The brake pedal stopper failed. The brake lights stay on all the time, you are unable to accelerate safely. This is a driveability and safety issue and poor design. This occured while driving on street, when I stopped is when I noticed the brake lights on after 15 minutes being stopped. I restarted car and attempted to accelerate but unable to effectively. I had a vehicle follow me around block and the brake lights were on all the time. Had vehicle trailered to the Ford dealer for diagnosis and repair. This vehicle has only 1857 miles on it.

While driving my 2011 Ford Mustang (with a v6 engine and automatic transmission) at 40mph on a local street, I experienced the vehicle unexpectedly losing power and a fault light in the form of a wrench appearing on the dashboard. The engine speed dropped down to idle and did not respond to any gas pedal operation. The cars engine remained running, however, the engine ran roughly as evidence of it shaking the entire car. The incident placed myself and other drivers around me in danger, as I had to move quickly to get my vehicle out of the moving traffic and into a safe place off the side of the road.

Digital instrument cluster goes blank without warning, usually when starting it up after it's been running. It takes between 10-30 minutes to come back on. Dealer doing warranty work has run through all Ford recommended tests and reinstallation of as build data - nothing works. This has happened since the vehicle was brand new; I now have 19,000 miles on it. Ford does not have a TSB for the 2020 gt Mustang with this problem. I cannot drive the vehicle without the instrument panel.

The actual getrag defective and faulty manual transmission on Ford Mustang 2020 still causing serious personal safety issues nowadays. In manual transmission vehicles, downshifting gears on a reliable, effective and efficient transmission part, it's a serious and determining factor at the moment the driver needs to slow down safely or even stop the vehicle, especially on longer downhill roads so brake overheating and possible failure of them can be avoided or in the eventual case of towing a load. . . Shifting gears at also important when increasing speed is required or even expected, like at the moment a car incorporates or merge in to a freeway from the ramp and it's required to match the ongoing and specially, the oncoming vehicles or traffic, this risk increases if the oncoming vehicle is a loaded trailer to set 1 example. Being able to efficiently increase speed if slowing down option is not the advisable in the particular circumstances; is actually a determining factor at the moment of avoid a lateral deadly collision or in the best of the cases an injury. This defective transmission had situated me in this kind of risky situations of collision and deadly crashes, that fortunately were managed to be avoided. Ford it's actually facing on this year (2020) a class action (case 2:20-cv-11310-ljm-drg ecf no. 1) for refusing us the customers, to get replaced, repaired, and totally solution and cure the problem with this dangerous and unreliable transmission part. Unlike! Ford refuses to acknowledge their responsibility and trying to scam us and even charge us expensive amounts for repairs, claiming that it's a wear and tear issue or aggressive driving, drivers performing burnouts etc. Trying to scam us with even a 1 month of using, brand new cars and with their warranty, claiming that it's due to the clutch and clutch is the only thing they don't cover.
Speedometer shut off while driving on highway. Then the transmission downshifted and car started to swerve as the transmission rpm went into the red. I had to hit brake to get control of vehicle. The car has under 80,000 miles. I slowed the vehicle down and pulled over to the shoulder. I shut the vehicle off and then checked around vehicle. I then got I. And restarted and all gauges came back on and resumed cautiously to my destination at a reduced highway speed of 45mph rather than 65moh. Luckily no vehicle was behind me or beside me when the vehicle swerved.

While driving up a hill and attempting to pass another vehicle, I briefly lost acceleration. This happened again a few minutes later, and repeated a couple more times. I had never experienced this issue before and there were no warning indicators, or any other signs of mechanical failure. After happening several times, losing acceleration intermittently without taking my foot off the gas, a warning message displayed "hill assist not available," and then disappeared. No other warning messages or dash indicators appeared, and I could not find anything relating to hill assist in my settings. After parking and shutting off my car, I noticed the brake lights remained on- I could not figure out how to turn them off. I searched all of these issues and found a blog post written by another owner experiencing the same issues. The other owner found small fragments of a broken plastic disc on the floor mat, below the petals- I found the same thing in my car. I went to a nearby auto zone for assistance and was advised the broken piece was a "brake light switch plunger. " one of their associates quickly installed a $3. 00 replacement for me, which seemed to fix all of the issues. I have not yet taken my car to Ford, but plan to do so ASAP. Each time I lost acceleration I was traveling up a hill, and it was only temporary- with no other systems appearing to be affected.
Trying to accelerate to make a left hand turn I lost acceleration. This continued, step on the gas and nothing wait a few seconds and the the car will accelerate. Current mechanic is unable to diagnose.
I was pulling out of work onto a busy street when car went into idle mode because of the throttle body drive by wire system. There was no indication anything was wrong or about to go wrong. God was really looking out for me on this particular day because the cars that were on this busy road wasn't in a hurry like they normally are and I avoided a (t-bone)collision. It really scared me and I haven't drove the car anymore and it's for sale. I thought it should be reported and I will tell whoever buys the car what happened upfront. I'm not willing to risk it doing the same thing again. I switched the key off and started the car back up and drove it 40 miles home without any problems and it will never be driven by me again.

