When shutting the door of my new Mustang the back safety glass exploded. If I had people or my dogs in that seat it could have potentially caused injuries to the occupants. Additionally in front seats due to flying glass I received pieces of glass in my arm from glass on the center arm rest. If this event happened while driving it could have caused a distraction that led to accident. There was no warning this was going to happen. Ford was alerted and after 1 month denied the replacement of the glass.

A vehicle was listed for sale in June 2025 with an odometer reading of 115,152 miles. However, a carfax report dated March 13, 2025, showed the mileage as 37,707. This is a discrepancy of over 77,000 miles in less than three months, raising serious concerns about odometer tampering or title fraud. The issue was discovered prior to vehicle delivery, and the transaction was canceled. The dealership has not provided any explanation for the mileage increase. This discrepancy may mislead future buyers and compromise the vehicle’s maintenance and safety records. The vehicle was not inspected by a mechanic before cancellation. The concern has been reported to the better business bureau (bbb), California dmv, and cfpb.

The back-up camera blanks out; blinks on and off; message says to see the dealer who wants $185 just to diagnose the problem. Is there a recall? and if not it should be. Vehicle has 31,000 miles on odometer. Problem has be occurring since June 2025 and is still ongoing.
There is TSB that was issued on the shift forks of the 2018-2019 Ford Mustangs where aluminum shift forks were originally installed which led to cracking and breakage. Due to this a TSB was issued reverting back to them using steel. My son purchased a 2019 Ford Mustang with only 9000 miles on it three months ago and this part has broke and no one wants to cover the repair. This should be covered repair. There should be a recall.
Clutch pedal is making a creaking sound when pressed and released. This is known on online forums to lead to failure of the welds near the top of the pedal arm where it pivots. This can cause the pedal to come off while driving and is not safe.

The passenger side door will open by itself. This happened twice within the last month with a passenger in the seat and once with no passenger. The warning lamp will come with an alert to say that the passenger side door is open. This puts the safety of those in the car at risk of falling out, or possibly an accident if the door completely opens. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by anyone. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

2020 and above Mustang ecoboost 2. 3l engines are supposed to have the revised engine block design to mitigate coolant intrusion into cylinders and head gasket leak issues. My 2020 model year Mustang ecoboost with the updated block, is suffering from coolant intrusion into cylinder #1. Confirmed by independent ase certified repair shop as well as Ford dealership. No codes. Symptoms includes cold start misfires and cold start white smoke from exhaust. Mpg was inconsistent as well since the air/fuel ratio is disturbed by coolant intrusion. Car is at roughly 37k miles. If issue is not remedied, your engine may blow up during operation without warning.

My back-up camera is periodically unavailable.
I received a recall from Ford, about the rear camera screen software update. But Ford said repair is unavailable until three quarter of 2025, which means it may repair from July to September. Now is only 13th of may. It said it cause the risk of crash. I bought a brand new car and I cannot drive it for nearly 5 months? to save my life , I cannot drive it as I need to protect myself. It’s ridiculous. No any compensation for these recall. No exact repair date. Only wait! and I still responsible for the loan payment and the devalued of the vehicle? I called the dealership and they said they have nothing to do with this. What can I do ? it’s really making troubles to my life and everyday is getting lost of money. But this is not my fault!.

