Ford motor company and the NHTSA issued a recall on 2/15/2022 on my 2016 Ford Mustang model vehicle a few months ago. It was "back over prevention: sensing system: camera". Recall no. 22v082000. Also, recall number: 22s06 decklid wiring universal camera fretting corrosion. Ford sent me a letter on 2/17/2022 alerting me of the recall indicating that a resolution to this issue would come about early in the second quarter of 2022. It feels like we're now approaching quarter 3 of the year and I have yet to be notified of repairs and my rear view camera is now completely not functioning at all. When I've searched recently for this recall, there is no longer any more information on the Ford website, nor the NHTSA website. I find that completely bizarre. I'd love to car the proper repairs immediately being that Ford guaranteed that it would be repaired accordingly to resolve the recall issue. Can you please look into why this recall has disappeared from your website, from Ford's database, and please help me get my car repaired>.

L last March 2020 I took my car in for inspection at my Ford dealership (wynne Ford hampton va) and inspector failed my state inspection because of the backup light not working. The electrical was repaired. Now my backup camera is not working. Same problem with the electrical wiring. Osha std has a quality workmanship. Ford has made a poor workmanship for these safety devices. Need a recall at no expense for consumers for their poor workmanship related to safety. Too many individuals reported with the same issues.
Update information the problem is the backup camera. Poor design and installation with possible shortness of length of wiring creating too much tension. Any device safety devices needs to be corrected. The other problem last March I had to pay is the third backup light because of poor wiring design.
Heated/cooled seat module shorted, burned, and melted the wiring harness. Seat function is no longer operative.
Vehicle's back up camera was only working intermittently, then stopped working all together. Error code (per dealership, c1001 I think but may be incorrect code) indicates a problem with the wiring that connects the camera to the center console.

Backup camera doesn't work. Checked automotive blogs, seems like a common problem. Wiring harness is crimped by deck lid. Made appointment for warranty work. Seems to be of poor design. Wondering why a service bulletin hasn't been issued. Concerned regarding future problems when not under warranty. Ford should issue a service bulletin. Poorly designed component. I'm glad it will be fixed under warranty, but am concerned for future repairs or more serious related electrical short circuit issues. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly; 4 - VIN corrected, error in one position only (indicated by ! in suggested VIN), multiple matches found; 14 - unable to provide information for all the characters in the VIN. #vpic#.
Backup camera malfunctioning, have had serviced several times and the expense is getting higher and still no fix. Ford knows there is a problem and they refuse to fix but this is a safety issue these cars have soo many blind spots you can't see backing up without it. It seems to be worse when car heats up, it rolls or goes blank and won't come on at all most days. It starts intermittently so when you carry it to Ford they say nothing is wrong but then it goes back to doing and your a danger when backing out anywhere why is nobody doing anything?? I purchased the vehicle in June of 2018 and it was messed up even then when the previous owner had it. It has been in and out of the shop 5 or 6 times if not more. Lcd screen replaced wires checked and now I'm having pay 300$ to replace the wiring harness and no guarantee of a fix. I feel unsafe and have backed out in front of moving vehicles and this is going to cause an accident if not fixed. You can't see in this car without it!!can someone please do something this is all over the internet as a problem and no one has any one sure solution but its defective and costing a fortune and still not working, while Ford overlooks it that's soo dangerous!! you cannot see!!!.
I have having issues with wiring. Wide shield wipers don't work, multiple head lights are out and dome light stays on sometimes.

Rodents have been chewing on the wiring under the hood. I feel this is due to the soybased wiring coating that is being used on newer vehicles. 1st incident. The ac wiring was effected. 2nd incident 2 weeks later engine wires were chewed up. This seems very similar to the current Honda rodent issues that a class action lawsuit is currently filed for. The vehicle was parked under my carport over night. It is a daily driver used everyday.
The contact owns a 2009 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled and overheated. In addition, the check engine warning indicator illuminated and the temperature gauge increased. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.

Lost function of brake lights, turn signals and flashers. Ford dealer in winston salem, nc said the drain below the windshield has stopped up and diverted the water via the wiring to the sjb thereby shorting it out. Had new sjb installed and water removed from passenger floor area. Took 2 days for carpeting to dry out. Cost was 610. 38 plus the sjb. This situation could have caused an accident for not having brake lights or turn signals. It is now July 1, 2014 and the same part has failed again but without the water issue. The car is going back in the shop tomorrow. I hope I don't get rear ended on the way to parkway Ford. Please address this issue with Ford motor company. There are hundreds of issues involving the location of the sjb posted on the internet. There needs to be a recall before someone is killed, if they haven't been already.

