehicle in addition to the vehicle stalling sporadically. The failure was recurring. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where the contact was advised that a connector wire and a fuse link needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure was not remedied. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number: 96v071000 (electrical system) however, the VIN was not included in the recall campaign. Additionally, the contact noticed smoke from the ignition as the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed back to an authorized dealer, who diagnosed that the wire to the fuse link was fractured. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not further repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 108,726.

7 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2007 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 01/02/2012

My 2007 Ford Mustang has had a water leak under the passenger side area that has and is still causing electrical shortage in the car. Everytime it rains water gets into the vehicle and causes major damage. Ford dealership will not repair it under warranty and my out of pocket expenses to fix this problem would be enormous. This water leak is a TSB on Ford's site which means they know something is wrong with the 05-09 models. My car is now out of commision and will not start. I have replaced two batteries over the last year because of the water leak causing shortages in my car. This car is now a lemon beccause of the severe water damage Ford has caused my vehicle to receive. I have a vehicle that will not start and Ford will not repair without payment. I am sending this complaint so that a recall can be issused so I can repair my car. Ford knows there is a major problem and has done nothing about this. This is a $35,000 vehicle and only 5 years old and the engine won't even start. This issue is a major electrical hazard and is a danger to myself and my children.

Car would not start.

10 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2005 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 02/01/2005

New car , failed to start numerous times, do not drive car every day as I commute, only drive on weekends. Try to start car after 1 1/2 weeks and had to jump start it . Called dealer and they said that because it has computer it will be constantly running and that is why it did not start. So after a few more times not starting I got a die hard battery, car has failed to start at least more than 3 times since. I hardly drive this car, purchased in 12/04 and it only has approx. 8000 miles. I should not have to worry about my car not starting after a few days of not driving. It has only been 5 days since I last drove and I have to jump it again. I am afraid to go anywhere with it. If I go away on vacation for 2wks , I have to worry about coming home to a car that will not start. I am taking to dealer to see what can be done.