We purchased a Ford Mustang for our daughter 6 years ago, and have had the following ongoing dangerous and expensive widespread issue, 6 incidents to date, caused by Ford knowingly using soy based wiring (as opposed to petroleum based) for environmental reasons, that attract rats like it was cheese. The rats have been eating through essential wiring and once in the car also eating hoses and insulation, putting our daughter’s and others lives in grave danger and costing us thousands of dollars in continuous repairs, the last time rats ate through her brakes! (luckily discovered by warning lights in her car before her brakes failed) Ford is very aware of this issue and receive many complaints but do nothing, except refer me to you after I filed a complaint with them. No warranty covers this. Only my neighbors who don't have cars with soy based wiring don't have this issue, showing that this is clearly the cause. In a futile attempt to combat this, we have expensive monthly exterminator rat service, noise makers in her car, glue pads under her car, in her car (removed when driving), spray peppermint and bleach, and check the car daily. (governor newsom banned rat poison in calif making it more challenging) but these expensive and time consuming measures are not full-proof as evidence of our continual costly repairs, and nothing will work until the root cause is addressed, the soy wiring. Ford needs to replace soy based wiring with petroleum based wiring, pay for all rat damage retroactively and future repairs until the soy wiring is replaced. (I have copies of all repair receipts, dating so far from Nov 2019 through April 2025) just one of many article links in a quick google search that shows this is a widespread issue: "rodents can’t get enough of Fords soy coated wiring and that’s a big problem!" [xxx] please do something because Ford won't. (you ask date of incident, I have 6, I put most recent ) information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Ford is refusing to repair the rear camera wiring defect. The dealer attempted multiple times and Ford is refusing to replace it, instead the dealer is asking for $1000 dollars.
On April 6th, the ac in the car began stalling and a few days after the engine started making all sorts of noise and failing and ultimately stopped working. I kept the car in my garage until I was able to obtain the money to replace the engine. I just yesterday picked up my car from the shop that replaced the engine (where I paid $13,000). The car is back in the shop and having same stalling issues.

Subject: request for investigation - fraudulent and falsified vehicle records (crest Ford & roy o'brien Ford, possible involvement of bell Ford) dear attorney general, I am submitting this complaint to formally request an investigation into fraud committed by roy o'brien, an automobile dealership located in michigan. On [xxx], 1 purchased a 2024 dark horse Mustang #r8911 from roy o'brien under the representation that the vehicle was brand new, undamaged, and met all safety standards. After the sale, I obtained evidence that the vehicle had, in fact, been in an accident during transport and subsequently altered and resold without disclosure. This constitutes misrepresentation and consumer fraud under michigan law. Specifically: • the dealership and its employees knowingly concealed the accident and subsequent alterations. • the vehicle was sold as "factory new," despite being materially compromised in safety and integrity. • I paid full market value under false pretenses, believing the vehicle to be undamaged and original. I have retained documentation, communications, and repair evidence that substantiate this fraud, including proof that dealership personnel were aware of the accident. I am prepared to provide all supporting records for your review. This misconduct not only caused me financial harm but also created a serious public safety risk, as the vehicle does not meet proper safety standards. I respectfully request that your office investigate this matter for potential violations of michigan's consumer protection act and any applicable fraud statutes. Please advise me on next steps and whether additional information is required. I am willing to fully cooperate with your investigation. 1. The vehicle had been in an accident during transport prior to sale. 2. Crest Ford appears to have falsely documented services that were never performed, in an effort to disguise the vehicle's accident history and damage. 3. These falsified service records were used to conspire. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom o.
My new 2024 Mustang gt’s ac doesn't blow cold air. It has less than 3,000 miles. It is beginning to be a known problem for 2024 Mustang owners. This can be dangerous if a driver is trying to use the touch screen to work the air conditioner and settings.
The backup camera stopped working and I notice that there is a big recall on millions of vehicles for the same problem that my vehicle is having. I would also like my backup camera fixed. It just stopped displaying the image and it’s a safety hazard.
Rear camera is not working. When I put the car into reverse I get a blue screen and then an error message stating my rear camera is not available. The sensors still work, if a car/object is close to me the car does beep but I cannot see behind me using my camera. This puts my safety at risk because I cannot see behind me as well as I could with the camera and could potentially hit a car and/or object. My car is at a Ford dealership right now getting looked at to see what could be the cause of this issue. This problem has been happening for the past few months, it started as it would stop working every now and then but work for the most part and now it does not work at all.
Speedometer went to zero while driving and seemed to be in neutral. Could not accelerate. Also low fuel warning light came on when I had a full tank. After car was shut off and restarted speedometer seemed fine for about 1 mile, then self accelerated. Now continues to read zero and can not accelerate unless I restart engine.
Weld between my clutch pedal and pedal assembly broke causing car to stall out in the road. This is a common issue with 2015-2017 manual Mustangs.