I was driving on the freeway at 65 mph. All of a sudden the car just stopped running. All dash board lights came on including check engine and theft light was blinking. Luckily traffic was light during the time I was driving. I ended up getting pushed off the freeway by the chp. I had to tow the car to the dealer, and the service advisor stated to me, that a wiring harness that was mounted above the cat converter, and the wire shorted out. Whatever was holding the wire in place must have came off, and that over time the wire shorted out because the wire harness was resting on the very hot surface of the cat converter. The dealer took pictures, and I could not believe that they put such a vital wire harness directly above something that gets extremely hot. I was lucky, but someone else my not be so lucky. No warning lights and a car just shuts completely down while driving. I hope you will look into this issue and not just the year and model of my car. This must be recalled before someone gets hurt or killed.

Driving down the highway in a drizzle rain, the headlights, blinkers, fuel gauge, stereo, stopped working, the ebrake light, fuel light, check engine light, oil light, came on. The traction control turned of and will not turn back on. On passenger side of vehicle floor was wet, the Smart junction box had water on it and on the wiring harness.

The top of the clutch pedal assembly when depressed and released rubs the wiring harness to the brake switch, neutral safety switch and others shorting out the brake lights and making the cruise control inoperable. It works for a while but then it blows the fuse again and someone has to stop me and tell me my brake lights don't work. The dealer has replaced one of the wires for the brake switch which is in that same wiring harness and says the problem is fixed but sooner or later it will rub the rest of the wires bare too. I have also replaced the brake switch a couple times because when it shorts out it melts it if the fuse doesn't blow right away. I am afraid one time someone will rear end me or I will get a ticket.

I recently purchased a 2005 model Mustang gt from jim skinner Honda in dothan alabama. The vehicle has a significant water leak into the passenger floorboard and into the Smart junction box area. The water penetrates into the wiring harnesses and box itself. Being that most operations on this vehicle are electronically controlled it is my opinion (mechanic) that water intrusion into this area could cause an engine failure and has caused lighting malfunctions on the taillights of the vehicle. When raining the vehicle typically experiences electrical ghosts of various sorts. Also the vehicle would not start during some heavy water intrusion instants. But given time this problem can and will lead to a fire or a electrical malfunction causing a crash and/or death.
Windshield wiper motor failure. First occurrence was sept 20 2007 was told the wiring had some corrosion on it and was replaced. March 27 2008 I experienced a stuck accelerator (another complaint filed) while getting on the freeway and car was towed to dealer, no wipers or radio after the accelerator problem. Dealer calls to say that the wiring had corrosion on it again. Ive had 3 batteries in it due to a leaking windshield that leaked onto the fuse box and was shorting everything out. Rear defroster repaired in April 2007 its not working properly again only clears part of the window. The car was bought new in 2005 and has 6485 miles on it. The dealer gets to see the car almost everytime I drive it. This is getting ridiculous.
Water leak, passenger side under dash. Dealer decline to repair because they could not reproduce leak.
Driving along when I heard a loud pop. Followed by loud popping and rattling sound when on. Found out after taking it to the shop it was a spark plug that has been shot out of the head. I don't know all of the right terminology for this but was told this is a common problem for these cars. If I had known this I would have never bought a Ford Mustang 2000 or any other Ford product. I will save all the parts for further investigation.

The car had under 38000 miles on it but I hadn't driven it since 4:30 pm but at about 5 am woke up to the explosions and the car engulfed in flames. Ford has been unresponsive to this saying there is no defect, but it is similar to the expeditions exploding in flames for no reason
there were no modifications to the car or any reason for it to catch fire by itself
the car was a total loss and I did not have insuranse to cover it because I am a single mom and was trying to save a few pennies and had no reason to believe that new of a car would go up in flames.

Electrical short in wire harness caused fire. 2000 Ford Mustang only has 61,000 miles on it.
Consumer states that after getting out of the vehicle and closing the passenger side door there was a fire that started in the door panel melting wires and other parts. Contacted dealer and the dealer noted that there was some shortage in the wiring.
While the vehicle was parked in the parking lot it caught on fire and burned up. The vehicle was totalled. The fire was put out by the fire department. Exact cause of fire is not known.
While driving smoke came out of the air vents. Then, rear seats caught on fire. This was caused by poorly designed speaker wires.