At acceleration the car won't shift when needed then it'll automatically down shift and stop accelerating. The rpm gage needle bounces up & down with & with acceleration imaged speed still decreases then something catches and it'll start accelerating & rpm going to high then starts all over before finally working right.

I was driving around our local lake doing 25 mph. I had just come around a curve and was headed for another curve pretty quickly. All of the sudden the car started speeding up on its own. I took my foot off the gas pedal and I hit the brakes to try to slow down and nothing happened. The car continued to speed up on its own. My speed got up to about 40 mph when I came up on a curve. I slammed on the brakes again and tried to turn the wheel but I had no control over the car at this point. It continued to accelerate and I missed the corner and landed in a pond on the other side of the lake in about 3 1/2 feet of water. My car was then submerged up the top of the trunk in water.

I was shifting out of a parking space from reverse to drive. The wrench icon came on on the dashboard and the car shuttered. I immediately turned it off, left it off for about 10 seconds and starting it again. I pulled into a parking space, called my husband and he came to follow me home in case it happened while driving on the street. It did not. About 4 days later I pulled out of my garage and the wrench icon came on again and the car shuttered. I turned it off and pulled the car into the garage again. A few days later I was able to get it in with my mechanic. They could not find anything wrong with it on the diagnostics and could not replicate the fault. I found a lot on line about the throttle body problems with Ford vehicles. My brother had the exact same thing happen to his car (same problem) and he had it towed to the dealer and the throttle body was replaced free of charge. They told him this happens a lot. So, I will bring my car home today with nothing found. How do I trust it to drive it? thanks for your time.

I was driving my vehicle on the highway (I-4) on my way to work on 10/24/2019, I was going about 65 mph and suddenly the vehicle decreased speed to about 35 -40 mph, on the instrument panel the wrench light or symbol came on, I was almost rear ended and hit by 2 vehicles traveling at normal speed. As I pressed on the gas pedal the car would not pick up speed, I believe this is called "limp mode'. I was luckily able to avoid the accident by pulling off to the side of the highway. I shut the vehicle off, since I was not sure if it could also be a fire hazard. Waited a few minutes and looked up the issue on the internet. I turned the vehicle back on and it was as if nothing had ever happened. I was able to get back on the road and I thought maybe it was just a malfunction. I was very scared but drove into work with no idling issues. Saturday 10/26/2019 I was on my way to the grocery store and it happened again, near my house on a residential road. I was going about 35-40 and all of the sudden the vehicle once again slowed down, this time to about 10-15 mph. Once again, I was almost rear ended, I was able to pull onto the side of the road, this time I called a tow truck. I waited a few hours and nothing. I shut the vehicle off and drove home, about half a mile. Once again the dashboard clear and car drove off with no issue. Car was taken to dealership on 10/26/2019. It is currently being looked at but I do not feel safe driving this vehicle.
My daughter and I were getting home from a short trip. As I was slowing down and turning into my driveway the car accelerated out of control. I had to turn sharply to avoid a parked car and was headed straight into our neighbors house. I stomped on the brake, but it just went to the floor. I was about to throw the car into park when I regained control. Stopped the car, put it in park and told my terrified daughter to get out and go in the house. I backed up, pulled into my driveway and parked it. I'm scared to drive it now.

While driving my car it went into a "limp mode". It has happened several times but this particular day I was crossing an intersection and my car just lost power. I was almost smashed on each side. A wrench light popped up on my dashboard and the car would not move. I was literally stuck in the middle of the intersection. I had to place the car in park and turn it off for 3 minutes. It started back up but it still does it at least 5-6 times a week. I had the throttle body cleaned and it still does it. I am only the second owner of this vehicle and I take good care of it. I love the Mustangs, but if I would've know of this very serious safety issue, I wouldn't have bought it. I can be driving at 60mph and this will happen. This is very dangerous and frightening. I've read that some previous Ford models have been recalled for this same issue. I don't understand why the Mustangs haven't been. This is unacceptable by Ford. When I called them they just told me to keep my receipts. I cannot believe they are doing this to people.
Random acceleration. Backed out of parking space , put car in drive and pressed accelerator to move forward. Acceleration increased on its own. Removed foot from accelerator, pressed the brake. Acceleration continued to increase, hit the brake pedal hard. . Accelerator continued to increase on its own. (couldn't stop vehicle) hit a curb and flipped the vehicle.