2013 Mustang v6, 6r80 automatic transmission. Lead frame is failing, I am getting code p0720. My VIN falls outside of the recall, so I have to spend $850 to get lead frame fixed. Airbag light turns on, dashes through my odometer, and car stays stuck in 5th gear until I cycle key.

Reverse camera occasionally fails to load/display markings about car position, including rear cross traffic alert. Has happened two times, one prior to the instrument recall fix and one after the fix had been applied to my car. Prior to the recall being fixed, the rear cross traffic alert would still work.
I am unable to unlock my driver's side door from the outside. I feel this is a safety concern, considering I am a single woman living in the city. The door will not open with the handle or the key fob. I have to walk around to the passenger side and reach through the vehicle to open the door. When trying to research the issue, I have seen several forums where others are having the same issue. My 2017 Ford Mustang has had several electrical issues that has not made it to the recall list. Such as the heating and cooling system, the back up camera, and the connectivity of the usb port and sync. I am need of assistance in getting the issue with my door fixed. I know that it isn't a safety issue such as a risk while driving, although, it is a safety issue for my safety well being.

I purchased this car from trent family auto on may 2, 2024. On September 11, 2024 the engine failed. While working on replacing the engine I found an open recall. This is safety related and was never mentioned to me by the dealership. So aside from selling me a bad "as is" they sold me an unsafe vehicle. A vehicle my family has ridden in several times since the purchase. In regard to the recall when I reached out to them about the engine replacement cost they stated recalls can only be taken care of by manufacturing dealerships. Shouldn't they have some ownership to inform customer buying an unsafe vehicle there is an open recall? thank your for checking into this matter.

