1 Steering Noise problem of the 2016 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 01/12/2016

Temporary loss of control of vehicle due to shaking, popping, vibration and loud noise from steering assembly, car wheels and steering wheel when initiating initial movement of vehicle from a cold condition (startup from a cold/parked state). This has happened repeatedly on an intermittent basis in the four months that I have owned this vehicle.

2 Steering Noise problem of the 2015 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 09/13/2015

As I was making a left hand turn into my driveway, we heard a slight snap noise and the power steering quit. Lights started coming on, on the drivers screen, indicating that many functions of the car had stopped working, like traction control. I could not turn the wheel. My husband wrestled the car into the garage. We called our local Ford dealer in the morning and they had it towed to the dealership. They said it was an internal e. P. A. S. Rack failure. The part number was fr3z-3504-a, kit - steering. I would hate to think about what would have happened if I had been on a busy road or interstate when this occurred.

3 Steering Noise problem of the 2012 Ford Mustang

Failure Date: 08/01/2015

I am writing this because it is related to safety issue and Ford does not reply properly to my questions. I am asking if my 2012 Mustang steering making loud noise constantly during turning, is it possible to be driven or have to be parked. Is it possible that steering will be stuck or not with the current issue? if the steering is stuck during operating, terrible accident will be happen. Fords should have a good advice on this problem since they make the car. I paid the dealership $120 to diagnose the problem that they already know. In addition, they charge $1800 to replace the steering unit. It is too much for a car with 48,000 miles. Ford recalls the steering unit on 2015 Ford Mustang, why not 2012 model? apparently, so many steering problems with Mustang in early state, and they are not cheap to repair.

2009 Mustang gt steering wheel make noise when driving slow, such as during parking. I brought it back to the dealer but they say they dont know why. I am concern this is a potential saftey issue, e. G. Steering stuck during driving or steering wheel out of control. Thank you.