While on vacation (my car was at home) a piece in my brakes broke and caused my break lights to be on constantly. When I tried starting my car the battery was dead. The break likes being on like they were ended up causing my battery to corrode by time I got home from the continuous energy drain. I was able to jumpstart my car but when I went to put my car in drive the vehicle would not accelerate over pretty much idling. When I got my car towed to the dealership (gary yeoman's) they told me the break bumper disintegrated and caused my break lights to be on and a vehicle acceleration override to be engaged.
While accelerating on a public highway the throttle went straight to redline and would not decelerate until the transmission was shifted into neutral and the motor was completely shut off. Vehicle was restarted by setting the key back to run and placing the clutch back in 2nd gear while in motion. The car could have easily injured motorist's had it not been shut down in properly.

Engine goes to fuel throttle while driving on highway or in town & also when at a full stop on its own I have to either shut off ignition or if driving put vehicle in neutral then hit throttle to stop the high rpm extremely unsafe. Have not driven car in over two monthd.
My 2013 Ford Mustang feels as if it drops into 1st gear while at a speed of 40 to 60 mph feels as if the car brakes on its own rpms will go up but speedometer will be on 0 mph. I think the f 150 is having a similar problem and my Mustang does have the v6 automatic transmission.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Ford Mustang. While driving various speeds, the vehicle suddenly sputtered and hesitated. The service vehicle sensor displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The failure continued and the vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the throttle body was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 34,000.
While driving down a city street the engine will shutdown with no warnings. You start losing speed but all the rest of the dash lights and electric power steering continue to work. This causes a very unsafe condition where other people could run into the back of the car. As of 12/17/2018 I have took the at back to the dealership three times where the first time they replaced the electronic throttle body then with in three day the engine shutdown going down the street again. The second time the car was took back to the dealership the power control module was reprogrammed and within three day the engine shutdown again going down the street several times. As of 12/17/2018 the car was took back to the dealership and I was told that they had to verify for themselves that the car was doing this have not heard anything back at this point yet. This condition has almost caused me to be hit from behind three times.
Tl the contact owns a 2004 Ford Mustang. While driving 25 mph, the accelerator pedal became caught in the floormat and caused the vehicle to accelerate. The contact had to shift into neutral to stop the vehicle. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 169,865.

~tl the contact owns a 2010 Ford Mustang. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle accelerated without warning. The contact had to depress the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was 65,000.
After having my car for 5. 5 years, it started to shift gears on its own (it's an automatic) and brake/stall when I'm going low speeds. Especially when I'm at a stop light or stop sign, it will not allow me to accelerate (been stuck in middle of intersections about 5 times) even with my foot on the accelerator. The engine does not shut off. . . So I will turn my car off and back on to get going again. One time I was on the free way with a full tank of gas going 65 mph and my dash board went completely red and speedometer went to zero. . . The car did not stop until I manually turned if off on the side of the road. Also, it once did the opposite when I was trying to brake before a red light, the car jolted/accelerated forward while my foot was on the gas. I've replaced the air filters, battery, alternator, and engine's wire harness (all at separate times) and the issue remains.
Tl the contact owns a 2004 Ford Mustang. While attempting to drive off from a parking space, the vehicle accelerated from 0 to approximately 40 mph. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the front driver's side of another vehicle the air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was damaged, but was not towed. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 171,000.
Tl takata recall. The contact owns a 2013 Ford Mustang. While driving highway speeds, the vehicle drastically decelerated without warning. The contact had to constantly adjust the speed each time the failure occurred. Westway Ford (801 airport fwy, irving, TX 75062, (972) 584-9033) was notified of the failure. The contact also received recall notices for NHTSA campaign numbers: 15v319000 (air bags) and 18v046000 (air bags). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the parts were not available for the recall repair. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Ford Mustang. While driving at low speeds, the vehicle would not accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. In addition, the wrench icon illuminated on the instrument panel and the rpms increased excessively. The vehicle was taken to david mcdavid Ford fort worth (300 w loop 820 s, fort worth, TX 76108, (682) 200-1952) to be diagnosed, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact to call NHTSA to file complaint. The failure mileage was 84,000.
The electronic throtle body control has to be replaced because the engine accelerator quits working and the engine runs at idle but there is no acceleration when you step on the accelerator pedal. This has happened when I stop at a signal or stop sign and then attempt to continue driving, and I have been stuck in the middle of the intersection on city streets. This has occured about 4 or 5 times in the last month.
Crossing lanes on highway car stops accelerating,. Car unable to speed up everything else seems to works fine. Check engine light and wrench come on. Had to coast to side of the road park checked engine restarted car operated normally all warning lights off.
Lost power in my 2012 v6 Mustang. Wrench light came on indicating limp home mode. Was able to pull off to the side of road. Turned engine off and the it was fine for about two miles then cut off again. Restarted again and was able to make it home but the engine light is on. Going to try and get it to the shop tomorrow, but this is a severe safety problem in my mind. Was lucky I didn't get rear ended.
I have having issues with wiring. Wide shield wipers don't work, multiple head lights are out and dome light stays on sometimes.