–in the owner’s manual, there are numerous items of information not related to this car. By that, I don't mean a different variation (sl vs rt). I mean it tells you to push buttons that do not exist. For example, in "visual mode", reviewing the steering wheel. –the owner’s manual says to accept a call, press the phone button on the steering wheel – no such button exists. The owner’s manual says to hang up a call, press the phone button. Again no such button. You can not say end call during a call– so no voice modes work in call mode. This forces you to interact with car by removing a hand from steering wheel–thus violating florida statute 316. 305 -- another example- using visual, it points to a button on the wrong side of the wheel. If you click on the “g” represented on the bottom right of the steering wheel it shows “mode” buttons. Mode on the actual wheel is on the left hand side. This is just one example of several items in the manual that don’t match the actual car. Plus you have to “know” the correct terminology to search. In a paper manual you can normally get close and thumb through a few pages to find the right things– without that capability if you don’t know the exact wording you are lost. ---there are also numerous customizable setting that do not hold after “saving”. While these may not be safety issues themselves—the amount of interaction this vehicle requires to figure out “what now?”, is a distraction and may cause accidents. Pics are of the owners manual installed on the car (we no longer get printed versions). 2 screens telling you to end call with buttons on steering wheel. @ pics of all buttons on the wheel. 1 pic of wheel layout according to installed manual (which doesn't match the actual wheel) ---according to dealer the vehicle's software is up to date with current version.
In March 2023 safety recall 22v082000 (Ford number 22s06) was performed to fix a rear view camera malfunction. During the March 2023 work, only the wiring harness was replaced. My belief was that the actual camera should have been replaced as well. Replacing the wiring harness in March 2023 fixed the issue for 13 months, and then the issue re-occurred. Dealership charged $230 diagnosis fee to tell me that the issue was the camera and now the replacement of the camera cost me the $230 diagnostic fee; the $75 part fee for the camera; and the labor to replace the camera - total bill out of pocket $530. I was informed after calling the main Ford customer service number that my 2016 Mustang was not part of the camera recall (only the wiring harness). Camera was only covered with 2015 Mustang. Seems odd to me that they make that distinction between model years but it is the same camera and obviously failed on my vehicle. As a major safety concern I believe Ford has failed to support their customers regarding this issue, and a second recall is warranted for the camera portion on 2016 models as well.
Ford issued a notice in 2018 TSB 18-2256 stating that they knew evaporator cores were leaking refrigerant into the cabin of the cars but did not issue a recall. I know this issue may not lead directly lead to an injury from an accident but the system failure does release toxic chemicals that should not be in the cabin of a vehicle. Because this is a health risk to the occupants of the affected vehicles there should be a recall. I have had my 2016 Ford Mustang in to the Ford mechanic no less than 4 times since I bought it in late 2016 and each time they came up with some new cause for my ac not working and each time the system failed again in less than 2 years. Each time the problem was a supposed refrigerant leak in some other component of the ac system. Now that they've run out of things to replace they have speculated that the most likely cause is a bad evaporator core. My suspicion is that the evaporator core has been the issue from the beginning. Since Ford didn't issue a recall I have been subjected to years of exposure to dangerous chemicals due to this issue. Please make for recall these vehicles for the safety of the occupants of the affected vehicles.
Began over last month with difficulty or rough engine start in mornings then engine overheated once and continues to lose coolant without visible sign of any leakage. Scan error codes p0300, p 0303, p 0304. Now with excessive steam/smoke out tail pipe when it’s started. Took to mechanic where they verified engine coolant is in atleast, cylinder #3. My safety and that of others is the engine can fail or completely break or explode while driving, causing failure to be able to control vehicle, possibly resulting in a crash or even death.
After driving for 2 blocks, my car would not drive when hitting the gas pedal, the engine only reved. Unable to move the car in any gear, pedestrians helped push my car out of the middle of the road. Towed the car to a Ford dealership because the Ford app on my phone said "shift solenoid stuck in off position". Upon diagnosis the dealership said yes the solenoid is stuck in the off position but now the gears are slipping and you need a brand new transmission. This is the 10r80 automatic transmission that has had problems like this nationwide. I don't understand how this has not been recalled yet. With 63,000 miles a transmission should not be failing. There have been hundreds of documented cases of this specific transmission failing for countless reasons involving internal components.
Ford motor company has an issue with their 2024 Ford Mustang convertibles, where condensation forms in the footwell ducts during air conditioner operation. As condensation accumulates, water drips onto the driver's foot and potentially the gas and/or brake pedal, creating a risk of driver error. This issue has been known since the vehicle's delivery nearly two years ago. Ford has acknowledged the problem but has not provided a resolution, stating that this occurrence is "expected. " some additional drivers are also experiencing this: [xxx] [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Like many many Ford Mustangs 2015 and newer, the ac evaporator has failed and is leaking. This can cause condensation on the windshield and visibility issues with fogging / defrosting. Ford refuses to replace the defective evaporator. Ford dealer coughlin Ford, newark, ohio diagnosed the defect and provided an estimate of $2,679. 88 to replace the evaporator.
He steering wheel feels loose and hard at times.
On multiple occasions now, the passenger side door has randomly opened, which sets off the door ajar warning, and I have to pull over and close the door. In addition, again randomly, the passenger side door locks will unlock, then relock, usually several times in rapid succession. Both situations seem to occur only when the vehicle is in drive, and not while in park. The vehicle is available for inspection; fortunately, no one was sitting in the passenger seat when these instances occured; the problem has not yet been diagnosed by a dealer or service center; it has not been inspected by anyone; there were no warning lamps or messages prior to the failure, only after the door popped open. I am making this report prior to having it inspected by the dealership because it seems to be a very common problem with other Mustang owners as evidenced by this site, as well as on Mustang forums.
There was a recall regarding the backup camera and/or its harness, I took this in to have it replaced and the dealership did not correct the problem, then when I went to have it serviced again, the dealership was closed down, I need my camera repaired/replaced.
